I came here to grab some dinner. I wanted to head back to my hotel room and have it, along with a couple of alcoholic beverages that I had picked up. It wasn't all that busy around 5:30 pm. There was plenty of parking. I decided to park and order inside. There is a drive-thru if you are in a rush or don't want to walk in. I saw my favourite poster of the orange cream shake. It is my favourite shake at Arby's! I had to wait a bit before someone came to the counter. There was a couple who had ordered something like ten roast beef sandwiches. When the woman came over, I ordered two medium roast beef sandwiches, a large orange cream shake without whipped cream, and a salted caramel and chocolate chip cookie. It didn't take long for me to get my order. I was impressed after seeing the two folks carry a ton of food out the door. She was nice. I thanked her and left. I got back to my hotel room to chow down. The orange cream shake was consistent with my past experiences. It was thick, orangy, and yummy. I was happy. The roast beef sandwiches were a disappointment. Arby's offers gyros these days. I got the gyros-cut roast beef in my sandwiches. Not cool. They were tough and thicker than what you'd expect. It had a ton of tough bits that I had to toss aside. No wonder I got my sandwiches so quickly. The place was either too lazy to shave the roast beef the way that it should be, or it ran out and decided to sub in the gyros beef without telling me. Ugh! My salted caramel and chocolate chip cookie made me happy again. I don't normally love caramel, but it works well when it's salted. The chocolate chips balance the cookie out nicely. This cookie is so good! I'm not sure if I'd come back to give the roast beef sandwich a go again. If I do have a hankering for a cookie or my favourite orange cream shake, I'm here. (355)

Don't get me wrong, very nice and friendly but htey always seem to be looking over my shoulder to see who else is coming in. Anyway, on to the food. Gravy is GREAT! Taters have way, way, way too much slat but are still good. Chicken is fried chicken. Not quite Popeyes, but still good if you are craving grease and well basically, Fried Chicken.

Okay, let's update this place, shipwreck that it is…read more.. I was in that mall one day with hubby and sure enough he wanted chicken. Might as well try this one again as there was no other chicken nearby. Went in, checked out the menu board. I can't remember the exact prices but it was very expensive for a similar-to-KFC kind of meal. Settled for one piece and if I remember rightly it was about $10 with tax. Way too much. For heaven's sake, a medium order of fries is about $7, correct me if I am wrong and I will gladly change this. Hubby lost his appetite, since he was paying. They are still smelly spraying cleaning solutions on the tables right in front of your food so we had to cover it, but that hardly matters after what I am going to tell you. But, as we were waiting, things went from bad to really bad. A girl came bouncing out of the cooking area, wearing rubber gloves, to greet what I think was her boyfriend. She touched him, her surroundings, and her own hair with those gloves. Back to the kitchen she went and returned shortly after, carrying a box of food for the boyfriend and still wearing the rubber gloves. I am quite sure she didn't change those gloves in the kitchen after the first little visit. The dirty gloves should have been removed before she left the kitchen, and certainly not worn back into the kitchen once they were out and about being contaminated. They both sat down, and she kept the gloves on, and touched everything she could. Then she returned to the kitchen to make more food, and again I am quite sure she didn't change the gloves. UGH UGH UGH. This may be a new winner for the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. REMOVE YOUR DIRTY GLOVES WHEN YOU LEAVE THE KITCHEN. DON'T TOUCH YOUR HAIR OR YOUR BOYFRIEND'S HAIR OR ANY PART OF ANYBODY'S BODY WHILE WEARING KITCHEN GLOVES. WASH YOUR HANDS AND PUT NEW GLOVES ON WHEN YOU RETURN TO THE KITCHEN. GOT IT? We left, never to return again.

We been enjoying Firehouse Subs for several years now and we finally had a chance to stop in at the…read moreBelleville location looking forward to another delicious sub. Sadly my wife and I were both very disappointed. The location was not busy on a Saturday afternoon at 1:12pm - this should have been a warning sign for us but we were hungry and wanted some takeout. I ordered the Meatball sub, and my wife ordered the Steak and Cheese. These turned out to be two of the most poorly topped subs we've ever seen. We've had Firehouse subs at other locations and were happy with the food, but not here where the toppings are minuscule and hardly any cheese. For a $35 check for two subs, one would expect a decent amount of toppings but they didn't look remotely close to the advertising pics. My Meatball sub had very little marinara sauce where it was actually dry at the ends, and almost no cheese. It looks like they ripped a single slice of cheese into sections and spread it out thinly over the whole sub. The seasonings sprinkled on top looks like spillage. See pic. My wife's Steak and Cheese was just as poorly dressed with one pepper piece ripped in half per section, and two onions. Mayo and mustard barely there, and tiny amount of cheese. She had them do it "garlic bread" style and she couldn't taste the garlic at all. Again not like the advertising and previous experiences. See the last two pics of what they're supposed to look like with generous toppings. I've noticed a trend with foreign staff running franchises - they're cheap with the toppings to cut costs at the expense of quality and customer satisfaction. This location definitely does not do the Firehouse Subs chain any favours. The head office will get getting a copy of this review to advise them of the poor quality at this location.

She stared at me with doleful eyes, refused to smile, asked questions in the most succinct way possible which often made the question hard to interpret and responded with mono-syllabic answers. I was tempted to tell her: If you hate your job, find something else. However, good manners (on my side) won out and I managed to suppress my irritation with her very poor customer service skills. 2) The restaurant was cramped and dirty. Of interest, there was a survey-computer right by the cash. I ordered, took one step back to wait and there was the survey booth. The people serving you can see what you enter. Seems like a bit of psychological bullying to put that where it was. I filled it out and told them service sucks. But that was a bit of a ****-you moment for me with that store. (Do they all place their surveys in that type of spot? Bad A&W if they do!). Of interest, the restaurant was packed to the brim - we had a hard time finding a table. So I guess no one else minds the crappy service. Oh well. Would I recommend: No. I think there are other places in Belleville one can go for similar food at a similar price with better results. Would I return: This was my elderly mother's choice. If she wants to go there again, I will - but I'll try to provide alternatives first. :-)

Although there was a tempting Mama burger special on, I went for the veggie burger that comes served on a whole wheat bun. I know, I know, not what you go to A&W for... but it was still good. The bar for a good fast food veggie burger is from Harvey's. My friend had the mama burger and it was very good - exactly what you should go to A&W for!! Other options include: Whistle dog, chicken nuggets and chicken burger. Their fries were also just okay - maybe just not salty enough? At least one star goes towards the giant mug of root beer that comes served with no ice! Maybe even 2.
