Carol,…read moreour adoption counselor, went out of her way to set up times/locations for us to meet certain cats and then let us spend as much time as we needed to with them. The adoption process was very thorough and I appreciated their desire to make sure we were matched with the right cats. She answered all of our questions and gave us as much background info as we needed. I know they have a lot of FIV cats so if you have been wary of adopting one of these, don't be! They are great and ours have only had health issues at the end of their lives (one lived to be 16!!!) like any "normal" cat. They also have a lot of non-FIV kitties. All of their animals are in foster homes and if you're nervous about adopting, you can see about doing "foster-to-adopt." Marley's has animals also at some of the local pet stores. That special kitty or dog could be waiting on YOU right now! :)

The Goathouse is a sanctuary for cats that have no where else to go. Many were dumped on the streets, abandoned, and some were rescued from kill shelters. They roam freely, are extremely well cared for including food, vet care and a warm bed. Potential adopters are thoroughly screened to ensure that the cat is going to a good home and will not end up on the streets or in a kill shelter. Visitors can spend as much time as they want just visiting with the cats or strolling through beautiful gardens complete with free range chickens. It is truly a magical place for the animal lover.

She yells at people trying to surrender animals and treats volunteers like they're stupid. It's not a welcoming or respectful environment at all. The animals often look sick and poorly cared for. Many have skin issues and it doesn't seem like there's any quarantine or proper medical care happening. I know people who adopted cats they were told were healthy and fixed, only to find out they were sick and not spayed or neutered. They had to spend hundreds at the vet. The facility itself is in rough shape. There's moldy wood, sharp metal sticking out, and it doesn't look safe for the animals. They leave wet food out for hours, which is gross and attracts bugs. It's only open to the public two days a week, and they barely respond to messages. I've also heard she's keeping a bunch of cats in her personal home instead of the refuge, which is really concerning. This place honestly feels more like a hoarding situation than a proper animal rescue. I really wouldn't recommend adopting from here or supporting them. The animals deserve so much better.

They have been a huge blessing and major help to me and my daughter when we need to find a safe, clean and caring place for our sweet orange tabby, Bleach. They are 30 mins away; however they have been the best place we've ever experienced and encountered. For more than a year now this has been the only place we take our sweet boy. Thank you Meowinn! Daily updates with pictures from the condo and/or playroom were a welcome way see that our cat was having a good time and warming up to the space. We strongly recommend giving your kitty a day at the spa, and we are honestly considering taking Harley back even between trips. The bath and blowout did wonders for her coat, and it never hurts to have pros clip those nails. Plus, she smelled great for a few days.

The price for pet sitting was reasonable - $20 per day and she said she'd be here approximately 30 minutes each time. She brought in our mail, dumped the litter boxes, and left daily notes on how the cats were doing, who she spend the most time with, any red flags she noticed, etc. I appreciated that she removed the business sticker from her car when visiting homes so that people driving by wouldn't know that we weren't home. Other local pet sitting services that I looked into charged extra (usually $2) per cat over one for each day they checked in. Her website gives a lot of info so check it out. I would definitely use her services again.

At the time, I noted that her web site said, "Critter Sitter of Cary is still alive & well!!!! ~ 2013," which made me wonder if others had had difficulty communicating with her as well. Maybe this is a simple technical issue, but it does make me wonder if she is reliable but only on an inconsistent basis (if that makes sense). Five stars for a great first experience + one star for a nonexistent second experience = three stars.

Her assistant, Emily, and her receptionist, Karmen, are also very knowledgeable and friendly. Since the clinic is for cats only, there are no dog noises etc that often upset kitties, and everything is always as clean as possible when there's cat hair involved. They treat their patients gently and have the magic touch for those that are rambunctious. I'm so glad we found them!

We had enjoyed amazing care back in Tampa from the same vet clinic for almost 18 years. As I searched for a great veterinarian in the area Morrisville Cat Hospital kept showing up everywhere with glowing reviews and happy pet families! When Dr. Beth Hraban came into the room we knew that our choice to drive the extra distance from our town was worth every minute spent in the car! She took great care with Wesley, was very gentle in examining him, and her vet techs were so loving with him as well. I appreciate all that Dr. Beth, Kamya, and the rest of the team did to make us feel comfortable with our new veterinary care and also to make Wesley so at ease in a new place.

Not to mention he is a naughty and sensitive boy for the appointments no matter what they're for. He was traumatized as a kitten so he takes a lot of patience. The DVM was super knowledgeable, informative, thorough, detailed and transparent. I think our nurse was named Kayleigh and we really felt we could trust her with our baby :)
