There was lots of parking. I backed into a spot and walked in. What stands out is a decent number of Kipling bags. I didn't need any, but they had smaller ones at this store. Finding them made me happy. The housewares section was also enjoyable to browse. I liked everything from silicone ice cube trays, to glass drinkware. The shoe department was great. The selection of women's size 11 shoes made me happy. I liked the sneakers. In the men's section, it had Airwalk sneakers. I hadn't seen those in ages! Before I left, I had to check out the phone accessories section. I like getting PopSockets at reasonable prices. This store had some styles that I had never seen before. I also saw my first MagSafe charger at any Winners store. It was exciting to me spotting a technology unicorn. I enjoyed browsing around. I'd return again when I'm in the area. They sell brands like Hugo Boss, Alberto Guardiani, Poggianti, Signum, Van Gils, Pal Zileri and Mabrun. You can't miss this store on Broadway as it's a dark gray cube with no windows other than the display area. The interior is a darker space so it feels like you've stepped into another world when you enter the store. Service ranges from neutral, friendly to cold with a bit of a "I don't really care" type of attitude. You will probably get warmer service from Harry Rosen since it's situated in a mall and the sales people there are trained in that sense. Here, it's a boutique and it's almost like you have to earn friendly service. LOL. It really depends on the sales person you encounter. We had the best service from the owner but it also helps when my honey has been a client for years. There is parking behind the store though it's a bit chaotic as you're double parked behind staff.

My father inlaw introduced me to Hanford Drewitt 15 years ago and since that introduction, I have made it my first stop from the airport. I like that this chain has graphic t-shirts and larger shoe sizes. Torrid accommodates curvy women, which I appreciate. I don't exactly fit the demographic perfectly, but I can manage to wear clothing on the smaller side of the sizing scale. It's cool. I do like options. This store was clean and bright. There were deals everywhere. The best deals were in the back left of the store. I managed to find a pair of cargo pants that were regularly $109, but were reduced to $30. They looked like they would fit me. I wasn't sure because I had never bought pants here. I needed to find a fitting room. I headed to the checkout area and asked a female staffer if I could try them on. She was friendly, said yes, and led me to a fitting room by unlocking the door. These pants fit perfectly. The length and inseam were great. I could breathe in them. Yay! I looked around and liked a cardigan. It was lightweight, but Winnipeg was going through a heatwave outside that I couldn't look at any clothing for Fall. I found the graphic t-shirts. I liked the Care Bears one. Nothing truly screamed at me. It probably means that I'm content with my wardrobe. I found my sneakers that I had bought almost a year ago. They are so comfortable. It was one of my favourite purchases from this chain. I headed to the checkout area. It took a while for the nice woman to return. She was helping another person unlock a fitting room. I wasn't in a rush. It allowed me to look at the earring sets. I love them. They are comfortable and the designs are cute. I recommend signing up for Torrid rewards. I got an additional $10 off my purchase when I was here. My pair of cargo pants were $20 after all the discounts. Yay! The best way for the staffer to find your rewards account is to provide your phone number. Easy peasy! I paid with a credit card. I tapped and I was done. She put my item in a paper bag with handles. I thanked her and happily left with my purchase. I'm pleased with my new cargo pants and the price that I paid for them. I loved shopping here. I hope to return the next time I'm at the outlet. I saw this store at St. Vital Mall. I don't ever remember dropping by any SoftMoc store in Winnipeg, so i had to drop by to check it out. As convenient as it is to buy shoes online, going into a store and physically looking at shoes is a completely different experience. Take Doc Martens sandals, for instance. I owned a pair a couple of decades ago. They were leather and heavy. I looked at those at the store. On the contrary, the sandals were lightweight and had vegan options. Seeing and holding one of the sandals persuaded me to get a pair once I returned home. This store had a good selection of Adidas sneakers. SoftMoc also carries its own line of shoes. I dig their sandals. They are comfortable and many have a backstrap that I like. Without a backstrap, wearing sandals are like projectiles on my feet. You've been warn if I am walking towards you and I lose a slide. This store has the best selection of Crocs. I saw everything from shimmery ones to platforms ones. I saw a display of Grogu Jibbitz that allow you to decorate your Crocs. There were samples. I was trying to find some to buy when a friendly male staffer asked if I needed any help. Perfect timing! I asked if he had any Star Wars Jibbitz. He said that I could find them in the display on the right. He went one step further and found the exact set in his stock behind the counter. Nice! Jibbitz aren't cheap, as five of these Star Wars ones was $25. However, it i worth getting two Grogu Jibbitz in the set. He asked for my phone number associated with my SoftMocs rewards account. I rattled it off and he found me in the system. The rewards system is great. I had enough points last year to get a pair of Uggs sandals for free when I redeemed my points. I paid for my Jibbitz with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. He asked if I needed a bag. I was fine with the one that I had with me and placed the Jibbitz in it. I thanked him and left with my purchase. My Crocs do look cute with Grogu on them. It's fun decorating Crocs. I had a great experience at this store. These folks keep me in clothes. Their jeans wear longer than Levis and are a not nearly the price of the red tab variety. I love the t-shirts and pick up several every time I go back. They have drifted towards some fashion wear in the last couple years but the standards can still be found. I like this store since it is easy to get to and it is impressive in size. If you arrive in early enough and impress her with your "I am Canadian but live in Scotland" spiel, you can sometimes turn her into your own personal shopper. Get her to find you the right size trousers and such. It make things easier than searching through the massive stacks of jeans yourself.
