Cancelled collection a week later at the last minute and it took another week. Never changed the front pads as promised. Soon after the car developed a charging fault which they had back to replace the alternator, but claimed it was a lose wire. It lasted about a week then faulted again and it took them a week of broken promises to collect the car. Eventually I had it replace locally for a cheap price and they haggled the refund and left me short by £15. The car then developed an oil leak. They had it a week and rather than repairing it properly, did a cheap, but so far effective repair. Then the seatbelt warning came on and I had it diagnosed to an open circuit and had the socket replaced and they refused to pay and are now ignoring me. Unfortunately for them I have 40 years in the motor trade and most of the time they just fob you off and come up with all sorts of comical excuses. Trust me, look elsewhere. Thankfully it's now running ok and it's out of warranty so I'll not have to contact them again. You have been warned!

Fengate Motors sold me a car recently. After hearing some very dodgy noises, I took the car to my…read morelocal garage. This was within 3 weeks of purchasing, only to be told that it "looks as though it's been sat in the sea for 2 years". The underneath is badly corroded, complete with large holes! These were most certainly there during the time this vehicle passed its MOT (3 months ago). How did it pass? No idea. I contacted the MOT company who said that they do not have records dating back that far. After looking through the MOT certicates, I found that the car had done 250 miles in 2 years! I immediately contacted Fengate Motors, expecting a pleasant response and a positive outcome...only to be told that I had been given a £95 discount, so what more did I want? The car was £1995, I paid £200 to have it delivered. There are many many other problems with the car, not just new brake pads and 2 new tyres required as was stated by the dealer. A full report has been sent to the dealer, along with several letters as advised by trading standards. Needless to say, I have not received a response. Although £2000 may not be a huge amount of money, I am a single, working mother of 3 (8 year old twins and a 2 year old). Being without a car is a nightmare for me and my children and means extremely early starts every morning, 2 buses and a long walk for me after the nursery drop. My advice.....DO NOT BUY FROM FENGATE MOTORS!!!! V
