From the exterior this joint isn't the most inviting, but we shouldn't judge a book by the cover right?...and sometimes there are gems to be found in places we would normally pass by. I browsed the board and decided to keep it simple, went with the Italian Grinder. Holy goodness this grinder is ginormous...felt like they handed me a small baby. I added a bag of chips and a water....all this for under $8...can't go wrong. I hope the locals don't take these grinders for granted and I'll be sure to sample more off the menu on future trips.

Under the former ownership, this was a great place to grab a sandwich or a pizza…read more However, under the current ownership,,,, I made the mistake of stopping for breakfast very recently. The stench in the air upon entering the room should have been enough of a warning. But, I was there, so I gave it a shot. Placing the order was a bit challenging as English is not the first language of the current owners. When you make your way to the "dining room", a good number of house flys will greet you. The dining area is in shambles and not at all a place generate an appetite. There was a Christmas tree lit up in the corner. There were six flavors of coffee advertised,, they offered only two. When the food was delivered, that told the rest of the story, greasy and stale. The jelly for the toast was so old that it was separated in its container. Most of what was ordered was left in the trash can. My opinion only, if you are going to eat here, you may be taking your health into your own hands. Too bad Rae's cafe across the street is not open on weekends. Their breakfasts are outstanding!

That made the experience pleasant. Once we got our sandwiches, we went outside to the picnic tables next door at the ice cream place. I think that place is owned by the same people. The tables were very clean and the view of the village was beautiful. We enjoyed our lunch here and now we know why it sees a lot of business.
