I have PCOS and despite a healthy diet and daily exercise, have been unable to get rid of the "PCOS belly". Dr. Henry is one of the doctors I sent an inquiry to over the weekend, expecting a phone call to discuss a consult. Instead, I received a text the following Monday asking the following: do I smoke or vape, do I have diabetes, and what is my height and weight. I responded that I did not smoke nor have diabetes, and provided my height and weight. They denied me by text message only based on BMI (which hasn't been used an an accurate measurement in healthcare in years). People have different body types. I'm in good shape with the exception of this PCOS belly and they didn't even take the time to meet with me or visibly see me prior to telling me I had to lose weight first. This IS the weight I CANT lose - and why I'm looking to have the procedure. Happy to bring my business elsewhere, and hoping folks reading this do the same.
