There was a suspected issue with the injectors which they couldn't fix so rang the VW Centre who said to bring it down and they would have a look. I dropped it off Monday lunch time and was told they would hopefully look at it that afternoon and ring me. They didn't, so I rang back to find out what was going on to be told they were busy and they would look at it the next day and ring me, they didn't so I rang back again to be told they were busy. I then received a phone call from the boss who said I needed to collect my car as I keep ringing up and hassling his staff! I was very taken back by this as they told me they would ring me and didn't. After a brief conversation (and being told multiple times they were busy) he said he would look at it and let me know but this may take a few days. They had my car over a week and I waited for their call (as I was now worried to ring them). I then received a phone call from the boss telling me they haven't had time to look at it and I need to pick it up and take it somewhere else! Obviously I was very annoyed at this point and had quite a heated conversation with the owner. I told him this was the worst customer service I had ever received when he became very threatening and told me 'not to bring my attitude when I collect my car!' I collected my car this morning and was told by the boss that 'If I went to Tesco I wouldn't expect to go to the front of the queue' while calling me 'fella'! This man is the most unprofessional, rude, condescending person I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Unfortunately the college had wiped the error codes, but had written them down on a piece of paper, which I gave to the garage when I dropped the car off. Even though the boss was not happy about this as he wanted 'live data'. When I collected the car and asked for this piece of paper so I could take it to another garage he told me he had 'put it in the bin'! Do you self a favour and don't take your car to this garage, the worst service I have ever received and will never go back!

Had R.A.C out to my car low idle no revs said it sounds like an injector as the car is firing on…read more3.At this time the car was already booked in at another well known local garage..The local garage diagnosed a faulty actuator which would cost around £300 to replace myself having looked into the cost of an exchange actuator which was £100 looks like the local garage wanted £200 to fit it .Which i did my self a 10 min job 3 bolts and a plug and did not need any codes clearing from the ecu.After changing the actuator on the car it was the same low idle no revs. On the day i was supposed to take the car to the well known local garage the car wouldn't start so i called out a mobile mechanic who got the car running again.So i i had to book my car in again but not with the well known local garage .When the rac patrolman fixed my car the best he could he recommended A.V.R .And having a new key cut for the car a few weeks previous to my problems kings Lynn car keys suggested avr ..I was well pleased with the service from AVR i was expecting a huge bill for 2 injectors and labour costs but it was a very good price for the work they did.The car was diagnosed as the guy drove past me in my car a quick chat with him he had the experience and the knowledge and said what it was and it turned out to be the problem.I will use this garage again no hesitation.

Monarch Automotive is a automotive garage that was formerly the Perkins Service Garage, which was…read moresold off to Monarch. The staff who work there are much the same as when it was part of Perkins. The garage is a trustworthy one, where in my experience, they only do the work you ask them to do or they will tell you if something needs doing and then you decide. Their customer service is good and the folks there have a good telephone manner. Perhaps not the most convenient location, it is still worth goping to for trustworthy mechanics who charge adecent rate. A few main dealers could learn from this place. I just hope they keep this good standard up.

This is the worst garage I have ever had the misfortune to use, my car broke down and the RAC…read morediagnosed a crankshaft sensor the car drove under its own power onto Monarch recovery unit it their workshops they changed the camshaft sensor at twice the cost parts alone of the original quote they then replaced the plug leads as there was signs of rodent damage (this had been there for 3 months) when it still didn't cure the problem they stated it must be rodent damage to the wiring, I insisted that the car was returned to me after paying nearly £400 the car was returned and would not start at all when I looked at the car I replaced the crankshaft sensor in 30 mins on my front garden at a cost of £49 the car started first time and has run with no problem I was clear that the crank sensor had not been touched as it was covered in oil and road dirt I have complained to Monarch but they have not had the courtesy to reply to it they just appear to be kicking it around till it goes away. I feel that this garage is a total rip off

I booked the car in and then left it with them. The car was ready way before it was ment to be, the hirer car was brand new, clean and tidy. and the best higher car I have ever used. It was all checked before I left the garadge, and mine was checked in. I went along to bennetts today to collect the car, and what a brilliant outstanding service, they had also done a couple of scratches and pulled a dent out for me. i have to give bennett's a zero star rating for their unacceptable workmanship…read more my car had minor damage, bonnet to be replaced and bumper to repaired / painted. my car was returned with paint damaged along both sides as they had used a damp dust sheet and baked it in the spray booth. they damaged the paint on top of the wing and painted over the damage. paint over-spray on both wings and headlamps. bonnet was a poor fit and poorly fitted and not rust proofed. cross- member was not repaired or replaced as it is hidden from view. they were given a second chance to rectify all the faults and failed. an independent motor engineer examined my car and agreed it was still an unacceptable repair. my car was then repaired by p & r coachworks breckenwood road fulbourn cambridge cb21 5dq my car has now been repaired to a high standard you would never know that it was ever damaged and spot on customer service from p & r coachworks.
