What I appreciate most with SMP is that they tailor their approach to each student while providing the structure and accountability needed to succeed. They are also incredibly accommodating and flexible with scheduling, which has been a huge help for our busy family. One thing I always tell parents is that SMP gives students every opportunity to succeed, but the student has to put in the effort. If your child attends the sessions, completes the homework, and follows the program, the results can be remarkable. I saw this firsthand with my own children. Unfortunately, after spending a significant amount of money on this service, we saw little to no measurable improvement. Throughout the program, I communicated my concerns directly to the owner. Rather than addressing the effectiveness of the tutoring, I was repeatedly made to feel as though my son was the problem. In my opinion, the tutors lacked the ability to teach concepts in a way that promoted true understanding and mastery of the SAT. Sessions often consisted of simply reviewing information and test questions rather than providing meaningful instruction, strategies, or personalized guidance. What made this experience even more disappointing was that after leaving this program, I found another tutor who worked with my son for just three weeks. During that short period, his SAT score increased by 170 points. This demonstrated to me that my son was fully capable of improving when provided with effective instruction and support. After the tutoring service itself acknowledged that my son and their program were not the right fit, I requested a refund or at least a partial refund given the lack of results and the substantial cost. The owner never responded to my request. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service. The program was extremely expensive, produced no meaningful results for my son, and when concerns were raised, they were not addressed in a professional or customer-focused manner. Update as a response to owner feedback. 100% my son sat for the exam they were contracted for and this is where no improvement was made. After the results I was given the option of one on one tutoring at an additional $75/hr. Obviously this service lacks the ability to keep a student engaged and motivated and the results of a different tutoring service proves that SMP is not a good investment.

Having all of our questions answered, we started the sessions. They offer to have the lessons at your home or a public location. Our tutor, Asad, is awesome. He is prepared and proficient. All of the materials are covered in the fee. This includes the diagnostic tests and weekly worksheets. After each session, he provides a detailed follow-up of what was covered, what the performance was and what is to be completed. All of this is matching the overall customized plan designed by the owner. We contacted other companies and individual tutors but were most impressed with this company. I am very pleased with this customized plan and the competency of the tutor. I would highly recommend them.

We have used First Class Prep for Math, History, English, Science and even a Religion course through the last three years, all with great results.
