Trustworthy and communicates well. Miguel kept us updated on the daily processes and progress. We watched the process and let me tell you my deck is more than what I imagined. It is beautiful and relaxing and solid. I have never seen any contractor out here, take the extra steps to make sure a deck did not rot away and was level. Miguel is a little ocd, that's a good thing. The little extras go a long way. We have other projects around our home that we are hiring JD Land Development for. Thank you Miguel and JD Land Development. We are very happy with our new deck.

I used JD Land Development while they were out here in California. The owner/contractor/carpenter…read morewas absolutely the greatest choice we could have ever made! He was responsive to all of our questions and requests, his bid was less than 80% of the other contractors, and finished the job a week early and under budget. We added a bathroom & bedroom to the first floor for my father and could not believe how great the job turned out. His crew/subs were here early or on time, not one mess was left behind every single day, and would personally go over what was completed and asked for input at the end of each week. We were gone one day when the extremely expensive tile we picked out and bought for the bathroom but he sent his tile subcontractor to another job because when he started the tile it didn't look good to him in terms of color and size. He left a voicemail, text and email, all with photos and we were so happy he had stopped the tile from being installed. He also saw how much we paid for the tile and suggested an alternate tile that was more than half the price for both the tile and labor due to the size of the tile. I looked at the review left by another person who had used them for another job and I'm having a hard time believing what she had to say. BTW, Miguel, the partner/contractor only recently completed this work for us has a great reputation for the work he has completed on every job out here in California. We checked with the people he listed as references and even visited with a family he had worked with and got to look at the work completed and got to ask questions about his work. This family gave such a positive reference that we signed with him that da

They repaired beams, installed a sump pump and a humidifier, lined everything, replaced the door, and dug a drain out into the yard. Even when their machinery fell through, instead of delaying our project, they dug the trench by hand. They were super helpful, polite, and easy to work with. I had a 4,000+ square foot crawlspace encapsulated -- a major job by any measure. The big-name companies quoted me prices that made my eyes water. Omni came in at roughly 25% of what the large outfits were charging, and the quality of work was absolutely top-shelf. Here's what stood out: Speed -- They completed the entire project in under a week. No dragging it out, no excuses. Professionalism -- Every interaction was courteous, communicative, and respectful of my home and my time. Integrity -- When some electrical work was outside their scope, they didn't try to wing it or upcharge me. They referred me to a qualified electrician. That kind of honesty is rare. Attention to detail -- They went beyond the core job and rebuilt my crawlspace doors with noticeable improvements. That's not something you ask for -- it's something a company does when they actually care about the finished product. This is the kind of contractor experience you wish every home project could be. No overselling, no surprises, no shortcuts. Just solid, professional work at a fair price. A++ -- Gold Star -- Highest possible recommendation. Omni Total Solutions has earned a customer for life.

I wish I didn't have to write this review: we had a great experience with the company a couple…read moreyears ago (so great that I served as a reference for them!), so when we needed help with a substantial primary bathroom renovation, they were our first call. Unfortunately, our experience this time around was terrible -- I cannot in good faith recommend them anymore. Giving two stars (rather than one) because the work quality was very good. Subs did a great job, were friendly and cleaned up after themselves. In the end, we didn't go over budget. But we paid a lot of money and experienced a lot of unnecessary delay and drama. In short, our project was a victim of poor communication and lack of ownership taking responsibility. We went through four project managers: the first went MIA on us, delaying the demo start by 6 weeks; the second hadn't read any of the project briefing and let us to believe none of our materials had been ordered; the third was too busy with other projects to make ours a priority; and the fourth was brand new, didn't really know what he was doing, and wasn't getting the oversight he needed from leadership. To the company's credit, they didn't end up charging us for project management--as we'd been doing a big portion of it ourselves. Ultimately, a project that should've taken 8-10 weeks took 16 weeks (and that's after the 6-week-delayed start). The thing that was most frustrating was that while Dan was fairly responsive to our outreach when things were regularly going wrong, he was also regularly pretty dismissive of our concerns and didn't take responsibility for all of the mistakes and screw-ups that were the result of his team's failings--failing to read the brief; failing to install underfloor heating and electrical that was in the brief, resulting in ripping up tile that had just been laid; failing to inspect goods on arrival so that they could be replaced when broken without delaying the project; failing to tell us about budget implications of design choices, etc. Dan will say I was mad when things went wrong, and that some of those things were out of their control. Yes, I was mad. But mostly I was disappointed that I trusted this company, and they took advantage of that trust.
