I remember getting tires put on there back in the day. Now it's gone, along with a lot of other stores. But there are still plenty of stores here, enough to keep this like a real Mall. I have worked in the Hayward area for over 25 years, and Jackson Square has a nice location. It's near the freeway ramps, it's down the street from the Courthouse and County Offices, It's near the DMV, and it's located near apartments and residential areas. I was just there yesterday, taking a break before getting on the San Mateo Bridge. West Jackson becomes Route 92, which takes you to the bridge. So lots of traffic passes by here. The anchor store is the Safeway, along with a CVS and 24-hour Fitness. Attention getting brands such as Starbucks, Taco Bell, Fire Wings, Round Table Pizza, Chase Bank, and a Baskin-Robbins are also tenants. Sadly the Sees Candies is closed. That was one of the nearest ones to where I live and probably one of the ones that has been around for the longest. Drakes is a highlight. If you have never been you need to go. One of the best places in this mall that isn't an uninteresting chain. Home Depot. Been to this one tons and tons of times. Love Home Depot. Many of the faucets and some pieces of lumbar are from this store. Had some carpet installed from here using their contractors. Walmart -- keeps me coming back. Sometimes I have been lucky to snag a spot where someone was just about to back out. The spaces are kind of tight and narrow pathways, drive slowly! There are a lot of businesses that have remained here since I was a child and student at CVHS. Lots of new fronts and name changes to others. I haven't taken a stroll around the entire center, but there's a drug store, ice cream parlor, discounted home goods, apparel stores, fitness businesses, specialty goods and boutiques, bakeries, coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, the bowling alley is still here, nail salons, juicers, and more. Since its the holiday time, they had a tree lighting ceremony advertised. I thought that was a nice community event that might bring people and families together, though I questioned where the tree was going to be due to the tight space. I would want this center to continue to have a lot of business - good businesses here. I want to see CV's downtown area become an area that I would like to frequent or go to vs. driving to Danville or Walnut Creek or San Ramon. There is a nice selection of food, services and shopping here. There is a Walgreens for your home and personal needs, including prescriptions. My only complaint about the center is that the parking is less than desirable. It's always a waiting game no matter when I go. I usually ah e to park and walk a little bit to get to my desired location. All in all, this is a nice little shopping area for our town. I'd be even happier if things stayed open later but as long as a double check hours before going, I am usually good to go.

So there's Jack in the Box, Subway, Sonic & Taco Bell/KFC. There are a few sit down restaurants - Taqueria Los Gallos 2 (my favorite, but their Super Burritos are pricey. Love the pico de gallo), Mountain Mike Pizza & Amy's Cafe & Grill (breakfast spot). There's a flower shop that has been around for a while. There's a Banquet Hall, Jewelry store/Watch Repair, Mail/Shipping Center, Smoke Shop, Bakert (Which sells custom cakes, cupcakes and Macarons), Gym, Hair Salon, Optometrist and maybe there's still a Cleaners in the back. There's also a Wells Fargo ATM. Here's What I Think... Chances are you will find something you need in this Plaza.
