Shocking. Two complaints…read more 1. Car went in for mot, needed a headlight bulb replacement. They fitted but then the lens leaked and was filled with condensation. Left it with them for 3 weeks, no updates unless I chased. Car came back unfixed with no explanation and this was after me collecting only to see half of the light unit thrown into my footwell! Thanks for that! 2. Car has an electrical fault. Quoted £750 for repairs. Spoke with manufacturer and quoted £200 less and told the garage had been given same quote! What's that all about? Used to trust these guys but absolutely not anymore. Just wonder what else I've paid for over the years that I would have paid less for elsewhere! Update!!! One year on and the headlight unit has caused an MOT failure! Also told the bulb replacement was non-compliant, clips are missing etc. Disgusting really. Without hesitation I'll do my utmost to ensure this garage is held accountable for this. Knew it was an issue a year ago but felt like I had no course of action. Not now, I'm up for the fight.

The staff who work there are much the same as when it was part of Perkins. The garage is a trustworthy one, where in my experience, they only do the work you ask them to do or they will tell you if something needs doing and then you decide. Their customer service is good and the folks there have a good telephone manner. Perhaps not the most convenient location, it is still worth goping to for trustworthy mechanics who charge adecent rate. A few main dealers could learn from this place. I just hope they keep this good standard up.

This is the worst garage I have ever had the misfortune to use, my car broke down and the RAC…read morediagnosed a crankshaft sensor the car drove under its own power onto Monarch recovery unit it their workshops they changed the camshaft sensor at twice the cost parts alone of the original quote they then replaced the plug leads as there was signs of rodent damage (this had been there for 3 months) when it still didn't cure the problem they stated it must be rodent damage to the wiring, I insisted that the car was returned to me after paying nearly £400 the car was returned and would not start at all when I looked at the car I replaced the crankshaft sensor in 30 mins on my front garden at a cost of £49 the car started first time and has run with no problem I was clear that the crank sensor had not been touched as it was covered in oil and road dirt I have complained to Monarch but they have not had the courtesy to reply to it they just appear to be kicking it around till it goes away. My car failed it's mot and the explanation of why it had failed was explained fully so I understood (as most other garages just say it failed and then try to charge and earth to fix it) but this garage explained what need to be done and got my car straight on the ramp to get it sorted and it did not cost the earth at all. It then passed the mot with flying colours after they sorted it out for me, so I have found this to be the best garage I have ever been to. There is a big window so you can see your car being worked on. FREE coffee and wifi in the reception area while you wait. There was a suspected issue with the injectors which they couldn't fix so rang the VW Centre who said to bring it down and they would have a look. I dropped it off Monday lunch time and was told they would hopefully look at it that afternoon and ring me. They didn't, so I rang back to find out what was going on to be told they were busy and they would look at it the next day and ring me, they didn't so I rang back again to be told they were busy. I then received a phone call from the boss who said I needed to collect my car as I keep ringing up and hassling his staff! I was very taken back by this as they told me they would ring me and didn't. After a brief conversation (and being told multiple times they were busy) he said he would look at it and let me know but this may take a few days. They had my car over a week and I waited for their call (as I was now worried to ring them). I then received a phone call from the boss telling me they haven't had time to look at it and I need to pick it up and take it somewhere else! Obviously I was very annoyed at this point and had quite a heated conversation with the owner. I told him this was the worst customer service I had ever received when he became very threatening and told me 'not to bring my attitude when I collect my car!' I collected my car this morning and was told by the boss that 'If I went to Tesco I wouldn't expect to go to the front of the queue' while calling me 'fella'! This man is the most unprofessional, rude, condescending person I have ever had the misfortune to meet. Unfortunately the college had wiped the error codes, but had written them down on a piece of paper, which I gave to the garage when I dropped the car off. Even though the boss was not happy about this as he wanted 'live data'. When I collected the car and asked for this piece of paper so I could take it to another garage he told me he had 'put it in the bin'!
