I would like to start by saying that I have been going to the Plantation Wingstop location on Sunrise Blvd. for many years. I've always liked their wings/fries/ranch over the competitors. I've never had a problem with the staff, I usually dine in when I go and the 14 minute wing orders they boasted about were always great. =) I was in the restaurant business for 15 years at several chain restaurants, so I am aware of what's going on, but understand situations can occur during a shift as well. Over the past 8 or so months I have been disappointed each time I have eaten in the restaurant. Twice- both of their bathrooms were out of service and once I found myself walking to Ross to use their restrooms after I had already placed my order to dine in. Another visit the bathroom floor flooded into the hallway and dining area and after I alerted the staff, they weren't very concerned about fixing it until a while after I reported the problem. A month ago I stood behind 4 customers to order and when I got to the counter, the girl said it'll be over an hour after I told her we were dining in...so we left. Tonight's visit confirmed the fact that some of the staff and the restaurant need to address some problems. It was a 5:40pm dine in experience and for the 30 minute wait for food to dine in, I was surprised when it took 15 minutes for my order. I was excited and thought the restaurant was on it's way back to the way I remember. Well, not long after we got our food I noticed that the front staff member had her cellphone ear piece with power cord on her ear during most transactions and was in conversation with the staff the rest of the time. It started to become a busy Friday night with a lot of to go and Door Dash orders. She hardly made eye contact with anyone and tossed bags on the counter to have people check their order. But I will tell you that she didn't forget to tell anyone about the link at the bottom of the receipt to get free fries with a good review. In addition to her, the entire dining room floor became so slippery during our visit that I found myself telling each customer walking to the soda machine, dining room and bathroom to be very careful as they walked by me where I was sitting at the first table eating. I suggested maybe turning the air down since the restaurant felt warm and humid causing the floor problem. To which I got a response "I can't do that". At least they did put out a small pop up caution sign. Against my better judgement I continue to return because my son and I love their food and it's always been a fun time out for us. Ugh! I ordered online and pick up at the location in Tamarac. I picked up my order and the young lady told me I can do the survey and I may get free fries at the same time she tore off the receipt and gave me my order, didn't think much about it because I wasn't going to do the survey. When I got home and ready to eat the fries were burnt and had a bitter taste. I tried to do the survey but it asked for receipt information that I didn't have because the lady took the receipt. You know what, for the amount you pay the wings here are totally A-Okay. During football season we make this Wingstop our go-to for the Thursday night game every other week. Our fav are the boneless with the traditional hot sauce and their house fries. Talking about the fries, I could literally eat an entire bucket of them! In my opinion, the fries run miles around their chicken! The other awesome thing here are their sauces. Both their blue cheese and the ranch are made with a healthy dose of garlic! Yum! The only thing I've gotten from here I was disappointed by was the corn. I love corn, so I wanted so bad to have their "fried" corn be my new favorite thing- but it's not. It's oily and just kind of whack. I won't try corn that's fried without breading again. Want to end this review emphasizing that part of the appeal of Wingstop for us is that it's so affordable! I picked my order up & 7:02 pm and when I got home ( I like live 5 mins away) my food was COLD. I'm mad af but right now I really don't feel like driving back to get my money back ! I am not a huge fan of wings, but I do come here often to get their boneless wings. My girlfriend does enjoy the wings so we always end up getting half and half. They have a big variety of flavors and I always try something new. I cant really say I've actually dined at this place even though they have seating available. It is more of a order and go location. They make their wings to order so wait times are a little longer so if you are not patient, I advise to go for online ordering. This location is usually busy. Level of service is not that great, it is your typical fast food attitude at the counter. Last time I went, the lady taking our order asked what we would like and walked away for about 3 minutes then came back and asked if we were ready. As we are placing an order she is carrying a full conversation with a co worker, and entering our order on the computer at the same time. I am not going to lie, she was skilled because she was facing her co worker behind her while listening to our order and plugging everything in correctly. Kudos for that skill! My Boneless wings tasted good. I love the Garlic Parmesan. Its very garlicky and cheesy and greasy and delicious. Once we got home it was a little luke warm but that is my fault not theirs for doing take out. This is probably my favorite flavor they carry. I also tried the Louisiana Rub. It was a new flavor that I had not tried before, it was almost like a butter and herbs mix. It was good as well, but different. In the past I've had their Hickory Smoked BBQ and Teriyaki. Maybe not the best flavors but they were worth the try. Next time I go I would like to try the Hawaiian and Mango Habanero. I think the flavor varieties is what keeps bringing me back to this place, I always want to try something different. As far as sides go, the french fries are really good. I have never been disappointed. They are well seasoned and remind me of Five Guys fries. I had the fresh baked rolls, nothing special either. The bread was kind of hard, but had a hint of honey. Tonight's experience at Wing Stop left me ticked off. My 10 piece wing order (5 garlic Parmesan, 5 mild) was short one wing. The wing flavors are separated in the take out container, so it's really apparent when there are only 4 wings on one side. I know it seems petty to be unhappy over 1 chicken wing, but this has happened to me at this location before. For a $9.42 bill, 9 wings is not a good deal, especially when the order doesn't even come with a side of blue cheese dressing. The wings themselves were ok. Not particularly flavorful good or bad. I liked the garlic Parmesan better than the mild buffalo wings. Definitely not jumbo sized as indicated on the menu. One positive: I ordered online. The website was easy to use. Within 2 minutes of submitting my order, I got a phone call from the restaurant confirming my order. I liked that. I wish the software would have prompted whether I also wanted a side of blue cheese. Though for almost $2, I might have passed anyway. With tonight's shorting (again), so-so taste, and so many places in the area to buy wings, I don't think I'll be back to Wingstop. Wing stop has officially lost a customer. I attempted to order wings from this location after a bad experience at the one on N University Dr. We placed the online order at 7:29, they quoted 7:53 as a pickup time. My family went to pick up the order at 8:15, it still wasn't ready. 30 minutes later, still not ready. Finally paid for our order, received a receipt and food and left... got home and realized the food and receipt were wrong, despite paying more for our original order. We called the store back to explain and we were told that they don't and would not deliver the correct order to us, and the person who gave us the food had already left, so they couldn't refund our money. Naturally, we got a upset and requested a refund again, they then put us on hold for over 15 minutes before I finally hung up. We called back a few minutes later, and the girl who answered didn't say hello, or thanks for calling Wing stop, but simply said said, "we're working on your refund, give us a few minutes" and put us back on hold. We called the corporate customer service number to report the issue, they confirmed they'd work on our refund. I'm genuinely upset because we loved Wing Stop, but the service and timeliness are just completely unacceptable now when there are so many other options for food. This wingstop was conveniently located right near the pho restaurant that my family wanted so my brother and I decided to stop for some wings! I'm used to the bigger one in California but I was still excited for this one. It's clean and has nice decor and lots of seating. The employee patiently waited for us to decide on what to order. It was cheap. $13 for like 15 wing combo. The wait time was more than thirty minutes on a slow day which didn't make me too happy. I purchased 10 classic wings at Wingstop and could not eat the Hawaiian wings because it tasted like Bleach, and some other household cleaning spray. When I went it I seen an employee cleaning, but I did not know my found would taste like Windex Cleaning Spray. No one should be allowed to clean around open food. I had someone sample it, and I was told they also tasted the Bleach Cleaning Spray on the Classic Wings. I am very disappointed and disgusted. I won't be returning to this wingstop location. This is one of our go-to wing places. It's definitely not the best Wingstop location, but it's the most convenient to where we live...so we go here. 95% of the time we are satisfied with our experience at Wingstop. I think this is because we know what to expect. Wingstop is just another fast food place. It's not fancy and there's nothing gourmet about the wings. Wingstop just satisfies a craving. Most of the time, we order the lemon pepper, traditional wings. My boyfriend and I both agree that these are the best. They're definitely greasy and sometimes you get a wing that got a little too much lemon pepper on it, but that's okay. I also like their regular Buffalo-style mild and hot. I am not a fan of some of the other "wet" flavors just because I find that they put too much of them and then you can't really taste the chicken. I LOVE Wingstop fries. I love how they're cooked (or some people might say undercooked) because they're very soft. Whatever seasoning they put on them has a hint of sweetness to them that makes them addictive. My boyfriend agrees. We have to evenly divide our order so that no one unfairly eats more than their share. (Also, as someone else mentioned, I do find it weird that french fries are not covered or put in some kind of container when ordered to-go. They just put the little fry try at the top of the bag.) I've also had their boneless wings and I'm not a big fan. They usually have more breading than chicken. Blah! Regarding service - I've always ordered take-out (this location has very limited seating and isn't really a place where you go to hang out) and in my experiences, the service is pretty typical of fast food service. Last night was my first time ordering from wing stop. I simply ordered 10 wings hot garlic. I've ordered this at countless wing places. It's wings, sauce and chopped garlic. That's what is always is...except here. They apparently toss the wings in the sauce and then add copious amounts of garlic powder. Maybe you should tell people this when they order or maybe you should taste how god awful it is when you dump garlic powder all over the wings. I ate two wings before i realized and my tongue felt like i just took a tea spoon of garlic powder. I opened what was supposed to be celery with bleu cheese...and there were 3 tiny celery pieces with at least 10 carrot sticks. Ordered 3 piece tenders meal with lemon pepper. Tender and fries were under seasoned, both fry's and tenders barely had fry seasoning and lemon pepper seasoning. Tenders was served in styrofoam with paper under. By time I got on the third tender I couldn't eat it because it had too much oil and it was make me feel a bit sick since it was too oily. Its a shame because i love theyre food but the place always disfunctional and the crew is always salty for no reason. And no matter what location i go to I always ask for extra seasoning for my wings and they NEVER charge but all of a sudden here they wanna charge me 2.13 but a bad attitude for free. Theyre already a more expensive wingstop than all other locations so theyre doing the most. Hence why i never come to this location and definitely will be my last. Ive worked in the food industry for a while and i promise you this job aint even half as hard as a real restaurant server so i know they can do better. My wife suggested the wing joint since it was close to her office. We both ordered the lunch special which included 5 wings w/wo bones, fried and a drink. We had one of each with well done fries. It took about 20 minutes to get our food. The fries were really hot, her boneless wings (w/Parmesan and Garlic sauce) didn't win any awards as they looked more like little scraps of chicken. I thing McNuggets from McDonalds would have been better. As for mine, they were small also and were extremely hot for a mild wing. Both our fries had too much salt on them. I said something to the guy behind the counter who ignored me. I love wings but this was a try disappointment. It's not worth going back. As for napkins they had a role of paper towels on the counter so you had to just grab some. Wet naps which you normally get with wings didn't exist. If you want to set you mouth on fire, you should try the Atomic but if you are like me and love spice but still want to actual taste your food, you will enjoy the Cajun. What makes the Cajun so great is that it is full of seasoning and spicy and doesn't just offer the typical buffalo hot sauce flavor, which they do have along with several other flavors. They also have boneless wings too. BBQ boneless please! I have been to a couple of other locations, but Plantation is by far one of the best. The owner is usually there and has always been very friendly and accommodating. Everyone is really nice and that is a blessing in a world that no longer cares about good customer service! What goes best with wings? Uh, beer. Good wings with a good variety of flavors to choose from. They offer wings, boneless wings, and chicken tenders. I prefer the traditional wings. Original Hot and BBQ are my favorite. I've also had the Parmesan and Louisiana rub. My boyfriend loves the Parmesan flavored boneless wings. The fries are good as well. They already have some seasoning on them, which is good. The cold demeanor and rude personalities experienced at this location is unmatched. Two women with braids at the front have the worst attitudes. Simple food related questions are a task for them to respond; met with eye rolls and subtle deep breaths. I have visited this location a few times and from this day forward I will be writing a review about these two women every time I encounter the continued rudeness. I will not be back to this establishment, which is a shame because I used to come here all the time for lunch and dinner. Here is what happened today. Around 6:30, I ordered a delivery on the 30 piece combo on wings. Being about 11 days from giving birth - I was craving the Hawaiian wings and got them delivery so I could relax at home. Makes sense... order arrived pretty quickly which made me happy, then I opened the box to find that the 10 I ordered and was craving were missing. Right away, I called them and let them know about the missing wings. They proceeded to tell me where the wings were supposed to be and since I already had the box open I verified that they were not in there. At that point, no apologies - simply a statement that I could come pick up the missing wings. Honestly, at this point - why am I paying for delivery if I'm picking up my food anyways. I get to the store and still no apologies; no offer of a beverage, or even of taking off the delivery fee, nothing. Terrible service.
