We were busy getting ready for the day when she booked the zip line and she was unaware of my current weight, and the online booking process did not require participant weights before payment. When we arrived, I was weighed before the tour began and was informed that I exceeded the maximum weight limit and could not participate. It was clear to the acting manager that I was not aware of the weight limit. I completely understand and respect that the weight limit is in place for safety. What disappointed me was how my request was handled afterward. I asked if the company would consider a goodwill refund since I was turned away before the activity even began and that I was not aware of the policy. I was told that my request would be emailed to the owners and that I would receive a response within two days. No one ever contacted me. I followed up after waiting 5 days and at that time was told the owners were away for the week. When I contacted the company again, Acting Manager Brandon told me that the email requesting the owners' review that he said he sent while we were there had never actually been sent. He also informed me that, despite the email never being sent as promised, the company would still be following its policy and would not refund my payment. I understand businesses have policies, and I respected the safety decision without argument. My disappointment is with the lack of follow-through and customer service. I was promised a response that never came, had to repeatedly follow up myself, and ultimately received a denial after being told the owners had never even received the original request. No response from the owners as promised and when I had to call again I was told by Brandon that the owners would be sticking to their policy and I could dispute it with my credit card company if that is what I wanted to do. When I asked for an email so that I could contact the owners I was told that was not possible. If you're considering booking, make absolutely certain every participant meets all requirements before purchasing. The company weighs participants upon arrival, and if someone is over the limit, don't expect a refund--even if the activity never begins and you are visiting from out of state. I respect the need for safety rules. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the way this situation was handled. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of willingness to consider the individual circumstances. Customer service isn't just about enforcing policies--it's also about recognizing when an honest mistake has occurred and exercising reasonable discretion. Despite the circumstances, there appeared to be no meaningful review of the situation and no consideration of a one-time exception. We visit Colorado every couple years and we will make sure to choose another company when looking for an adventure.

The ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient and added such an extra layer of ease and enjoyment to the whole experience. The resort itself has such a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere, making it perfect for families, beginners, or anyone who just wants to enjoy skiing without the pressure of more intense terrain. The slopes are wide, well-groomed, and especially friendly for first-time or casual skiers--you can really take your time and enjoy yourself. The bistro was another highlight once again--the food is excellent and far better than what you might expect from a typical ski resort. It's the perfect place to warm up and recharge. The vibe across the mountain is always a good time. There's great music playing, and you can hear the sounds of wintertime fun all around--laughter, skis carving through snow, and that lively energy that makes a day on the mountain so special. If you're not a regular skier or just want to avoid risking bodily injury on more challenging runs, Granby Ranch is absolutely the place to go. It's fun, approachable, and consistently delivers a great experience. We'll definitely be back again.

We found the park by accident, driving straight up through downtown Winter Park. Situated right in the heart of the shopping district, Hideaway is hidden from whom exactly? Bears in the woods? Posh skiiers in their $500,000 condos? It certainly isn't from the road, set back slightly from the crosswalk and sinking back deep. The play equipment is in great shape and nicely durable, not the sort of ancient metal slide that scalds little thighs and calves or the monkey bar prisons parents dread because we have no way to extricate our children without being accused of violating the Geneva Convention. Of course, we're violating it allowing our little one to be the prisoner of Metallialand. Plentiful benches and perches give adults a spot to watch the entertainment, and impromptu lunch from one of the many cafes nearby are very easily done. I enjoyed this little spot while we were here. It was tidy and open, though I did have to chase down my little one a few times to keep him from playing in traffic. Barring that hazard, it's a great spot the locals clearly get to enjoy.

If your kids are not old enough to go skiing, snowboarding, or tubing, this is a great introduction to the snow. I have brought my kids here when they were toddlers... and now that they are older, they still don't mind coming here. FREE Sledding?! Yup! You can bring your own sled, but if you don't have one, they have free sleds to use, and the most recent visit had tubes too! I'm not sure if they just provide these sleds/tubes for people to use and/or if people choose to leave their sleds kind of like a donation. We actually left our sled there. We figured that we've been blessed with this place with free sleds/tubes and a fun sledding hill, so we might as well pay it forward. Besides, we live in Denver... and there isn't that much snow to go sledding often. Although the signs say a certain age limit...adults and kids of all ages were going down the sledding hill. This really is a fun place. Our most recent trip to Winter Park consisted of coming here 2 days in a row. When you have kids that are old enough to ski/snowboard/tubing, but you don't want to pay the lift fees and/or rentals this place is a great alternative. Besides the sledding hill, there is a playground for the kids to play.... and you can stay warm by the fire pit. Bring your own hot cocoa, tea, or coffee. Also, Pokémon Go players... there are several stops and a gym here :) If you're looking for an inexpensive place to have fun... this is the place.

That was my first impression of the place and will prevent me from ever coming back. One staff member was nice but the other one was constantly disparaging the original hill next door. Plus there is a future development poster inside. We need more mom and pop, not more corporate culture and certainly less development in Colorado. They don't sell actual food, just snacks. They have a rack of equipment. Helmets are mandatory for minors. There is a line to go up now and it's fairly long which means less sliding. The only thing this place has is snowmaking and it's been a dry winter.
