You can taste it very strongly on their cut watermelon and grapes. So we stopped buying produce at Publix because they cannot tell you what this stuff is. (The produce manager said their fruit is cut, packaged and sprayed at a separate main warehouse, but she could tell not us what spray they use.) Sprouts has a definitive policy that it does NOT adulterate of food with unknown preservatives, so we shop there for produce now. At least Whole Foods admits they use Apeel on some produce, but Target and Publix say they cannot prevent it because some of their vendors use it. Basically, buying produce is a crapshoot now.

So we were on a quest to find dried garbanzo beans, which we did. Then some fresh herbs and some dry ones. The place was so busy! I see they have a new Amazon return station when you walk towards the food seating area. They also deliver food orders in the back of the store. I was glad to see all the people in there bc there was definitely more products and specials. We got lobster macaroni and cheese to try. It had some big pieces of lobster but the topping was a little to salty for me. There was a Bogo on natural unprocessed bacon and we got those too. It's a great place to shop for organic products. The soup bar and hot and cold bar were very busy. It's makes me happy to see a business succeed! Much better than the last tie we were there!

We used to buy them when we lived in Coral Springs and they would sell out quickly. Also had a shrimp sushi for $5 too! A lovely apple pie for $12.99 and a ciabatta bread. The pie was fresh, juicy and had a great crust. I went home and had a little piece of bread with farmer cheese, tomato and smoked salmon! Perfect for my lower carb diet. Lots of people shopping for flowers and treats for the day. It reminds me of a mini Whole Foods or a Fresh Thyme store and similar to Trader Joe's. I would say their pricing and ambiance is also similar to those stores. We did see some items we might go back for, but for today, we found some Easter treats for the young kids who live next door to us. We will go back, probably not for major shopping, but for a specialty item or two.

Today the store was moderately busy and I could shop the aisles with ease. I love being greeted by beautiful plants and flowers when I walk in. The store is always spotless and the produce and shelves make it easy to see the products. I'm always watching my weight so I like to buy a lot of the fresh vegetables and produce. Then on to the uncured bacon without nitrates. Today there was Empire turkey breasts, which will be perfect for preparing for the high holidays. Hamburgers, frozen chicken thighs are great for a quick dinner. We bought some chicken salad which we had for our lunch. Onto the dog treats! We usually empty the shelves because Freckles loves them. Dave always finds great wines for himself and to share when we visit friends. I love the prepared foods but are wary of the high salt content. Last of all the beautiful cards for $1.00! Can't beat that price. I only wish there was a bench or somewhere to sit if I had to. I understand that stores don't want people loitering or hanging out. It's really difficult for elderly or disabled people to shop without being able to take a respite. Otherwise I don't have any complaints. The cashiers and employees are extra friendly and helpful. While I don't drink, I was amazed at their huge selection of wine, from all different regions of the world. While she was finishing wrapping our subs, a very ignorant and rude black male was on his phone flapping his lips and started aggressively attacking her, she stayed calm and focused on what she was working on. He continued to become more disrespectful and louder to the point I had to love my child and I away because he was scaring people. He berated her, called her names, spoke about her family and more and she quietly went to get her manager and kept her composure the entire time. I'm here to say thank you to the woman sakeema at the deli and just for showing how people should behave in public places. I hope that rude man was removed from the store and banned. No one deserves to be treated that way . Our subs were amazing by the way!!!! And this was during rush hour!!

If it does, though she was kind of rushing me which I didn't love. Also, if you're wanting to use the coupon, you have to have your own copy and cut it out/rip it out. And it's also one per order. I also ordered the Keylime pie. I like the filling. It had a very much coconut flavor probably because they use more coconut milk, but their crust on it was not very good. The cream score was actually pretty good. It was a hot day so it melted pretty quickly, but I liked the orange thing that it had and balanced with the vanilla.
