Meat prices almost comparable to Sam's which means the quality here is much better and worth it. So many samples. I had a fresh warm blueberry donut and it was So soft and moist. Not too sweet which can bd dangerous bc I could eat a dozen in one sitting.

Detwiler's Farm Market is hands down one of my favorite places to shop for anything fresh. When I…read moresay farm fresh, I mean straight-from-the-farm fresh -- and they truly support local farmers. The produce section is always piled high with the most beautiful displays of fruits and vegetables. They make fresh salsa in-house, have an entire area of fresh fruit (even a station where you can core your own pineapple!), and offer some of the freshest seafood and meats around. The deli is just as impressive, with sandwiches, soups, and salads -- and you can have a sandwich made exactly how you like it. There's even a cheese bar where they sample specialty cheeses. Around special occasions like Valentine's Day, you'll find them hand-dipping chocolate-covered strawberries and offering samples. Their bakery is incredible. Everything is made from scratch -- the cinnamon rolls are absolutely amazing, and we love the cookies and cakes. They bake their own bread and even make their own donuts. From the produce to the meat department to the bakery, everything at Detwiler's is truly top-notch. They also have an ice cream counter featuring homemade Yoder's ice cream. You can grab a sundae, milkshake, or even an açai bowl while you're there. Yes, it's always busy -- but somehow the checkout lines move quickly every single time. They are incredibly efficient, and the staff is some of the friendliest and most helpful you'll find anywhere. The store is beautifully decorated, with each department thoughtfully themed. They play uplifting Christian music throughout the store, and no matter how crowded it gets, it's always a pleasant experience. People are genuinely smiling -- even the shoppers seem happy to be there. If you're visiting from out of town, Detwiler's is a must-stop. And if you're local, it deserves a permanent spot on your weekly shopping list. Decor, quality, service -- it's a 10 out of 10 every time.

I have never had a problem with customer service in the main store .and have never had a problem returning items. The main problem is that certain departments that use the Walmart logo are not owned by Walmart. They are subcontractors. We waited FIFTY minutes when there was hardly anybody there and this is at 8 o'clock at night. We've talked to a manager about this before, and apparently they still don't get it. I requested that my 2 L soda pop be put in bags and they weren't put in bags. Nobody knew anything about my order despite my checking and TALKING TO PEOPLE OUTSIDE AND CALLING THREE TIMES . Everybody acted like they didn't know what was going on. They made me late for an appointment that I had to cancel. It is absolutely the worst Walmart we've ever been to and it falls on the manager. Pickup and front desk don't respect peoples time - they don't answer their phones nor pick up like they should and they put you in a never never land of a continually ringing phone with no one answering after you ask for a manager. Or a stupid recording that they're busy. Really? At nine and 10 o'clock at night? We don't think so. What a joke this place is. We hate this stupid store! They need to fire their manager and their curbside pickup manager!

From farms and farmers markets, especially around the holidays when possible. But for now, I'm liking Aldi for it's specialty items that aren't the run of the mill grocery store stuffs . And as I stroll the aisles of goods, I think about the true meaning of Thanksgiving which is but a week away. Apparently there are people coming to see, so I'm the cook again, which is fine by me, but I live with the animals and they're allergic to everything that moves and I'm not sure what they're thinking but I agreed anyway. Maybe with my spiked cider they'll loosen up enough for the annual touch football game - "Red 13! Green 84 hut - hut - hike!! Go long, buttonhook around the donkey stalls"! So extra sweet potatoes ($1.79 for a nice net full, approximately four pounds, butternut squash is well priced as well. I think I'll skin and stuff them this year, or shall I've def world famous soup? Irish Butter and heavy cream to cook with - cheeses and charcuterie to set out early for hors d'oeuvres with some canned beluga caviar I have always handy. I'm quite ambitious and can throw down big time in la cuchina, but living in an RV can limit ones culinary prowess. So I'll return for pumpkin pie, and cranberry sauce, I do hope this is the year that I open the can on time. I'm just not sure if its sold here, or if they have a turkey even - as I left without my list. Tom Turkey (or Tina) has a two day spices citrus brine ice bath to be plunged down into the awaiting five gallon pail. Or perhaps I'll just stick an apple up it's butt and serve it raw, I mean, what's a little salmonella between friends? This should be interesting.

While in the meat department I decided due to my medication and my small appetite the the pre-made pop in the over dinners looked quite good. Unfortunately, my family and I were met by the most sexist man I've ever come to face with inside of a publix store. While grabbing our food the man working the meat counter decided to come up to my famil and I and ask repeatedly why I didn't cook for my family since it was my day off. The first time he said it I tried to brush it off and say yes, it's my day off, I've worked all week and it's time for a nice break. He then repeated himself more.than once asking why I hadn't cook. I can understand culture differences, but this was pure sexist behavior. Regardless of my life or my situation shaming me in front of my family and mutiple other customers is absolutely inexcusable behavior. I expect much more from a publix. I used to drive out of my way to go to this publix because it was my favorite to shop at. Unfortunately, after this interaction I will not be back. I will not recommend to my friends or family to go to this publix anymore either. I understand it was only one employee, but if that is the standard of employee my new expectations are super low.
