Oscars pub is a very cool little pub, when we were there it was very quiet which was nice, they didn't have ridiculously loud music playing or a bunch of TVs with a bunch of sports playing, it was a very nice location to sit back have a great meal grab a pint and visit. This was one of the best Old Fashioneds I've ever had. Super smooth and delicate flavour; the smoke part was interesting but really not the critical piece for me. The wings were excellent and came with a not very flavourful ranch dressing and a few carrot sticks. Still, I would definitely go back for these wings. Husband had added=cost gravy for his fries and mushrooms for the steak. He remarked that he liked the fried onion strings on top. I had a couple of the fries and they were the coated type that I think should be banned forever, but he was fine with them. The gravy was reasonable without being memorable. We had the sticky toffee dessert to share and the server was kind enough to take a photo for us to remember the special day. The decor overall is pleasant resto pub style with seating arranged to allow for private conversation. The staff all seem focused and professional in their work. Overall, agree with all the positive reviews and I think it might be worthwhile to return and explore more of the menu.
