Made a mistake on my order of wings. I ordered boneless instead of classic and I have a gluten allergy so I can't have anything breaded. I called them 4 times the moment I realized it which was right away. The manager or what seemed like the manager was really rude when I explained the situation and told him I called them as soon I put the order in. His excuse was they are under staffed and can't accommodate my order so I have to put in a new order. He proceeded to mock me by saying, "you hit the "boneless" but you wanted classic like how." Wanted me to wait another 40 mins on top of the 20 mins I waited for 10 classic wings and a side of Buffalo ranch fries. I hope I get my refund because I had to go get food elsewhere. This is the third time I've been to a Wingstop and the second time I've been to this location. It's kind of a little hidden gem. The first time a friend brought me and this time I brought a friend. Both times it was after 10pm so it was nice to find a place that was open. Not only was it open but it was busy and the employees were all very professional. The person who took our order, this time, was a guy named Mike. Mike was friendly and helpful. The Wings were hot and delicious. I just stopped in today, shortly after they opened. They already had people in there, but the wait wasn't long. The cashier was very friendly. I stepped outside to take a phone call in my car, and my order must have come up just as I stepped out. A nice guy came out from inside and brought me my order, which exceeded my expectations. The wings weren't dripping with sauce, but very flavorful nonetheless. The fries were well seasoned and not too greasy. The ranch was amazing, and that's saying a lot coming from a born & raised Midwesterner! Overall, we had a great experience! About $21 for both my boyfriend and I's food, and we had leftovers. This is by far the worst restaurant in Des Moines when it comes to speed and friendliness of staff. I often DoorDash and if I could skip every delivery I get from this place, I would. I've never waited there for less than 25 minutes and they make you get the customers drink, which in turn puts no seal on the drink per DoorDash requirements.. The employees play extremely loud, inappropriate rap music on a portable speaker and the managers do not seem to mind... singing along with the music about drugs, guns, and speaking vulgar things about women. When you arrive at the restaurant, you are rarely greeted and you're lucky if you even get a response from the employee when trying to get their attention. It appears to me, especially during the evening shifts, the employees often leave the restaurant for 3-4 minutes at a time, one at a time, and come back smelling of marijuana... which may have to do with why they are so unbearably slow. If you're thinking about eating here, make sure you've got two hora of free time and some ear plugs. read more

My friends and I waited for about an hour( which is fine because we walked in and ordered) but the issue is that our order was incomplete and when we brought it to their attention they were rude and claimed that we never ordered that (receipt proved we did) we waited for the rest of the order and again was only given part of it. I just moved in from Texas back in July 2023. We love Wing-stop bc of the taste, timely manner and communication. But since we moved to iowa, and the 1st place we stop was Wing-stop i Was disappointed. I have order 10 times online and I had called 9 times and showed up 8 times just to make sure they would get my order right. It's not hard when we place an order and give instructions and they follow instructions. My kids love hot lemon pepper extra wet. I place them online as 20 boneless original buffalo and just call it or go in the store so they know that on those boneless I want them hot lemon pepper, to can add the lemon pepper on top. I've also let them know to please have them soaked/wet with sauce. All the times have been no lemon pepper on it, not wet and half coated in sauce & not to mention the times is horrible. It said 16-20 min but take 50min- over 1 hour. Last night 10/7/24 I placed a doordash order with Wingstop on 14th. I called to speak with manager I get treated and spoken inappropriate by the District Manager Joan. I ask if I could go and get my refund and she said no she wasn't going to give me no refund. I told her how my order is always wrong, her response was we don't look in the past to the other times don't count, looking forward I must call to make sure they get order right. And that's what's I said I do call in and stop by and they still mess it up. I bc called back multiplied times and she cuzzed me out and kept saying have a good night and hung up. Now as a District Manager I can say she don't need that job if she can't talk right to customers. By far that locations is the worst. But I will not compare to Texas Wingstop, I give them 5 stars, they are friendly, they will work with you, and have the order on time, sometimes earlier, and if they mess up they will talk to you and work with you . But never again will I order on 14th they lost clients bc my kids order at least 3 times a week. I have no idea what happened to this location. I live pretty far away and am not in this area often, but I had wings from here around September of 2020 and it was all great. The food was fresh, the wings had tons of sauce, and the fries were well seasoned. Well, jokes on me because I ordered from here again and it was AWFUL. The wings had no sauce and the food was cold. We ordered pick up and were told the food would be ready at 6:30. We got there ten minutes early and the food was already cold.
