Joe was great to work with in replacing a large pendant fixture with 12' ceilings and installing new switches/dimmers. Quick, professional and helpful. read more

Joe responded quickly and came out the next day. Our issue was with a recently non-working, bath exhaust fan (probably ~40 years old) that he was able to get back running with minimal maintenance to the unit. His charge for the basic service call was modest and he explained alternatives should the unit fail again. read more

Just awesome. Quick to respond, got to the root of my problem in no time, and very reasonable charge for the work done. Joe is still the absolute best electrician around! If you have an older home (ours are over 100+) and have knob and wire he will know how to take care of it. He's installed numerous ceiling fans, ran an outlet to directly behind our mounted tv to hid the cords and most recently added an additional breaker. His pricing can't be beat and he's fast, trustworthy and all around good guy. In the future I plan on hiring him again to instal an electric power supply for our smart car - something he's getting more and more jobs doing as of late. Don't hesitate to hire him! read more

Joe has been doing electrical work for me personally and for our business for the last five years or so. He installed everything from complete breaker boxes, individual outlets, to lights and more and never have we had an issue with any of the work and he's done at least 10+ jobs for us. Joe is a guy who values the work and makes sure it gets done right and will make sure that everything is done to code and the way you want it done. He also charges a very fair wage given his expertise, and I've found that his prices are more than competitive with larger firms that charge you for un-needed costs. I have been working with wirenuts Joe since I discovered him and have no plans to try other businesses and electricians unless Joe isn't available. He gets my highest recommendation! PS - No idea why it states me as in California. We are in Lyons and Berwyn Illinois, and Joe services either of these areas and more. read more

I had a bathroom GFCI outlet and shower light that had no power. I hired Joe because he worked with my schedule. Joe did troubleshooting and found the problem very quickly (a wire that came loose from a wire nut in a junction box on a different floor!!!). Fixed my issue in just under an hour. Joe was very professional and put receptacles, switches and cover plates back together better than he found them. He takes pride in what he does, is very experienced, professional, efficient, on-time and is very fair on pricing. I absolutely recommend Joe from Wirenuts... I will call him again the next time I have a need for an electrician. read more

Joe is amazing! He's the guy to call for all your electrical needs, Doesn't "up-charge", honest, and very personable. From rewiring, hanging lights, new outlets, he does it all! Thanks Joe! read more

Joe is the best. Thoughtful. Detail oriented. Fair pricing. He came to our home (built in 1969) and added 38 recessed / can lights all over the house. I almost don't want to review him so he doesn't get booked up, but he deserves all the work that comes his way! read more

Absolutely best electrician I've ever hired! I am currently working on a kitchen/office remodel and Joe did a great job with everything. He installed can lights, outlets, switches, and so much more. At first I thought it was a small job, but then it led to a larger project. He was on time every day and was always able to squeeze me into his busy schedule. Worked fast but correctly. He really knows his stuff. I will call him again for all my future electrical needs! :-) A++ in my book. 6 stars if I could. read more

Last month Joe replaced our old fuse panel with a new 30 circuit 100 amp panel, including new service line and placement outside. He responded very quickly to our request for a review of the job site and provided a very reasonable quote for the job. The work was completed as described and on time - he even threw in an extra GFCI socket to boot! The village inspector complimented the work and gave us an immediate approval. Joe is great to work with and I will definitely call him again if/when I need any electrical work done in the future. I highly recommend Joe. read more

My wife and I are in the middle of a whole bunch of improvement projects right now while we remodel our 1923 house. After getting a few different estimates for electrical work, we ended up hiring Joe to re-do our service (updating an old 60amp fuse box from the 40s to 100amp service with a breaker), update our old ungrounded outlets, and install some fans and light fixtures. The price we got was great for the work he was going to do, and for the quality of the work that he did. I have to say that of the multiple contractors we've dealt with for various projects over the past 6 months during our remodeling, so far Joe is the only one who, to put it simply, did what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it, for how much he said it would be. No BS, no excuses, and quick to respond to questions we had. If all the contractors we've been working with for other projects were as good to us as Joe was, I'd have a few less gray hairs coming in. Next time we need electrical work done, we know who we'll be calling. read more

Great experience. Very punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. We had our issues taken care of within an hour. We were very impressed.

Joe is fantastic! Joe did all this at our 80 year old house: - replaced old ceiling fan with new ceiling fan/light fixture - removed old track lighting and replaced with pendant lights - installed chandelier - installed can light and overhead light in kitchen - replaced/repaired switches Joe knows what he is doing and offered suggestions to improve our lighting ideas. He dealt with the quirky wiring in our old house. He was very responsive and worked quickly and cleanly. Joe's prices are fair and reasonable. I highly recommend Joe and will call him again if we have future electrical needs. read more

Joe was great! He was on time and extremely responsive throughout my communication with him. I needed a simple light installed in an awkward place and he was able to quickly install it and did so at a very reasonable price. Other electricians stated that I needed to re-wire everything, but he was able to come in and do the job efficiently and at a great price. I highly recommend! read more

I was a little nervous hiring someone with only one yelp review... what if it was a friend of the company's? But after being told I would have to wait 3 weeks for the electrician with 30 Five Star reviews to come by to give me a quote, I thought I would just give this place a shot. Joseph was professional, prompt, thoughtful about the placement of the repairs I needed, and I thought the price was fair. I will definitely be hiring him for any future needs, and you should too! read more

Called wire nuts last night and he was at our house the next day. In short order he had our problem, diagnosed and fixed. Would recommend him for your electrical needs. read more

Joe is a great guy and we are so lucky that he happens to live a block over from us (we I didn't know the first time I called him). We just recently bought an old house that had sat vacant for almost 2 years, and it came with a host of electrical and plumbing issues. Every time we have called Joe for a minor or major problem he has come out to check on it right away and has never charged us for an estimate. He has even suggested ways to figure out what a problem is that wouldn't require opening up ceilings and walls because he knows we are on a budget, even though to open the ceiling certainly would have resulted in a ;larger fee for himself. I honestly don't know of another tradesman who is so honest and professional. We will continue to use him going forward, including our master bathroom remodel. read more

I had three estimates done, and Wirenuts had the best price. I had eight can lights installed in my ceiling. They showed up on time, got to work right away. They covered the floor with tarps. They did everything they said they would. They measured out the places for the lights, and had me check to see that I was happy with the placement before they went ahead. The lights look perfect. The light switch went right where I wanted it. They even hung a light fixture in my hallway for no extra charge. When they were finished, they swept the floor and threw out the garbage. They got everything installed in the time they said they would. They estimated 4-5 hours for the job, and they were pulling away with everything cleaned up 4 hours later. I would definitely use Wirenuts again! read more
