Our spread! 30 Wings with 3 dips, Cajun Fried Corn, Veggie Sticks and Baked Rolls

So glad we already have Wingstop in Jacksonville! Although it's quite far from us, the long drive and the lengthy wait for the food to be cooked and prepared were worth the wait. So we ordered the group packs which consists of 30 wings for 3 flavors and 3 dips. Let's break it down :) Lemon Pepper- crunchy and vey flavorful, you can really taste the sourness of the lemon. Yum! Spicy Korean Q - my favorite among the 3 flavors! Slightly spicy, saucy and very tasty! Next time will double my order! Garlic Parmesan- my least favored flavor. It was definitely crunchy with lots of Parmesan on top but I can't taste the garlic. And it was just meh. Another preferred dish for me is the Cajun Fried Corn!!! Oh my goodness! It was delicious! Lots of butter and pepper! We also tried their baked rolls but it tasted like it was made 3 days prior. Overall, the wings and the corn will make me come back to this place! Wish they will open one in the Southside area.

Supposed to be "honey bbq" but was caked with pepper seasonings and was VERY salty! Couldn't eat them!

If I could give negative 0 stars I most definitely would. This is the worst location to go to. Avoid them if you can especially during the dinner hours. The girls who work that shift are so rude! Especially that older one who looks to be in her 50s. I don't know what her problem is but it seems like every-time she's making my order, she just so happens to ALWAYS lose "MY" order ticket. So I'm standing there waiting and waiting while the whole time my ticket isn't even on the line. It's happened 3 times, same girl. At this point it's not a coincidence , she is doing it on purpose for whatever reason. My visit last night, I walked in and they were sitting at the table talking and talking. Took them 5 minutes before one finally got up and took my order. While they are whispering and laughing, 30 minutes passes and I'm like where's my order? Whole time my ticket isn't even on the line!! They never even started making it!!!!!!!!!!!! Run those cameras, you can see for yourself just how long it was and there was only myself and another customer who came in shortly after me. I was also in there earlier the same day for a delivery pick up the older lady asked the name on it. She said it would be about 5 minutes. 25 minutes passes and a guy comes and asked the name of the order, he grabs it off the shelf. IT WAS SITTING THERE THE WHOLE TIME! Instead of the lady handing it to me since she KNEW it was my pickup order, she sets it on the shelf and walks away! Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered boneless "bbq" wings. It was covered in some type of dry hot pepper seasoning. They were so spicy I couldn't even them. Was that supposed to be a joke?? Again, these are supposed to be "honey bbq". They forgot my sauces which I paid extra for. I truly believe that one older girl does this on purpose because she is the one always making the orders. I don't know what her problem is, but she definitely does not need to be working there if she can't do her job. I won't ever be back anyways. I will however, let everyone know about this location and my experiences. Might even reach out to corporate because it's happened too often and is just unacceptable. Apparently, I'm not the only one this has happened to while that specific group of girls is working. Even a former employee said the same thing about them!

I ordered the Lemon Pepper and Mild Medium wings combo. It comes with fries or veggies. I chose the veggies and it also comes with a drink. I add in the fried corn because it's so good and I always order it when I come here. Most people that I observed ordered their food and then waited in their cars until it was done so that's what I did. I like the fact that there was not a lot of people in there standing around when I ordered. It was just me. Everything was good. I liked the Lemon Pepper Wings a little more than the Mild. The corn was good!

I've read the previous reviews for this place and I have to agree these might be the best wings in town as much as I hate to say it. This is an unassuming little strip mall store next to a Marco's pizza. The inside has probably 10 tables and it's very clean and pleasant. The restrooms are one person each and they are very clean also. They have perhaps 8 to 10 flavors of wings and no more but I have tried several and they were all good. My favorite is the garlic Parmesan with a close second being the Cajun spice. Now it kind of irritates me that it costs $.50 to get a 1 ounce ramekins of ranch dressing or blue cheese but I guess it is what it is. If you get the combo it is approximately one dollar per wing which is pretty steep. I had a good first visit and I will be back for sure.

Good chicken tenders, good drink and good celery. Fries were sweet and filled with salt which is disappointing. Good service.

Really let me down with my super bowl order. They barely seasoned the wings (dry). They were cold and and part of my order was missing. ‍

Right away the place had a great vibe, busy but still comfortable, and you could tell they take their food seriously. Marcus took care of us and his service really stood out. It's always a plus when the service matches the quality of the food, and he definitely made the experience even better. The brisket sandwich was excellent, full of flavor with that perfect smoky taste and really tender meat. You can tell it's done right. The pulled pork sandwich was just as impressive, juicy and packed with flavor in every bite. Both sandwiches were filling and hit the spot. The mac and cheese was great as well, creamy and rich and paired perfectly with the BBQ. It's one of those sides you don't think much about at first but end up finishing completely. Overall this place delivers on both food and service. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in Jacksonville and want some legit BBQ.

The sweep potato fries were out of this world not sure what seasoning they had on them but WOW they were delicious. The only so so note was the Mac and cheese, not bad just average. The building itself was clean and neat, they turned over the tables quickly and checked on guests often. They could use some better signage for the building itself but that is the only knock I can give (gps took us right to it).

I am normally not a person who seeks out pizza in general because I find pizza is always missing something. For those of you who subscribe to the salt, fat, acid and heat thing (plus spicey for me), this is the pizza for you! In addition the pizza sauce was bright with a fresh tomato taste, not a sweet, heavy dark red spaghetti type sauce drowning in italian seasoning. Top notch! I can say I will come back for this one. This was my first time here and I asked questions about the signature wings. They gave me a free sample of wings. Same thing, god balance of fat, acid and salt was good. If crispy breaded and fried is what your wanting/expecting then these wing wont be a good match, but the flavor is spectacular. The lemon in the sauce is great. The ambiance is a little industrial, more designed for hanging out. That is a choice not a defect though. Just saying it is not a quiet dinner for two kind of place. I knew yesterday as soon as I saw the advertisement for the new specials I had to get Layla's Chicken Cutlet Sandwich. We got there just after opening and they already had a few customers in the door, but we didn't have to wait long at all. Our food was ready within 15 minutes and brought out. The chicken cutlet sandwich was everything I had hoped it would be. Tangy, savory, and the cutlets were the perfect thickness. Full of great flavor and fresh mozzarella made this the perfect lunch today. The bread wasn't too soft, nor was it too hard. Baked PERFECT. I would eat this every single day if could. Amara loved her pizza and is excited to have some left over for later when she's playing her video games. I like mac n cheese, but generally I'm not a mac and cheese on pizza kind of gal, so I did not try any as of yet. Maybe she'll let me have a slice later? I was too stuffed from the sandwich for anything else. 10 out of 10 recommend and hubby is a little jealous we went without him.

This is one of those places that we love but haven't been to in far too long. We both tried things that were new to each of us tonight as well, which was cool. I ordered The Ole Smokie, with everything on it and choose cheddar cheese. My first thought when it was brought to the table was "oh, I'll probably have to go at this with a fork & knife" but I decided to give it a shot as intended. I'm glad I did because the bread held up surprisingly well! As far as ingredients go, the brisket was good and smokey. There was a good mix of everything else and more than enough cheddar. My wife ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak. She also had a choice of cheese and she picked whizz. The thing that separates this from what people might expect is that it's chunks of chicken, not shredded chicken. She said that's not a bad thing at all, just a change from what some might exoect. She thought it was a welcome change. She liked their cheese whizz a lot and liked the roll as always, so she was glad she tried it. It's worth noting that both sandwiches were big enough that we both took half of each home. I didn't get the name of the two people that were working there this evening, but I'd still like to give then a shout out. They were both incredibly patient with the customers ahead of us and they didn't make us feel rushed even though we were there fairly close to the time they close on Friday evenings. Ordered at the front counter and was greeted by a friendly young lady... good start. I went in planning to get the muffaleta off the specials board. Noticed another special on the wall, a smoked brisket sandwich. Can't remember the exact name, but that's what I went with. Instead of chips or their homemade tots, I grabbed the balsamic roasted brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Tables weren't the cleanest and were a little wobbly, but nothing deal-breaking... we made it work. Food came out pretty quick and looked solid. Flavor-wise... a little mixed. The brussel sprouts were very flaky and leafy, almost crumbled apart. You really had to work your fork to get a bite. I was picturing larger roasted halves. Sauce was fine, nothing bad, nothing special. I'd give those a 3 out of 5. The brisket sandwich was interesting. The meat was very fatty and kind of tough to chew through. Not sure if that's just the cut or the prep. I ate about three-quarters of it. It wasn't bad, just didn't hit the way I hoped. Probably still thinking about that muffaleta. Another 3 out of 5. I'd come back, no doubt... but next time I'm sticking with what they're known for. Those cheesesteaks always look great, and that's probably the move. Today was about trying something different, and I'm glad I did... even if it didn't knock my socks off.
