I honestly don't understand why Winston's overall rating is only two stars. I see a lot of well-deserved five star reviews, including my own, and it really should stay that way. If it is based on cost, OK, the cost is expensive, and I do shutter every time I pay for it, but... The service is always top-notch and timely. Back in April, when we took Winston TO JFK, we had a driver who absolutely knocked my socks off. She was the kindest and friendliest driver EVER, and her name was Anna. So fast forward to July when we returned, I specifically asked if Anna could pick us up, and guess what, she appeared at JFK when we arrived and drove us to my daughter's house. She remembered us, too !! We LOVE HER !!! We spoke to Anna about possibly doing an all-day tour around NYC, but that never materialized... at least not for that trip in July, but I guarantee you we will definitely keep HER in mind for that in the future. read more

So we booked a pick up at JFK today. Flight in from Amsterdam scheduled at 1:07 pm. They said to call when we get our bags. We call them at 1:24, " we will be at C4 pick up location in 5 minutes, Ralph is your driver" I won't bore you with all the lies from David over the next 2 hours and 10 minutes. Unbelievable that these clowns are still in business. Avoid at all costs! I've used Winston for the last year or so for a few different trips. One for a family death, another for a vacation, and another dropping off myself and my daughter at her uni. I booked my trips online and every time they confirmed beforehand, and came with a clean car. Drivers were pleasant and did their job well. On time, maybe five minutes late on a couple occasions. Overall though I've had no issues and would recommend to others. read more

Not sure how this company continues to stay in business with their extremely inefficient and disorganized business practices; also look at the other reviews, as apparently this is a pattern. Yesterday morning my husband had a pick-up scheduled at our home in Bayport at 9:30am for business flight out of LaGuardia. Someone from Winston called at 8:45am--less than one hour before scheduled pick-up to inform him that "he would have to find another way to the airport as all of their drivers were stuck at other airports and couldn't make it back to pick him up in time." Really??? Totally poor planning and poor customer service as well, since they didn't offer any help or suggestions in obtaining alternative transportation. Luckily he was able to find an Uber driver who showed up within 15 minutes of him placing a request, and he made it to LaGuardia with enough time to get on his flight. We will never use this company again, and my husband said he's canceling the remaining cars that he booked for 2 additional business trips this month. read more

Five minutes from the peer, she side swipes the side mirror of a city bus which caused one of our windows to completely shatter! Glass everywhere, hanging glass. . .and thank goodness no one was sitting in that seat. She repeatedly yelled that she cleared the bus and there is no way that happened. . . well you didn't clear it lady. . . and this could have potentially been a DISASTER!!! Stay with me this gets better. . . well you know. .. worse! She starts cursing and flipping out, 4 of my guests got up and decided to take the train home because she was so spastic, erratic and a completely frightening driver. They thought she was driving under the influence and were terrified to stay for the resolution. At first, she wanted to drive us home with a giant hole in the bus, hanging glass and glass shards all over the seat and bus. She was handed a small plastic bag and was told to go buy tape to try and tape up the window which she was completely incapable of doing. She starts pushing out the glass with a broom stick while me and my kids were still sitting there getting hit with pieces of glass. . . didn't even tell us to move away from the glass! OMG she was batshit crazyyyyyyyy! One of my friends called Winston, and spoke to the nastiest, most uncaring and inconsiderate man named Fred who is is believed to either be the owner or owners son. My friend was looking for a resolution . . . we thought, maybe they will call a local company to come get us, maybe they will send a new van. . . ? My friend complained about our elderly and young and how it had been hours of us stranded and no one was sending help. She told Fred that she would dispute the charges on my credit card if they don't help us. .. . (Keep in mind, she is not the card holder, I was). Fast forward, FRED told us to get off the bus and find our own way home!!!!!! YES!!! That happened. . . he repeatedly told me. . ."You aint gettin a free ride home" "What are you lookin' for a free ride??" NO.... actually, I am looking to get my elderly parents and two baby children home SAFELY!!!!!!!!!! By the way, he also told me that he would refund me half the money WHICH NEVER HAPPENED!!! WAIT. .. STAY WITH ME! IT GETS BETTER. . . WELL YOU KNOW BY NOW. .. IT GETS WORSE! WE WERE HELD AT RANSOM!!!!! He refused to take us home in the very dangerous bus until we paid him 270$ in CASH!! Yes folks, you heard that right. . . . I had already paid both ways on my credit card and he wouldn't move the bus until the driver called him that she had the money. . .we had no cash on us (lesson learned). We had to scramble for money because he didn't believe that we weren't going to dispute the charge!!!! He wasn't giving us anything because my friend made a comment that she would dispute the card if they didn't help us! Which is not far fetched at all. . .. and by the way. . . my friend can't dispute anything because it was MY CREDIT CARD! We were held at ransom. . .we were stranded for over five hours!!! AND I was charged for 14 people on the way home and there were only 10 since they were terrified to continue the trip with us!!!!! Using my cell, I recorded myself handing over the cash to the erratic driver who by the way was assessed for being under the influence by the Police because we were terrified of her behavior and driving. . . PO said she was just crazy and not DUI. Which I barely believed! She called Fred and said "I got the money" OMG it sounded like we were in a movie!!!! Finally from 10am a new tiny van arrived at 4pm by another VERY NASTY MAN who snapped at us . . .we barely fit in the van with bags on our laps we got home. .. . we are terrified and traumatized. . . I over paid for some very shitty service. . . I actually paid twice to get us home. . . and YES FRED, I am sure you're reading this. . . I DISPUTED THE CC! He told me he had no time to deal with disputes on credit cards. . . never ONCE apologized!!!!!!! Never ONCE asked if everyone was ok . . .. that could have ended much worse if someone was sitting in the seat where the window busted out! Winston Transportation - The driver wanted to drive us home on the bus like this! - Airport Shuttles Near Me - Medford, New York

I had to make a last minute booking from my home in Huntington to La Guardia Airport. After reading all the horrible "Super Shuttle" Yelp reviews, I was quite concerned and decided to go for another service. The only other one I could find was "Winston Transportation". With no Yelp reviews to go with, I decided to try it. But I was ready to jump in my car and drive to the airport if the transportation service did not arrive at my house on time. I did the booking online. I entered all of my personal and credit card information ($5 discount for booking online) and even was able to choose my own pick up time. I decided for a 10:30am pick up. My flight was at 1:00pm; which gave me 1.30 hours to play with if I wanted to be at the airport 1 hour before departure. At 9am on my departure day I got a call from the Winston Headquarter offices to confirm pick-up. Impressive. At 10:00am I received a call from the driver himself to tell me he will be here at 10:30am. And so he was! Not a second earlier and not a second later, he was pulling on my driveway at exactly 10:30am. The only drawback: when paying with credit card, the driver has to do all the paperwork by hand. Even though the credit card information was entered in the online booking, it does not seems to matter . My driver, although nice, did not like doing the paperwork. They have to write it all down, call the main office for credit card approval and then you will be on your way. The driver took a good 10 minutes to do all of the paperwork. And when paying with credit card, the tip is automatically added to the bill. The final fare was $49.10 plus the $9.90 (20%) tip for a total of $59.00. I was the only one in the van and off to the airport we went. I was at the airport by 11:30am with more than enough time to spare. The driver was chatty and a careful driver... but he drove some people crazy by driving a little too slow in the left/passing lane. However, the fact that I was able to book online easily, a confirmation call from the main office and driver the day of pick-up, and a reliable service with clean and comfortable vans, makes me recommend this service to anyone. They just have to do something better at pre-approving the credit card charges when booking online to avoid wasting time with customers in the van while the driver does all the paperwork. If you have multiple customers paying with credit card, this will be quite an inconvenience. Oh... and I just looked in my email inbox and received a link to an online survey for the services rendered and to give them feedback and my opinion... nice!!! read more

Screw you Winston travel - I use you all the time, even with your subpar service (late airport pickups, smelly car, dude that stopped for gas on the Grand Central, and even one that had no idea where the Meadowbrook Parkway was...really?). Now I need you for a flight out of LGA at 8 pm and you tell me "we don't have any cars available". To be honest with you, I wasn't going to use you but didn't anticipate getting rear ended coming back from vacation. Go to hell Winston - this was the final straw for me... Oh yea - here's a little advice. Update your antiquated booking system. Every other "taxi to airport" service out there uses in car computers with attached credit card scanners. Winston phoned 2 minutes after scheduled pickup time and cancelled my ride from my home to LaGuardia airport. They said the driver called in sick. Surprisingly they did not know this until AFTER the time I was supposed to be picked up. When I inquired as to what I was supposed to do the response was, "I don't know". Then I came to learn that I had to Work for my refund! It wasn't automatically credited to my account like a legit business might do. Still waiting for a credit posting to my credit card. Bottom line: had to scramble to get last minute ride and RUN to plane, then not credited for service not produced. Not a business, a scam! read more

We have been riding with Winston for a number of years but no longer! Our last experience started with a pickup by our driver at JFK on a Saturday evening. He had a Lincoln Town Car that managed to get our bags in the trunk and us and more of our luggage in the back seat. He then informed us that we had to go pick up another customer... in LaGuardia! After the ride I called Winston in order to express my thoughts that a share ride is usually at the same airport and I thought it lengthened the trip by a lot. The customer service rep told me they allow 2 hours for a pickup/drop-off to my destination. He then noted that we did take longer than that but not too bad. When I stated that this was my 3rd problem with Winston he told me that "even McDonalds makes a mistake sometimes and 3 times in a few years is not bad!". This was customer service! read more

Wort experience ever. Absolutely no regard for their customers. The paperwork that they provided stated that after calling them, "your waiting time could be anywhere from 10 minutes up to 20 minutes". My experience was that after calling, they did indeed get back to me in exactly 20 minutes. However, I then had to wait another 10 minutes for the van to pick me up. I was then informed that they expected another family and we would have to wait for them. 25 minutes later, the driver left the airport to take me home only to be called back to pick up the other family. So ... it took well over an hour from the time I called Winston to the time we actually left the airport. When I complained to the dispatcher that this was not what their literature indicated, he was quite rude and told me that "this is the way it goes". While I was waiting, I played around with my phone and found that Uber would be the same price or less and I wouldn't have to put up with this nonsense. SCAM ARTISTS. DO NOT USE. 1. My family used Winston Transportation for a wedding. First, the driver said to the guests in the shuttle that he was supposed to be paid in cash after the ride and was trying to get the guests in the shuttle to pay in CASH ONLY. The bill was paid in full by credit card 1 month prior to the wedding. He went from person to person before the reception doing this. Nobody paid him but they didn't know what to do and felt uncomfortable and pressured. I feel so embarrassed that my guests were subjected to this. 2. The day after the wedding, the shuttle company claimed that somebody threw up in the limo and that there was a $350 charge that had to be paid in CASH ONLY even though they already had our credit card information. After asking to speak to the driver and saying that we would not pay cash, and would want a written receipt of what happened and the name of the person who threw up in the shuttle, the company said that they got out shuttle confused with another shuttle. It's unfortunate that people would try to take advantage of us on our wedding day. They were the only black cloud of what was a beautiful day. PLEASE AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS read more

Run don't walk from Winston Limo. Took their Limo with 2 other couples to attend a wedding. Limo arrived with no air conditioning . I immediately called office and dispatcher said it was a Saturday and I would have to call back on Monday and speak to Joann. nothing could be done about this that day. When I did call on Monday and spoke to Joann she would investigate the matter. Got a follow up call where she said things break down and it is unforeseen. She said on our return it was cooler and air conditioning wasn't necessary. That was her opinion. I was offered 10percent credit on my $450 payment which was already paid my my credit card. $45 split 3 ways is $15 per couple for riding a black limo on a hot day was not acceptable. I was told this was their final offer. Well today I get a credit of $22.50 which I was told was 10percent of the half of the ride going to the wedding. &22.50 was to be split 3 ways. What a joke. This company wears you down. I have never dealt with a group of people that don't care about their customers and are shifty. Take my advise and check out your service before renting a limo. We have used Winston Transportation at least seven times for both car and van service to the Manhattan and Port Liberty, Bayonne NJ piers. Each time the car or van has arrived early or exactly on time for our trip. They have never let us down!!!! They have been prompt picking us up from the crowded Manhattan Pier and ape Liberty Piers. The car has always been in the city waiting for our pick up call and arrives in 10 minutes. The van was waiting in the parking lot at the Bayonne NJ Pier. Drivers are polite and helpful. We depend on Winston for dependable, efficient service to the piers every time we cruise with our family of seven in a van or private car when it's just my husband and myself. read more

I paid for private car svs to/from airport in advance of my trip. My 1st driver was initially nice, but then proceeded to share his unbearable political views (completely unprompted) which made me feel uncomfortable. Upon landing, after I returned from my trip, I was informed that they were short staffed and we would be forcibly downgraded to a shared ride. We waited over 45 min after landing to be picked up, then proceeded to drive around the airport for an additional 38 min to pick up 4 extra passengers, & be squeezed into a car with strangers. Which made my car ride home Substantially longer, inconvenient and totally uncomfortable. I am an avid traveler and this was the worst car svs experience I have ever had. read more

My wife and I reserved a shared sedan and were scheduled to be picked up at 6:45 PM at JFK. We had our luggage and were ready for pick up at 6:56 PM. Our reservation stated that we would be picked up in 10 to 20 minutes after we had our luggage. The dispatcher told us that he was waiting for another customer to pick up their luggage and that the driver would not be able to pick us up until 7:30 PM. When we called at 7:30, the dispatcher told us that traffic was unusually heavy and his driver was stuck in traffic. I called again fifteen minutes later and was told that the other passenger was still getting his luggage. After a total of five calls over the course of 75 minutes, we were told to wait outside and our driver would be there in a few minutes. We were finally picked up at 8:20 and then picked up another passenger at 8:40 PM who told us his flight was landed at the scheduled time of 8 PM and that he was waiting since then. We then waited outside Terminal 4 for the last passenger who said his flight landed on time at 8:20 PM and he was then picked up a few minutes before 9 PM, and finally two hours after we were ready to be picked up, we left JFK. A two hour delay, particularly after a cross-Atlantic flight, is totally unacceptable. I called Winston a filed a complaint with their customer rep who initially seemed to be sympathetic, but said she would have to look into it and get back to me. A week later, I was told that they would not credit back any portion of my fare for the ride. It is clear that Winston scheduled these pick ups to optimize their own pocket as opposed to scheduling the pickups to serve their customers. I will never use Winston again and I would recommend that when you are considering hiring a car service, you look to another company that meets its commitments and is truly interested in providing customer service. I had ten employees and two of their spouses staying at the Long Island Marriot on long term assignments. When their stay was over I looked for a shuttle service to pick them up there and take them to JFK in time for a 6:00AM flight. I was concerned because I would not be there to ensure that the pickup was made and that we could do an alternate method to get to the airport if necessary. Made one phone call to Winston and was assured that they would be picked up in plenty of time to make their flight. I was a little concerned about the negative reviews on Yelp, but after reviewing multiple other shuttle services I realized that they also had negative reviews. The day after the scheduled pickup I called one of our employees who was shuttled by Winston and was told that the vehicles showed up on time, loaded all the luggage for these folks, and dropped them off in plenty of time to make their flight. Don't hesitate to contact these folks, they did a fantastic job for us!! read more

We ordered a private car to take us from Long Island to JFK and a SHARED shuttle showed up for the price a private car!!! I am now standing at the median pickup area of JFK waiting endlessly to be picked up - estimate 20 minutes even though they "track" your flight. Way to care about your customers! Do yourself a favor and book a car service that actually sends what car they say they are going to send and actually tracks your flight and picks you up - unless you want to share a shuttle van through undesirable areas of Long Island using a shared van that costs the same price as a private car. They also just quoted me $140 when all other services are in the $90s for a private car. Book this service if you are naive and don't know what you are doing. If you are just one person travelling and don't care about waking up hours early to share a van making multiple stops this may be for you ($39+ tip). I had a reservation with Winston Airport Car service to pick me up at LaGuardia airport on 8/14/19. Upon arriving I followed their instructions and called them after claiming my luggage.I was told to go out to pick up area 9 and look for a lady in a wheelchair who would be in the same car driving to Long Island. I was also informed that it would be a 20 minute wait. I found the person waiting at the curb in a wheelchair, introduced myself and we proceeded to wait together. When the wait became 50 minutes, I called Winston again and was told that the car scheduled to pick us up had been in a fender bender. The dispatcher said he would be sending another car but it would be awhile because the car was in Great Neck and it was now "rush hour". I asked him why he hadn't called us to explain the situation. His reply,"I was busy"! Exasperated, we were reviewing our options when the original car showed up. I walked around the car and did Not observe any dents! We were glad it showed up and proceeded to embark on our trip home. The driver apologized and was very polite.(He was the same courteous driver who had picked me up to go to the airport 10 days earlier) As we approached exit 33 on the Long Island Expressway, the driver received a call from dispatch to go back to the airport for another passenger. We protested profusely! I am in my 70's and the lady who had been waiting in the wheelchair is 95! We had both spent a long day travelling, waited an hour at the airport for this car service and were being told that we were going back to the airport in New York rush hour!! When we arrived back at the airport, we picked up an elderly person, who was very upset because he had been waiting an hour. I arrived home 3 hours after getting in this car and 4 hours after standing on the curb waiting for this car service! After a week of calling Winston every day, getting the run around from customer service for some kind of compensation for this inconvenience, I was told that I would receive a 30% credit back on my credit card. Ugh, too bad you can't leave zero stars. DO NOT EVER GIVE WINSTON TRANSPORTATION OF MEDFORD, NY A DIME OF YOUR MONEY. Bar none the worst company I have ever attempted to do business with. I say attempted because the constant aggravation, changing my pickup time, changing from a private van service to a shared bus service, changing the time again (the last 2 occurring 2 days before my pickup), I simply had to cancel and look elsewhere. So here's the story and I'll try to keep it short: 1. I booked a reservation online for 10 people to be picked up and dropped off at the Manhattan cruise ship terminal. Reservation was made about 6 weeks ago. On their website, 10 people is the max and you reserve the whole van. Perfect...that's how many we are. We set the pick up time, pay in advance, receive an email confirmation and we're all set. Ummmm...no! 2. A day or so later, Winston Transportation of Medford NY calls to say they will not honor the price for a 10:00am or 11:00am pickup time and if we want that price, they need to pick us up at 9:00am or we can pay almost double. You can't even board the ship until 1:00pm and the trip is only 1 hour on a Sunday morning. Their website and confirmation says absolutely nothing about this. After tons of arguing, and them basically saying we can go eff ourselves, we give in to the 9:00am pickup and I guess we'll just all sit on our suitcases in Manhattan for a couple of hours until we can board. 3. Two days before pickup I get a message from a guy who doesn't leave his name but, seriously, says we're too busy and can't pick you up with a van at 9:00am. Instead, we're sending a small bus at 8:30am and it's going to make a bunch of stops. No way! 4. I call back asking to speak with a manager, owner, decision maker, some one and am told "sorry...there's no one who can help you, they're not going to change anything for you anyway and you can call back on Monday". (It's now Friday and my cruise leaves Sunday) They basically tell me I can go eff myself again. 5. I now cancel my reservation and book elsewhere. It cost a little more and I'll gladly pay it so that I don't give Winston Transportation of Medford, NY a penny. Now let's see if my credit card refund comes through and they handle that correctly. So...this is how they do business and treat customers. Clearly they don't care. I'm the absolute idiot for booking this in the first place knowing how poor their reviews are. DO NOT USE this company! They are extremely unreliable, unprofessional, and careless. I used them for my wedding which was almost a month ago and I'm STILL fighting with them to get reimbursed. We paid for a 55-passenger shuttle bus (certified check cause that's all they accept, so sketchy) that was supposed to arrive at the hotel by 5pm and make two trips (5 & 5:30) in order for everyone to make it to cocktail hour by 6pm. After 125 people waiting in the lobby for hours, the shuttle didn't arrive til 6:15pm. The driver claims his company sent him to the wrong hotel. By that time, half of my guests just drove themselves cause they didn't feel like waiting anymore. On top of all this, by the time the remaining people who actually waited got on the shuttle, the driver was driving around aimlessly not knowing where he's going. He pulled over on the side of the road and actually asked people "does anyone know how to get their?" So not only are they unreliable, their drivers are nimrods. In addition, the driver actually got on the wrong highway (SSP instead of LIE). So not only did they make my guests an hour late, they put them in DANGER by going on the wrong highway. Commercial drivers and vehicles can only take the LIE because there are no overpasseses. The sales guy who sold me shuttle did not care one bit what happened. All he said was "I did my part, now you have to complain to the customer service department". After 3 weeks, all they tell me when I call is "we're still investigating it and we'll get back to you". Which is BS! All they're doing is telling me that so I eventually stop calling. I BEG you, do NOT use this company. They are the absolute worst!!!!!! read more

Waited at JFK for 30 min for A scheduled pickup and they were a no show..... Called multiple times and was told he's only 10 min away. This was every call I made. I just had one of the worst customer service experiences ever. I'm still fuming mad. I've had bad service from Winston before (I know, I'm an idiot to have used them again) but my elderly mother uses them and she is very loyal so long story short. Upon return to Islip airport, we wait an hour and fifteen minutes for our ride. We are tired and hungry and this guy finally pulls up with no apology.. So of course my Italian mother has to inquire about what took so long. This asshole goes off on my 83 year old mother, who has a heart condition BTW, and starts saying he's gonna take us back to the airport and leave us there! Now, I'm usually a pretty calm, tactful person but this guy was so out of control I actually wanted to get out as I did not feel safe. Then he calls his dispatcher to tell him he "doesn't need this shit" and the dispatcher says just take them home. Well, it was a long tense drive and by the end he had lightened up a little bit telling us he had a bad day and that he doesn't get paid much, blah blah... My classy mom actually gave him a tip. Ii was so enraged by the shocking behavior I didn't trust myself to say anything. Ordinarily I would have had a few words with him about communications but I didn't trust myself to say anything I was so angry. I headed straight in doors and called Winston to complain. Nobody with that much rage, lack of respect or even common decency should be in that business. A simple " hey sorry you were waiting, traffic was terrible" would have diffused the situation. Winston should invest on some employee customer training! Me, my family, friends, will never use them again. Not real happy. I booked a "private car" from Manhattan to LGA and had an early morning departure. I booked the car the night before and received an email confirmation. About 30 minutes before my car was supposed to pick me up - I get a call from the driver asking me if I could come down early because he had another customer to pick up in the same area and he was already there. I asked "so I'm sharing a ride with someone?" He replied "yes - I hope that's ok". What was I supposed to say..? I had a flight to catch and didn't really have any time to make other arrangements. Turns out - both of us paid for a private car to the airport but neither one of us actually got what we paid for. I ended up having to sit in the front seat with the driver because there were actually 2 passengers sharing the car with me, not 1. I feel like I pretty much got ripped off and Winston got paid twice for one "private" private car ride. I emailed Winston telling them about my experience and asked them to call me because I wasn't happy that I didn't get what I actually paid for. No response. I will NEVER use this company again in the future and suggest you steer clear as well. read more

Picked us up and hour later !! Car came at 345am was scheduled for 230 am ! Why book a time when you can't make it !! The driver was a complete asshole he was rude dismissive when asked a question . I will not be using them EVER again !!!! read more

I guess everyone has different experiences when it comes to traveling because I cannot understand why Winston is rated so poorly. Due to the terrible construction at LGA recently, I couldn't bring myself to ask any family or friends to drop me off / pick me up so I figured I would use a car service for the first time in my life. I was picked up in a town car at exactly on time by my very professional and courteous driver, Dave and brought to LGA from Nassau County with plenty of time to spare despite terrible traffic. Pick up from LGA was a little tricky due to the construction so I had to be shuttled from the airport to a designated pick up location. There, I had to wait about a half hour to be picked up (which is why I'm giving four stars, not five) by Mike. I would absolutely use this transport company again. I had to edit my reservation a few days before my flight and customer service was excellent. Other than the slight delay in my pick up, which honestly could have been due to LGA's current construction, I had no issues! Will recommend. read more

After seeing the previous 18 (yes 18) reviews all giving Winston one star, one might question why even consider them? I have had decent experiences before, but this last trip is my LAST with them. Suggest avoid using at all costs. Here is #19 in a row , giving them the lowest rating that Yelp will allow. Short Version: 1) Trip - Leaving JFK at 11:40pm , instead of heading directly to Eastern Nassau (headed Northwest 12 miles) to pick up passengers at LGA airport. This was 12 miles northwest of JFK. A "shared ride" has always been picking up additional passengers at the current airport NOT going the complete opposite way. It took about 30 minutes to get there in traffic. Also, this is not in Winston's policies on their website. The trip which normally would take approximately 30 minutes took almost 2 hours due to this. Winston should have separate shuttles servicing Newark, JFK and LaGuardia airports. I've never ridden in a shuttle that goes completely the opposite way in order to minimize the amount of shuttles they provide. This reservation was made in advance as well. 2) Policy - The other people were not ready (we waited for 20 minutes) for them to arrive despite the driver continually saying to us when asked (just a couple of minutes). This violates Winston's policy of notifying them when your baggage is in hand. 3) Customer Service - Was told to call back two days later on Monday to speak to Joann the manager. Talking to her she informed us that she wasn't the manager, and we would hear back within 72 hours. No one contacted me, which necessitated me calling back yet a third time (4 days later). I finally was able to reach the manager Alex , who said he knew nothing about this, and all of a sudden, we were passed back to Joann. We told her we expected a complete refund, and after several minutes, she "graciously" offered us a 5% reimbursement on our next ride (which anyone can get on their website anyway). Sorry, there won't be any future rides. 4) Driver - He was unfriendly, avoided our questions, and informed us that we would be home by 12:30am (versus the actual 1:20am). Additionally, his GPS (looked to have an add-on) which continually provided annoying joking commentary throughout the trip. 5) Alternatives -  there are MANY cheaper, and BETTER options available. We will be availing ourselves of these moving forward. I suggest you do as well. Winston does not have a monopoly on airport travel throughout Long Island. a) AirTran and LIRR - AirTran is $5 per person,  LIRR under $7 pp about $22.00 for two. b) Cab - yes cheaper than you would think. We took a local cab company back to the airport (non shared ride) for less than Winston's "night" surcharge rate, and it was just my wife and I in the cab with a friendly, personable driver. The cost was $55 vs $68 (with their surcharge). 6) I see that "David" one of the managers there is writing his feedback now as damage control. My suggestions to those who get burned by Winston is to contact your credit card company, Yelp, TripAdvisor, and the Better Business Bureau for research and investigation. I booked a round trip shared van to LGA. On the ride to the airport, a shared town car picked me up-no extra charge-NICE! Upon my return to LGA, I called the phone number as per instructions. They said there was a 10 minute wait. After 15 minutes waiting, in the cold, I called again. They didn't check with the driver, but assured me 'any minute now'. 10 minutes later, I call again. This time I ask, "Can you check the location of my van?" She does, and tells me that the driver had never received the message for pick up, but he is on his way now. So now, 35 minutes of waiting and I have called 3 times, my van is finally on it's way. In my time waiting (for a van that was never coming), I saw several other shuttles and vans from different companies circling who I will call next time. read more

We just waited an hour at the airport for our car to pick us up. After a long day of traveling and delayed flights the last thing you want to do is wait in passenger pick up unsure of how close the car is. We made sure the company had our updated flight times and called as soon as we landed. Not once did the dispatcher or driver say sorry. They just blamed the construction and traffic at the airport, (which has been going on for years). As we departed we could see that there was no traffic backed up anywhere, let alone the 45 minutes the driver said he waited at just one light. If we didn't pay ahead we would have canceled after 20 minutes of waiting. read more

Just waited over an hour at JFK for a reserved van booked a week in advance. After waiting ten minutes on hold just to alert the dispatcher that we received our luggage, I was told they would be 20 to 30 minutes to get to the airport even though a driver was suppose to be waiting for us. After 30 minutes and another 10 minutes on hold, I was told the car was still 30 minutes away. The agent was complacent and not apologetic. After an hour we decided to jump into yellow cabs instead of waiting any longer. I write this from the taxi now. Don't use this company! read more

I have used Winston many times with mixed results but after last night, never again. I was kept waiting at LaGuardia for over 90 minutes and then when the car picked me up the driver was rude and said I was giving him a tough time when he told me to sit in the front with him because we had to pick up people in Huntington which is an hour away.. I didn't understand why we would be picking people up in Huntington on our way East to drop me off another half an hour east of Huntington, but I quickly found out because that person as well as another additional stop in Holbrook were both going to Islip airport and I got to go along for the ride on all of that .... so after landing at LaGuardia at 1:45 I was still in the Winston limo at Islip airport at 5 a.m. and at that point I decided to get out and get myself an Uber for the rest of my way home which is what I did even though my Winston ride was paid for.... Uber picked me up in two minutes at MacArthur Airport and I was home directly from there. Winston is ridiculous.... Shared service is one thing.... but I don't think it's reasonable that it should take four and a half hours to get home from the airport when it was reserved weeks in advance. And since they kept me waiting 90 minutes there at LaGuardia the least they could have done is drop me off first before starting to meet their trips to Islip and picking up other people. Oh yeah and they also lie when you called them because I was told even though my flight was delayed that they would track my flight and know when I landed and I should just call once I landed but that they would be also tracking it and that turned out to be nonsense because when I called the guy told me it's going to be at least an hour because the car is heading into the airport now and I said I thought they would tracking my flight? they would have known the flight was delayed.... but it did land exactly when it was predicted to land under the delayed schedule....and I had called Winston with that information earlier so they knew about the delay...they just lie...never again. Should have never even given them this many chances because this is not the first time that similar things happened, although this was by far the worst. I wish I could give them NO stars... they don't deserve even one. read more

Easy to book online, competitive prices, and I loved the shared sedan option! My driver was personable and professional and on time, even a little early. Next time I'm on Long Island I will definitely use Winston again. read more

Booked them for round trip transport to and from NYC Cruise Pier. Trip to NYC on 6/28 was wonderful. Our driver was friendly and had all 11 of us laughing and having a good time. He knew exactly where he was going and the fastest and easiest way of getting there. When we returned on 7/6 the nightmare begins. We waited two hours on the pier for a driver. We had 5 children traveling with us who had to breath in exhaust fumes of trucks and buses as we waited and waited. Dispatch told us his driver was stuck in traffic at Holland Tunnel. What the hell was he doing at the Holland Tunnel coming from Long Island. He spoke hardly any English so communicating with him was nearly impossible. Our original pickup time was 10:30 am. We finally got picked up at 12:30 pm. Do yourself a favor and don't use this company. read more

Wait time at the airport curb was 45 minutes. Driver offers to shake your hand, then immediately uses Hand Sanitizer jell to make sure he doesn't get sick from you ! that is insulting (I suggest he uses the jell before hand shake). From hotel to airport - they want you to sit in the car for 2 hours to go to pick other passengers up, I canceled the service and they don't give me back the money (form my hotel to the airport by was only 35 minutes drive by taxi) read more
