Later in the day a 2 other stores submitted quotes as well. The following day I received a follow up message from Technics offering no charge for removal and no tax on installation, I couldn't refuse such an offer. I drove over once the roads cleared and had the tint removed and new tint applied. They charged what they quoted, no haggling, nothing but great customer service at a great cost. Also bought the paint protection film for the front half of the car. Film was computer cut, so some edges are not tucked, but looks like just millimeters away (I hope no rick hits the gap!).
