Absolute worst. Reminds me of a public county hospital. Rude registration staff. Rushed, botched…read moresurgery that I had to have corrected at Aurora Summit. Charged for the botched surgery and post op appt that was cancelled. Still fighting the bills. Avoid this hospital and go to Aurora Summit if you can.

My husband and I had a terrible and sad experience. Zero customer service. My husband was…read moreadmitted to the hospital at about 3:00 a.m. and I found out at 12:00 p.m. when I found a text from the assisted living facility where he resided. There was no attempt to call me from the hospital from 3:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. when I called the hospital I found out he was having a cardiac cath. When I got to the hospital he was still in the cath lab. When he returned to his room he was in critical condition with a perforated artery in his heart. The cardiologist, Dr. Volkert? Very poor experience with him. He wasn't kind, he wasn't really interested in speaking with us until he had no choice as he made arrangements to fly my husband to UW Madison. I obtained his medical record and after reading them I have many questions that may never be answered. There are irregularities in charting related to obtaining consent. He was very hard of hearing and had Parkinson's dementia. Who is responsible to make sure families are called and informed of their loved ones being in the hospital? My husband died at 6:30 p.m. at UW Hospital in Madison. The one bright spot in this mess was his nurse, Chad, to whom I will be eternally grateful. He kept me updated about every detail of what was happening to my husband.
