We had the pleasure of being served by Drew. Drew was amazing, incredibly friendly and attentive. Working the bar solo, she handled the drinks, TV channel requests, and assorted silliness with grace and a wonderful smile. Thanks Drew! I recommend this place for all the proper reasons!

The food is amazing and beer prices on point and the waitress/bartender is super personable. It has a casual sports bar vibe and is really clean inside. The regulars seem a little grungy, but nothing worrysome and even still you cant fault the establisment for that. PBRs or Natty Light pint cans are $2 everyday. That is a great deal! They have a craft beer fridge and one of the days they offer $2.50 for any one of them. I have been for quesadilla day and the portion is huge and really good. The taco day is good and interesting they offer one regular style and one rotating style each week. The burgers are killer especially the Bacon Egg N' Cheeseburger. The hotdog deal they have everyday is a super value. They use homemade sauces on most of their food. Really a well rounded restaurant especially for being attached to a bowling alley. They have tons of TVs if you want to watch anything. They even have a covered patio. They have Golden Tee, if you are into that. I can't speak for the night life I live in Greensboro and work in High Point so I only do lunches, but it always seems like they have something going on like DJs. If you are cold natured bring a sweater it is always a little chilly. As a person who gets lunch in High Point everyday and bases decisions on cost and taste this is in my top 5.

Me and my husband stopped into Wingstop today, and the experience was just... alright. Not…read moreterrible, but definitely not what I expected. When we first walked up, my husband asked, "Are y'all even open?" because they still had that little lockbox thing on the door, like the kind people use when they go out of town. I know it's probably standard (Marco's Pizza next door had one too), but it threw us off. And then when we walked in, the energy was flat. No greeting, no smiles, just that vibe like nobody really wanted to be there. I literally said, "You don't wanna be here, do you?" and chuckled to myself. We asked about the menu and the girl at the counter, Bri or Bry (not sure on the spelling), was giving us prices. At first I thought she didn't know how to ring us up, but she actually did, I was just asking a lot of questions. She kept it cool, but didn't smile until the very end when she said, "If you do the survey, you get free fries. My name's Bri!" And I was like, "So wait... we gotta do work just to get some food?" And she said just smiled.. like, "Yeah, you gotta do some work to get the free stuff." We both laughed, but I wasn't wrong! It's like every little thing costs extra, no family-sized options, just à la carte everything. I ended up spending nearly $30 just for my husband and myself to get some meat. I ordered my go-to: 8 lemon pepper tenders (my fave), and my husband got the mango habanero wings. Food was fine, no complaints there. But between the pricing, the setup, and the lack of energy when we walked in, it just didn't feel worth what I spent. Not the worst place, but definitely not the best. Might try it again on a different day, but right now, it's giving "meh.

There has been a wealth of new fried chicken joints opening up in the Triad lately, and while we…read moreall love more options for crispy fried poultry, they all come with their own nuances. This spot, Hangry Joes, in my opinion has more in common with Korean style fried chicken, than a Nashville hot, or traditional southern place. The menu is diverse, and they make everything look exceptionally large and tasty... honestly, in my opinion, that ends up working against them. Compared with what is presented in their imagery, you are nearly certain to be let down by what you are given. Let me explain. I ordered the "Mega Sando Combo." The picture of a huge chunk of chicken spilling well outside the bun with plenty of tangy slaw and pickles really sold it as the thing I want. Also, when words like "Mega" are used, you are specifically creating large imagery. The reality... it's an 8 ounce chicken breast. The sandwich given to me was larger than one I would be handed at Chick-Fil-A, but not A LOT larger. It all fit completely under the bun. The amount of slaw on the sandwich was very modest... i would even say sparse. While the sandwich was absolutely tasty, my expectations were way off base, and they designed it that way. I think that's a bad thing. The price was also pretty Mega, and the amount of fries it came with... weren't even medium. We had the same issue with the loaded Mac n Cheese bowl. Again.. pictured as bountiful and spilling over the top. Reality, you would not have even had to press down to put a lid on it to go. It all was below the threshold. They also should be serving the sauce on the side with the bowls... there was so much buffalo sauce in the bowl it just tasted like eating a bowl of sauce rather than sauced chicken with mac n cheese. I have now learned my lesson. I'll come back, because really, both the sandwich and the fries were very tasty... but to be honest, not as often as I'd like, and with expectations that I have now created for myself, as opposed to seriously way overblown menu images.
