Liquor Outlet is off 301 on 66th Ave. in Ellenton on the road to the Ellenton Outlet Mall. It is a family owned, local business and has been operating for 30 years. It has a good variety of beer, wine, liquor, mixers, cigars and related items. They have very interesting items that I would love to try. Prices seem to be what you expect from a small liquor store-it's not a large discount beverage store. But it's close, has good hours and chances are you will find what you are looking for here. A great little spot with some rare finds. Recently added Papi van Winkle 10 and 20 year to my collection which are some of the hardest bourbons to get a hold of. The staff is always friendly and helpful but firm on prices which are generally pretty close to the big box store around here. read more

Stopped by only to see if they had a couple bourbons we weren't able to acquire in Orlando. Though they didn't have what we were looking for, we ended up speaking with a very knowledgable gentleman who worked there, that went out of his way to introduce us to new items and discuss items we already love. Overpriced and under serviced. Went in for bourbon and they actually have a decent selection but the bullshit arbitrary prices they say "someone" will pay are insane. I'd love to support a small business but this place is just stupid. Save your money and time, take it to a place offers decent prices and is happy to have customers, especially in this economy. The the store- I get supply and demand but taking a $100 bottle and trying to sell for $1500 is pathetic and should be regulated. Your the idiots that fuck up a free market or everyone. Bought a bottle of Casamigo tequila. It normally has a very distinct vanilla flavor to it. I love it because it is a tequila I can actually sip on and enjoy. This doesn't taste anything like Casamigos. It tastes like they are filling the bottles with the cheap stuff. It is a corked bottle that can easily be opened and resealed. read more

5 stars for the huge selection and prices Every time I'm at the outlet mall or Woodys I end up making a quick stop at this store. The selection of liquor is quite impressive as are the prices. Their wines span several isles and again, very decent prices. The cigar selection is two wall cases with several big names (i.e. Fuente, Cohiba, etc...) The owner is very friendly and willing to find you that hard to find mescal mixed amongst the tequilas. Private parking area (might change with the Winghouse going in next door). Tip: Ask the owner/cashier if you can't find your favorite beverage. They have a lot of bottles that are stored in other places due to shelf space read more

Wow! What a selection! They have a broad variety of everything you could possibly want. My husband was interested in the Bourbons I was interested in the gins they even have a violet liqueur. I even found aviation gin and other ingredients to make classic cocktails. The cigar selection is also excellent and the owner loves helping you find what you need. So glad we found this place! Nice wine selection too - not extravagant (as noted in the wine rep's review) but very adequate for home use and entertaining. read more

This is an interesting liquor store. I love the treasure hunt. They get all kinds of different stuff. They tend to buy any remainder stash a vendor might have. Most prices are in line with what you would see other places but then there are bargains to be found. They also get some limited production Bourbon and other liquors. I'm not going to wine and cry about not being greeted at the door every time. I have found them to be quite responsive when I ask questions about specials or special bottles. read more

Ok pricing and selections but....after asking questions on a wine they were lost for an answer (I'm a retired wine rep) I picked another. I also needed a KJ chars bought it out if the cold box as it was going to be opened when I got home. The KJ had a darker color which immediately told me an old vintage...yup 2016....that's an old rip off way to get rid of out dated wines...sell it in the cold box! I go here quite a bit but I have yet to feel welcomed as I walk in the door. I understand that they might be bored sometimes but when it's time for me to give you my hard earned money could you at least quit talking on the phone for 3 minutes? It's closer to home than any other option but I'm still hoping someday they will greet me at the door and then if it's not too much to ask I wouldn't mind hearing a thank you after I make a purchase. Either way I will be back in a day or 2 and see if my luck changes, but I'm not holding my breath. read more

Having been in this location many times,I stopped by to get a bunch of bourbon as I usually do. However, it seems the owners and some marketing people were having a meeting in the aisle in front of the bourbon. I tried many times to get in front of them to look at the different selections but they would not move. I ended up leaving without getting anything. It's unbelievable that they would impede customers from viewing the selection and making a purchase. I will not be back again read more
