Service - Ordered carry out. Nowhere to park, no hostess up front. Went to the bar and the idea of…read morea non-DoorDash employee pickup seemed like a foreign concept, thus resulting in an additional 5-10 minutes of waiting. Food - I live 1/2 a mile from this restaurant. Food was still warm, but all soggy. Everything from the sampler was cooked in what tasted like month old oil. Nothing "golden," all dark, dark brown. Chicken tacos were so dry the sauce couldn't even help it go down. Tortilla chips were a combination of dark/overcooked and somehow soft and bendy. The pulled pork Mac had no cheese. At least none that could be tasted or visually seen, resulting in even more dry, flavorless food. Only decent food were the wings and Walleye. Walleye was soft and a bit soggy, but at least it had some flavor. Just had to get past the random bite of fish bone. The wings were the only thing actually crispy and the BBQ sauce was ok. This was our first and likely last experience with The Hangar. Maybe it's more about the environment than the food???

My husband had their Michigan Honey Amber. We had their signature appetizers, Bavarian pretzels and Beer cheese. The pretzels were bite-sized and paired with a significantly larger portion of beer cheese. The beer cheese is house-made dip and is creamy and infused with one of their craft brews. My husband had the blackened shrimp tacos. The tacos are packed with well-seasoned blackened shrimp and a refreshing slaw. The tacos were served on a blend of corn and flour tortillas, which were sturdy enough to hold up perfectly against the generous, packed fillings. Latitude 42 also operates its own micro-distillery, producing a signature Bourbon Whiskey, Gins and Rums, which are sold on site. The menu is extensive and offers a variety of handhelds, pizza and seafood options. There were many families while we were there. Overall, food and drinks were very good.

The patio isn't anything super special but it was nice to be able to enjoy the nice weather outside. I used to visit HopCat pretty frequently but it had been several years since I'd been to this location. Inside is pretty roomy so it seems good for larger groups. When we visited, the menu included a $15 "pick 'em" menu, where you can choose a main, side, and a drink (fountain pop included; select beer is an extra $2 or a draft cocktail is an extra $3). This is a pretty great deal and several of our group went this route. I ordered the chicken dunkers that come with fries - the tenders were hot and fresh and decently sized. I love a good chicken tender so I had no complaints. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food - I tried some of Nate's reuben, which was very good (but could have used a bit more cheese in my opinion). I have to call out the service - our server was great even though she was the only one working the patio with a few large groups. The food runners were awesome also, apologizing for the waits as they had some line cooks call in that day.
