I have never had eyelash extensions before. But after a bad drug interaction caused some alopecia,…read moremy previously full eyelashes were left looking sparse. I wanted to look for someone local and Natalia's business, "Girls'n Lashes" was in Etobicoke, which was perfect for me. I checked her website and liked the fact that "Girls'n Lashes" was not a salon, but ONLY specialized in lashes! Natalia has a passion for ONLY eyelash extensions. I purchased a Groupon for a full set plus a fill in. I called her and she quickly called me back and we easily made the appointment for my first set of full lashes. I was quite eager to get in, as most women would understand, losing your hair can be distressing, and I was booked in, no problem, and my fill in was booked 2 weeks later. Natalia was not only beautiful, (not that that should matter), but kind, courteous, polite, friendly and professional. She was very sympathetic and understanding about my hair loss and was certain that she could help me. "Girls'n Lashes" was clean and cute and just perfect. Natalia kindly explained what the experience would be like and feel like, being a first timer. She provided such a relaxing environment with quiet and calming music. She was so very gentle with the application of the lashes. She has such a gentle touch! I even think I may have fallen asleep at one point I was that relaxed! (You lay down with your eyes closed during the entire application process). The full set came with I think 40 or 50 lashes per eye and she said I could buy extra if I wanted them. But when I got up to look in the mirror, I had a BEAUTIFUL set of gorgeous, full, natural looking lashes!!! I did not need to purchase any more!! She even put the extra ones on the end that are supposed to be called "wing-tips" that make you look extra flirty when you bat your eyelashes!! They are stunning!!! And with THESE LASHES you don't even NEED to wear mascara!!! Please understand ladies who are all reading this and possible customers of "Girls'n Lashes" and of Natalia, they are not the oversized, "spider" looking, false looking lashes! They look like your own! She chooses the right size and shape for you and won't go pass a certain length that is unnatural looking for you! This wonderful girl has standards for her business!! Natalia and "Girls'n Lashes" now has a forever client in me!! Because I think that even when I am over my alopecia and my own natural full lashes have grown back, I think I may have already grown addicted to this even fuller lash look!! :) Thank you Natalia, for helping to make me feel beautiful again!!!

My nails look great and she was very attentive to detail. I got shellac manicure with chrome on top - looks awesome. They have a lot of shellac choices too. Only thing I would say to improve on (which is why I took one star off) is to let the customer know if prices differ for different products. When I called I was quoted $30 for a shellac manicure but when charged it was quite a bit higher -- most likely due to the chrome being more expensive, which I totally understand, but would have liked better if she had told me right away when I chose the colour. Either way, good job and I would recommend this place. It's clean, friendly and does not rush through their work - very attentive and a good experience over all. Just be up front with any change in costs so clients don't feel blindsided. They also offer waxing and massage and acupuncture although I cannot review those of yet. If I do, I will re-review. Thank you Ann, I will be back

I have come less frequently in the last few years since moving to the States, but nevertheless this was one of my go to places once upon a time. I am SUPER bummed that they have changed their make-up application prices. It used to be about $45 for make up application -- but you could put that towards buying their products, so you don't just "lose" that money. No brainer! I came in this past Saturday and the new pricing is $75 for a full face and you can't use that towards products. The only thing I did get with the pricing was a set of false lashes. They do have a "targeted" make-up application that is $45 but you choose the service. For example: eyes, lips, contouring, etc. Which is also an insane price in my opinion. Sephora does the same type of targeted service for FREE. Honestly, they do a great job at application and I do really like their products including some of their skin care line (particularly Scientific Organics). I also enjoyed their quick and dirty 3 minute facial prior to applying the make up, it makes it feel a little more spa like--- but the spa feel ends there. Almost every location, including this one, ends up being small and cramped, especially with how busy they can become. I am not sure why they have never invested in a more spacious location, they could certainly use it. In my experience, always book an appointment if you can. It is usually very tough to do a walk-in. However, it was easy to schedule an appointment with only 1-2 days notice. A Beauty Club membership pretty much pays for itself if you come in for services and/or buy products. Plus, they have a whole bunch of perks like free "targeted" makeup on your birthday, 50% off a facial, 10% off products, etc. Final word: The new pricing is going to make me think twice about coming back (especially for make up). Sephora still does make-up for $50 and you can put all that towards products (ANYTHING they sell in the store, so it doesn't even have to be make-up-- it can be perfume, hair, bath products, etc). Personally, I prefer Sephora but it is much more difficult to book and you have to do so much further in advance (weeks- months). Caryl Baker is still a solid choice, and it is still on my list for other services--- but I can't justify the new price for make up and would only do that if I was in a pinch.

First of all, she's incredibly talented- she wants you to look fabulous but she will not sacrifice the health of your natural lash. I wanted very dramatic lashes- long and full but Mariia explained to me that my natural lashes were too weak and she was concerned that they would suffer damage. She promised that we could eventually build up to that level of drama if my lashes strengthened (which they eventually did!). Mariia keeps up to date with her training and certifications so she offers unique styles, such as Kim K and also...coloured lashes! I tried blue and purple and they both looked amazing. I thought coloured lashes sounded crazy (especially since I work in a very conservative office) but with her magical skills, Mariia blended in purple lashes in such a classy, subtle way. I constantly receive compliments on my lashes and it's so flattering because alot of people will even question if they are natural, since they don't look overly fake. I must admit, on special occasions, I ask for the Mega Volume and I definitely can't pass those off as my own but as mentioned further up, working up to having healthy lashes strong enough to be at this level was my goal! The whole lash application process can be very tedious, as you're lying down for over 1.5 hours but Mariia is such a sweet and fun person, you will enjoy the conversation as much as the end result. The bed is really comfortable on its own but there is also a memory foam pillow to rest your head on, as well as a very plush, warm blanket, if you get cold. The studio in Bloor West is fairly new so all the signage isn't up yet but it's a really nice, clean space and the decor is modern and chic with girlie touches.
