Came here cause I was starving,,, I love Ruben sandwiches. When I came in and saw it on the menu, I knew I had to have one. Turned out , it was one of the WORST sandwiches I've ever had!! The bread was basically toasted in a toaster, the corned beef was the kind you get at your local grocery store that gets sliced and not shaved,, it came with no sauerkraut or mozzarella cheese,, and it was so dry and tasteless, I seriously couldn't even eat it. These guys have no clue,, how to make a Reuben sandwich. They need to take it off the menu since they don't know how to make one!! Hubby ordered a donair and it was totally stuffed with lettuce to make it look fuller. He said it was ok I have never seen a donair with huge chunks of iceberg lettuce in it. I'm not being picky here, but I could have had a way better meal at a fast food place. I will certainly never be back here.and to be honest, the food we had was down right awful!! Service was nothing great, un friendly, and its was obvious our server didn't enjoy her job. I recommend you skip this place and go to Local or OJs, food there is much better and the service is great!! I will never come back here again!!!! My sandwich was gross and I wouldn't feed this to my dog!!!! Only one word describes my experience,,,!!!! Awful!!! Too bad they ruined the pizza. It's a locals restaurant sports bar. Kind of modern inside. Numerous TVs. They have booths. There is a long bar counter. There is a pool table and a patio. The servers are friendly. The food is generally very good except for the pizza. They changed the cheese to an orange marble instead of the mozzarella and is now more like processed cheese than real cheese. They ruined their signature pizza, not tasty at all. We have been coming here for many years but will not buy the pizza again. There is free parking. A good assortment of beers on tap. read more

I was out in the Park to meet a friend for lunch, and we were both craving pub fare. Caffrey's is an institution in Sherwood Park, but I have only been there a few times, in the distant, pre-pandemic past. Usually I have come out to support local musicians who play weekends, but I have not eaten here for at least 10 years. Those years have been kind.... The place seems to have been renovated, and the menu has improved significantly.. We found ourselves a nice booth near the patio and our lovely and efficient server was there immediately to give us menus, and take drink orders. Our drinks (Guinness for me, Traditional for my pal) landed inside of 2 minutes. We took some time with the menus, as there were a bunch of tempting choices, but in the end, I went with a Cuban Sandwich with Greek Salad on the side. Pal chose the Crispy Chicken Sandwich, with Tossed Salad and Blue Cheese dressing. We had a few minutes to chat and catch up, sipping our frosty cold beverages, and had a chance to look around. Caffrey's appear to do a solid lunch trade, as it was about 12:30, and the place was pretty busy.There were a couple of groups that appeared to be work friends, a few table of "ladies who lunch," and what looked like a cadre of regulars sitting at the bar. In spite of this, our food landed in good time, about 10 minutes. The Cuban Sandwich was as good, or better than I have had anywhere in Edmonton, and we both commented on the freshness of the bread in our sandwiches. The salads, too were excellent. Very fresh ingredients, well presented and well dressed. We took our time, and lingered. Our server was attentive, but not overbearing, and had no problem with us hanging around, as the lunch rush ended well before we left. Positives: Clean, well laid out. Excellent staff coverage. Attractive servers. (Hey, it never hurts.) Excellent food. Large portions. Clean washrooms Negatives: Perhaps a little less Heavy Metal in the music playlist? That's about it. Caffrey's is a run-of-the-mill sports pub located in Sherwood Park. It's solid but nothing outstanding or unique. The food is hit-and-miss, although the 6oz steak & eggs weekend brunch is pretty good. Avoid the poutine. Service can be slow, but is consistent and reliable. The beer selection is average, no real craft beer but they usually have one Granville Island offering on draught, as well as Guinness. I really like the space because it's quite open, the noise level is tolerable, the seating (mainly high table, limited booths) is comfortable and TVs are well visible from wherever you sit. Caffrey's shows the UFC matches and is the best cover-free venue for this in Edmonton area IMO, although you should come early or make a reservation. Prices are fairly typical, but brunch is a very good deal at $9-$11 on average versus $15 at an equivalent chain pub in Edmonton. Good for weekend pub brunch and for sports night out with friends. read more

We've attended a couple of fundraisers here, and for that...5 stars, if you're celiac, there's not a lot for you here that you could eat safely. If you are avoiding gluten by choice, there are options for you. Cider- the only offering is Strongbow, wine... it's limited. Arnold Palmer for the non-alcoholic option, nope, no lemonade either. Full bar though! The fundraisers definitely great for the community, hockey fans, UFC, fights are on the many TVs all over the place. Lighting at night is low, so if it's loud or you lip-read, it's a bit tough. read more

Pubs. I really like pubs and pub foods. This place definitely fits that bill. It is a seat yourself type of place like most pubs are. Enough servers to go around. The majority of the seating is high tables. But there are low tables, and bars, and also booths to have your food and beverages at. I really enjoyed the steak and Guinness pot pie. It came out molten hot and I may have burned my tongue, but... it was too good that I didn't want to keep waiting. Great sized portion that I did not leave hungry! read more

This place is always getting lots of hype on facebook, and I just don't get it :( I've been there twice and really can't imagine going back a 3rd time. The food is really mediocre. Lots of deep fried options, but everything comes out tasting the same. and oddly stale. Service was horrible the last time we went. It was a saturday around 8ish and the place was not busy at all. I honestly almost asked our server if I smelled bad because she kept coming to our table with an awful attitude. We waited for way too long for our bill so I finally went up to the bar to get it and pay. The bartender was really friendly - we should have sat at the bar. While she was processing my payment, our original server came over and took over the process. But didn't say a single thing. read more

We have attended a couple events here. It's a pretty typical sports pub. Pool tables, lots of seating (mostly high tables) and it is a pretty big venue. The parking lot can be tight as it shares it with a lot of other businesses. There isn't a lot of choices for local or micro-brews but I guess what they offer pleases most of their customers. Tons of TV's line the upper ceiling so no matter where you sit you will be able to watch whatever game or sporting event is going on. Food is okay. Pretty typical sports pub fare. I've only eaten there twice I think. Nothing too special about the menu or the quality. It's good pub food, not great or unique. They do have a big menu though so there is lots to choose from. They may not be able to accommodate all diets though. I think they have some vegan/vegetarian dishes. They offered a gluten-friendly pizza crust but they cannot guarantee no cross-contamination will occur. The fryer is shared also so anything is a no go for anyone that is Celiac. read more

I forgot how nice the food was here until tonight's visit :) They seem to have pretty good daily deals throughout the week - tonight Thursday being fish and chip night! (Haven't had that in ages!) Nice little pub/lounge/restaurant, not too crazy busy or noisy (unless it's hockey game night), with a good selection of food and drinks. The server was also good with bringing drinks, food, and checking up on customers. I'll have to come back to try the weekend breakfast deal though! We visited Caffrey's awhile ago however our experience should be shared. I arrived with 15 colleagues, the waitress needed to speak to the owner "Crystal" for approval to move tables together. Crystal would NOT allow us to bring tables together so that we can sit in a group stating "you can sit at separate tables." So we left, thanks Crystal. Your customer relation skills are amazing We will spend our money somewhere else and continue to do so! read more

We came in on a Wednesday and this place was packed. It was spread out so well, guides on which direction to walk, and staff was constantly cleaning. We ended up going with the wing special and a few other appetizer like items. The wings were awesome. The cactus cuts with parmesan are a new favourite of mine. I went there for a night out with my wife and sister and her husband I would have to say the experience was not good at all, the services was bad and food was also bad. It took a long time just to get a waitress to notice us at the table, even after ordering our drinks it took a good 30 mins to actually get our drinks. The food took a while also but that's understandable but the pizza tastes bad one of the pizzas had olives it was the taco pizza but it had the taste like there was scoops full of olive juice from the can on it this also made it very soggy, I would not eat here again. read more

My experience with Caffrey's has not been a pleasurable one. I have found the staff and management extremely rude and biased towards myself and my friend. Every time we go the service gets worse and worse. Over all I love this bar, I think it's a great place to relax with good friends and listen to some great live music. Sadly the last few times I leave upset and frustrated cause the experience is ruined by their extremely rude waitresses. This last weekend will be the last time I ever go to Caffrey's and I will make sure my friends will do the same. read more

Pretty sure that I'm going to be the only Vancouverite that reviews this place, but maybe it'll garner a following? :) I mean, I hadn't even heard of the expression "rig pig" until I started writing this review. This bar is huge, American blue-collar style. Oh wait; I just described Edmonton. (That was not meant to be a dis.) Everyone is friendly, and the bathrooms are what I'd call clean for a "dive" bar. I'd never seen so many men in one bar in my life. Maybe that's why the female bathrooms were empty? But CLEAN. I'd also never seen a guy wearing a t-shirt that made him look like he'd just been attacked by a dragon. I guess he must of been one of those-them $$$$ "rig pigs." We tried the mini-perogies, since, in my town I can only find these at Granville Island and even then, the shop is run by Asians. They were average, pub food and I do not believe that they were homemade, even if the server swore otherwise. I was slightly disappointed since this is almost perogy town. I might be blonde...but. Also shared the mini-burgers. I was disappointed that they were served only with a dab of cheese. I was sorta hoping for more in the Meat capital. Oh well, they were still pretty good, but I can't say that they were any better than what I'd find at a "meh" place in BC. And no veggies on them either, since, they don't need those things here. We were there for the happy hour food, but I was informed by some pretty down-to-earth patrons that the meatballs were "good for throwing at walls", so I took a pass. My wine was fine, but I didn't like that the tax was included in the prices. Still, it didn't seem overpriced, and the service was good. I would probably return here again, because, quite frankly, I don't know where else to go here where I can feel comfortable and not look like Mom's night out around the teenage drinkers present. read more

We are not all rig pigs! This pub only caters to a male clientele. They are constantly playing UFC (ugh!) or hockey games at full volume. My party, and others, consistently request that hockey commentary not be blaring throughout the entire bar. They need to mute the tvs by the booths so that some folks older than 20 can actually have a conversation! We like to watch the hockey games too, but it's so loud and they leave it cranked up constantly so that commercials are blaring too. You can definitely not consider this bar if you'll be trending with anybody you want to chat with t all! You wont be able to hear each other all night. read more

Caffrey's is my local pub. It is a large place, with specials everyday and for every occasion. Why is it my local? For the following reasons: NOT pretentious.. I can go in and have a beer after work with my husband and not worry about dress code! (No he is not a rig pig, just a hard working blue collar boy who doesn't need a change of clothes to have a beer.) Then get cleaned up for a nice night out with the whole gang! On nights out, we can enjoy the hockey game, in fact, we go there for most Oilers games, as they play commentary and we like to hear the colour play by play. Friday nights are great time to catch up with friends and share an assortment of free appies that Caffrey's serves up to their customers. Live music, good food.. an absolutely yummy weekend steak and eggs as well! The best part about Caffrey's is their commitment and pride in local fund raising events! The first night we went there UFC was on, so it was pretty busy, but the service was still decent. I had mini perogies and they were tasty! Big sports bar. Gets pretty packed and rockus at times, but that's pretty much the idea. Surprisingly decent food from a menu with something for everyone. There's good food, the weekend breakfast deals have great prices ranging from $8-$10 each. I had the hangover poutine for $8.00 it was excellent. It's got easy over eggs, bacon bits, green onions, and loads of gravy. My dad and Grandpa had the steak and egg deal for $10 my aunty had the pizza thing. I forgot how much it was. But they were all very delicious. I would go there again for the weekend breakfast deals. Their staff were friendly, listened well to their patrons, the staff were proficient at what they do at their jobs. Although they would need a few more on the weekends so that the one waitress doesn't have to do all of the work. I haven't had their coffee yet, but my grandpa did. I think he liked it. I'm not sure. Give him coffee, and he's happy. That's that way he is. I would rate this restaurant establishment a 10 of 10. Excellent work guys. Keep up the great work. read more

Great place to go for wing night! Parking could be tricky to find some times. It's pretty busy on Wednesday so seating is somewhat tricky to find also. Service is good, and wings come in quick enough, food temp is mild. They claim to serve 20oz pints glass looked like a 16oz(thick bottom) owner could have some mixed up in there to make more money on draft. No proof, can't judge, just a perception. Wings are really good and atmosphere is great! Can't resist going there on Wednesday's for $4.50 10 wings night. Although the site shows 45 cent wings on poster and under it says 35 cent wings. read more

This place is just down the street from where I live. I enjoy the laid back atmosphere and it's not usually crazy busy to point where you feel like you are suffocating. You can find a wide age range in the patrons here but you don't often see a lot of barely legals. They always have a live band when I am here which can be neat - but they play a lot of oldies usually. This is a really great place to catch up with a friend over a drink and I have often run into people I haven't seen in years which can be interesting sometimes. I have had some good times here and I will certainly be back. The food is delicious and always comes out in a timely manner. This place excedes my expecations every time I go. Very different atmosphere from Earl's in Sherwood park where the servers are slutty and stuck up and the GM is a wack job. Food is great. Specials are amazing! It's a pub like atmosphere with live bands, pools, sports playing. Dark inside and can be cold. Definitely needs some TLC and rehab work. Staff is nice or really rude. Just depends on which one you get. read more

Third time here, second time they screwed up my order. First order was a burger that was rock hard and tasteless, overcooked. Fries where under done to the point that of being raw, second visit ordered medium rare stake and got rare stake, and the fries where under cooked again. read more

Caffreys in Sherwood Park definitely earns a ++ vote from me. The food is very decent for 'pub fare', would like to see more authentic style Irish foods but overal can't complain as they are catering to what people want. The drinks and specials are very good and yes, Friday, free appetizers from 6-7..pair that with a pint of something and you can be out again by 7 for $15-$20 including tip. It is clean, well set up, definitely loud (which is a drawback) but overall I enjoy the atmosphere. read more
