Tip: Many buses stop in front of 360 Main and Winnipeg Square.
Winnipeg Square is an underground mall at Portage and Main. I worked at 360 Main, which was formerly the Trizec Building. This mall is just under this building. Winnipeg Square was also built for the Trizec corporation.
I didn't shop at any of the stores during my almost two-year stint at 360 Main. I did get lunch at a Chinese stall at the food court now and again. I don't know if it's still there. It was owned by a Chinese family. The woman behind the counter would speak to me in Cantonese. The food was yummy and combos were cheap.
A number of buses stop in front of 360 Main and Winnipeg Square. I never parked underground, as I didn't own a car while I worked here. It is likely heated during the wintertime because it's Winnipeg.
TD Bank is still there. I never had the need to use it. When you work in this part of downtown Winnipeg, you learn where all the banks are!
This mall is open during regular business hours. It's a ghost town after 5:30 pm.
I'd like to return to figure out whether the Chinese restaurant is still there. There's also a Booster Juice and Shoppers Drug Mart that I'd like to check out.
This mall isn't the best if you're a tourist. There isn't a whole lot to see. However, if you work downtown, and need to stretch, it's nice to browse and grab a bite to eat while you're here.
