She performed surgery on me but did not fix the issue I originally came in for. What is most upsetting is that only after the surgery did I find out that my problem could have been completely resolved in a single visit. Instead, only part of the problem was addressed. If all the possible options and consequences had been explained to me beforehand, I would have made a completely different decision. Now I have to live with a result that I am not happy with and the realization that the opportunity to fully solve the issue was missed. I feel extremely disappointed because I trusted my health to this so-called doctor. After the surgery, I was left with regret and frustration, knowing that I now have to suffer because of an incompetent specialist. My experience with this doctor was extremely negative. I'm not a regular there as I was only referred by my General Physician for an Electromyography…read morenerve study. This step was necessary before I get referred to Ortho surgery for my issue. I know these places get busy, and I was referred here because my first go to had appointments that were even further out. When you're a new patient, like most other places, you have to have a new patient introduction. After that you get your actual appointment if you need some sort of procedure. I was only in the office twice. After my second appointment, I don't need to go back, my results go to my doctor and I can proceed with my care. Outside of how booked they are - as with other offices - and how long it took to get back in, everything went pleasantly. The entire team had great attitudes. Dr Ethelynda Tolentino was great, pleasant and talked me through the entire Nerve Conduction Study. She said some people experience discomfort, or pain... mine was somewhere in the middle. Took about an hour, and she never stopped talking me through, even told a few stories along with what I would expect to feel with each phase. I could tell she has a ton of experience, and catered to my comfort.

I feel this PA should not be working with people because he racially profiled me. I had a procedure done before my doctor retired and when I did my urinalysis apparently I was given some fentanyl at my procedure. My original doctor Tolentino told him that I had the procedure done. However, he didn't believe her or me and continue to drug test me month after month. These are extensive drug test even going as far as to check my liver and kidneys to see what kind of drugs I was using. He attempted to take me off my Norco. Give me medication that was affecting my thyroid, causing me, heart palpitations, making my voice raspy. I had my purse stolen and I was instructed I need to get a police report in order to have my medication refilled. It's not like I needed a whole script. I only needed a few for a couple weeks my medication would've lasted me. He made it appear in my medical record by saying I was high risk because of Loss Norco never mentioned that I had my purse and other affects stolen only wanted to make me look bad to my new pain doctors . My Norco was lost versus stolen. He continued to prescribe Buprenorphin. Although I continue to tell him, this is making me sick kept lowering the dose and I was still having the same adverse reaction.This PA lies to his patients telling me he was instructed by staff to take me off my medication that was working and giving me something that completely affected my thyroid. He doesn't listen to his patients.. I wouldn't recommend a fly to be seen by this person. Now I am suffering with a thyroid storm and my thyroid levels are so high and I can't do anything until I see my doctor next month next month. I have to suffer with the affect of my thyroid function being sabotage by a Doctor Who would not listen. I won't understand why someone would take away what was working for a patient and give them something that's not, and this has cause me more harm. She , (Debra. P.A.) on multiple occasions, tried explaining to us, that she would 'manipulate the "coding" so that the charges they were submitting to BLUE CROSS insurance would reflect some made up reason for a non-existent diagnosis that would get them to cover these treatments, 100%!. We didn't quite understand what Debra was telling us at the time. It never felt quite right with us. It almost felt fraudulent, it felt suspect and even shady and is the primary reason that both my partner and I left INTEGRATED CARE and went elsewhere for continued treatments. They, usually "Debra", on multiple occasions, told us, there's just some sort of "lag time"in payments from BlueCross-CA. Eventually, when the unpaid balance was becoming so large and 100%, unpaid. We both felt very uncomfortable about it and discontinued with treatments at IntegratedCare, regardless of the multiple conversations with them assuring us "not to worry" is just some kind of office error. They assured us both, that "eventually, the entire bill would be covered and to "just toss the invoices into the trash". They even kept incurrageing my partner to keep coming for the weekly treatments. All the while, his balance kept growing bigger and bigger. Apparently, the information and instructions that they were telling us? They were either inaccurate or possibly just a plain lies. They made mentions on telling, possibly fabricated information to the BlueCross, so why would I trust them to be honest with us? Over the past year, we are still today getting monthly statements today more than a year later. The stressful PAST DUE OR GOING INTO COLLECTIONS letters start coming in with a past due balance of $7,292.78 ! After numerous attempts to resolve and numerous promises that there no need to worry. Why couldn't they just be honest with us in the beginning or at anytime? Why would they encourage us to continue with weekly Spravato treatments for nearly 8 mos. Why wouldn't they inform us that the insurance was not paying their "bogusly coded charges"? while no payments were being approved by insurance? They never bothered to mention anything about it to us. What kind of business does that anyway? WHERE ELSE WOULD A PRIVATELY OWNED CLINIC CONTINUE PROVIDING "UNPAID" SERVICES FOR 7 MOS? ZERO payments received !! It ridiculous to imagine any medical, "niche" clinic to allow this kind of practice..The charges were more than my partners total income at that time !Over one year later, the obnoxious and bogus past due notices keep on coming on the first week of every month, showing still, no payments made. I now believe that they were repeatedly lying to us, telling us that ALL SERVICES WOULD BE PAID IN FULL. We eventually found another location in which all the needed treatments and services would be covered 100%.. BUYER BEWARE. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU, JUST TO KEEP YOU COMING for treatments while knowing that the treatments aren't being covered by insurance. I believe they just want to keep the number of patients as elevated as possible. That bottom line $$$ is #1 for them. This went on for around 8 mos.! I am a patient of the sleep medicine clinic, and I cannot recommend them any less (if negative…read morestars were possible, I would assign them that!). Since being seen by Dr Nguyen at the very beginning of June, I have had nothing but hurdles to overcome in terms of trying to seek care for my sleep (or lack thereof) issues. Dr Nguyen recommended a sleep study at our appointment and referred me for such. The first referral was denied because of improper filing in her behalf, and it took over a week of calling daily AND messaging through the portal to have the referrals resubmitted properly. Then, the second round of referral was denied and I was told it was because she didn't complete a peer to peer consultation with my insurance. After calling to speak with the doctor on Monday, I was told by the office that she would be contacting me by Wednesday to discuss what happened with my referral. It is now Wednesday, and guess what! Still no word from the office or the doctor. I have also had multiple messages sent on my behalf from the sleep lab where the study should be taking place, and from the patient relations department. AND, because of the nature of this study, I am required to keep a log for two weeks prior to my study and be off of my medications for those two weeks before I can even do the testing. This, combined with the fact that referrals take up to (and usually max out on) a full two weeks to process, I am looking at a minimum of another month before I get any answers. Truly do not schedule with this clinic or provider if you value your sanity or if you are actually looking for a caring team to help you with your sleep issues.
