Wraps & Wings - Home Delivery - Chicken & wings platter

We were looking for a home delivery this evening and "Wraps & Wings" had dropped their menu in our…read moremailbox a couple of days ago. While at first look, you may think that this is a fast food place, there were more than enough healthier options for me to choose from (non fried, no carb - protein + veggies) The menu is very simple and straight forward : beef/chicken/veg burgers. Chicken/veg wrap, wings, barbecued chicken & a selection of side dishes. The variations come in the multitude of sauces on offer. For myself I ordered the Chicken & wings platter which came with half a barbecued chicken - I chose the peri-peri sauce for this and it was wonderful. I chose the highest heat and could have easily eaten spicier, but it at least felt like I was eating spicy food. The wings I asked for in the buffalo sauce and that was good too, but I preferred the peri-peri sauce. The platter also came with 2 sides of fries and 2 choice of sauce -the chipotle mayo is very good. When they said the platter was good for 2, I did not take it at face value and ordered a seperate meal for the husband, but the portions are very large and half of the half chicken is sitting in the refrigerator for tomorrow. For the husband, I ordered the boneless chicken wings with the mango & lime marinade and a salad. The salad was lovely, the marinade was good, but I personally would have preferred a heavier helping of the marinade in the chicken. I could just get hints of flavour, unlike in my own chicken dishes which were "goooily" coated. The chicken wrap (Caribbean Jerk marinade) was a little drier than my husband liked, so he just added, some of the mayo into the wrap. I did not taste this one, because I was already quite stuffed. the honey roast vegetables were perfect. nibble sized pieces, well seasoned and beautifully roasted. The sweet potato fries were good, but I've had much better or maybe they just got a bit soggy because of the delivery. This outlet only has delivery option (no eat-ins) and delivery is free for orders over 15Pounds. all the food above + tip came up to 28 Pounds. Not a bad price for a healthy meal delivered home.

As a vegetarian, Wraps & Wings didn't seem like a good choice for me, but after being drawn in for a shake and ending up with a halloumi wrap and rosemary chips I'm completely addicted! Big portions of really well prepared good ingredients. This is place is cheerful with friendly staff and great food.

All other kitchens were closed except for McDonalds, Burger King, and KFC whichturned out to be the most exotic of my 3 choices! First of all they saved lives that night. Mine, my travel compaions, and everyone around because we were hangry! Who would think a major city would shut kitchen before midnight? No diners! No late night spots! What universe is this? I do applaud the work life balance for the employees! That is everything! For my U.S. comrades... make dinner reservations. Back to KFC. We order, at 2 minutes to close. Hot wings. Really good! Fries. Fabulous freshly fried! Cole slaw. Less sweet than America but really tasty and fresh. Chicken tenders and 2 piece original recipe FANTASTIC! I haven't had KFC that good since I was a teenager. It was as good as it was when it was Kentucky Fried Chicken! Great customer service! No they fon't have American biscuits. They keep pointing at coookies! Lol! As far as atmosphere they were scrubbing fown the restaurant as we walked in. I will take clean anyday!

KFC original tastes the same here (as with KFC sold in Toronto) They don't have the crispy, spicy chicken version. Fries here taste a bit different. Gravy here is also different but still good. Sides here include beans, corn, mash on top of the usual. Hot wings here are different; crispy batter and not spicy at all. Popcorn chicken tastes the same.

About 2 months ago, i went to a restaurant where I encountered a very painful and distressful…read moreexperience where I felt bullied. They took my phone to "repair" but until now, countless tries of contact them and i still haven't gotten my phone back. This is what happened. I was at Cookhouse Joe, SOHO brunch, on Monday (28 July) for dinner with my friend. It all went well until a waitress dropped a knife on my mobile phone and leg. The screen on my mobile phone cracked as a result the phone is not usable anymore, but fortunately for me, my leg was alright. The waitress immediately apologised and said that she will pay for the damages. I'm using a mobile phone that do not have an office in London and therefore no service centre. But after that, the manager told us that the restaurant will be responsible, however they could not offer any form of compensation as it was too late at night (9.05pm) because they could not get in touch with the boss. We then told the manager that the waitress offered to pay and there was no need to contact the boss. When we spoke to the waitress again, she said she will only pay for repairs but as I was using a Xiaomi phone, I told her that they didn't have a service centre in London and I need a phone as I didn't want to be uncontactable. She then asked us to give her a minute. We told them that I need a phone immediately or at least the next day as I am here alone and my family contacts me everyday to make sure I'm okay. So we suggested that they got me a spare phone or a new phone. Next thing we knew the manager came to us and shouted that "I already told you to come back tomorrow, and now you are making my waitress cry" and started chasing us out of the restaurant. While chasing us out, he sure didn't forget about the bill and demanded that we pay for the dinner before we leave. We called in the police but they mentioned that as this is a civil dispute, they could not get involved. We also contacted the embassy for advice but they referred us to the police, so we are back at square one. We went back the next day to get things settled during the time stated by the manager, as he said the boss will be around during that time. When we were there, all he told us was "the boss doesn't sit around" waiting for us to come. He also started calling us names like stupid and said that we were trying to blackmail / threaten them. I have never felt more threatened by a person! Not only was my phone damaged and unusable, my friend and I were bullied and insulted. I have a recording of him calling my friends and I stupid, at least twice because my friends posted a bad review online. He said that, "We can't be going into a restaurant and just expect cash like that." He also chased me out and said that I was trespassing his restaurant and that I wasn't to step foot in the restaurant ever again. He took my mobile phone and mentioned that because we didn't pay for our bill of 30GBP, they can only try to repair my 150GBP phone and won't guarantee until we paid. The whole experience has been seriously distressing and traumatising.

My male colleagues at work kept going on about this place that the wraps are "really really good"…read moreand also "Serena, you would love it!". Somehow I failed to believe them because they had recommended some places before and it fell short of my great expectation. Nevertheless, I did decide to try it. That week, I was craving Arabic cuisine but didn't want to go that extra mile. So, I took their advise. It is a cozy restaurant in a one way road, off Oxford street almost opposite "The Plaza". It is quite dim inside, with tables at the back and benches at the entrance. I ordered the lamb wrap and it was amazing. It was the closest I could get to authentic Lebanese food, the garlic sauce hit the spot. Memories of home kept flooding my head. Every table is treated to a bottle of something which at first, I thought was a bottle of wine! To my disappointment, it was just water... Good, keep customers hydrated! Pros: -Good for small groups -Quirky -Great food and lots of it! -Close to the high street -'Green man' pub just opposite Cons: -Slightly pricier meals on the menu but it's London. -There's not enough space in my belly to finish the food. -Can get very busy and packed. Advise: -Please do visit and try it yourself!

Bf got chicken sandwich and he said it was really good, soft bun that holds well, nice and crispy well seasoned chicken patty with moist meat. He's also got chicken wings here before and said they were really good. I got 6 chicken tenders not realizing how big the pieces were going to be. The chicken was well seasoned, super moist even if white meat, nice meat to batter ratio, super Big Crunch. 4 different dipping sauces you can buy for 50p (mayo or ketchup free next to utensils) Bathrooms are fairly clean. Cucumber salad reminds me of a Korean cucumber salad of a bean paste but this one was sesame and I believe peanuts. Little salty little tang and nice fresh chunks of cold cucumbers. Very crunchy. Staff is nice and patient even though I couldn't really make up my mind. Would definitely recommend or go back if I'm ever in the area again

We decided to go with the "spicy" chicken tender meal, which consisted of some "Cajun" spices being thrown on top of some already cooked regular tenders. It made the chicken so gritty, I was very disappointed. It was also $16 for that meal??? I understand it's a nicer area but for that quality that was beyond excessive. Definitely will not be coming back to this place next time I'm in London. Side note: I was here in February 2020 but have found myself very overdue to leave a review.
