Located inside Dave and busters. Food was terrible and pricey. If you want good wings, order from somewhere else.

This time around we visited the Mad For Chicken location in Massapequa tucked in the Southgate Shopping Center. The space is a decent size where they have lots of table seating, a few tables for standing and bar seating. They also have two clean gender neutral bathrooms on site if need to be used. It's a great place to hang out with friends or for a super casual date night. The menu selection has most of the menu you would see at most other locations, but I've also noticed it depends on location what is available. Of course they have their famous chicken wings which was one of the items we chose to share. We got the signature wings in soy garlic. We love that the wings are cooked to perfection with a crispy outer coating and then a juicy and tender chicken meat on the inside. We also grabbed the crabmeat salad which was a big portion that can easily be shared between two or three people. There was a generous amount of shredded crab with tomatoes and greens well dressed in a sweet and creamy honey mustard sauce. The hubbs wanted fries, so we got an order of those too. Also perfectly crispy and not greasy at all. It came with dipping sauces of ketchup and spicy mayo. Service by the two girls in the was great making sure that every table had what they needed. Overall another great Mad for Chicken location and we would come back again.

It's nice to go to someplace new to me. It was hard to find parking because of all the snow from the 3rd snowstorm that is still not clearing the streets and sidewalks. Hubby dropped me off and found one. It's a kitchy looking place with many TVs and multiple levels. The door to the place looks like an English phone booth with 2 dialup phones in the entryway. Our waiter Joe was very nice. The girl who sat us gave us our menus right away. I had to wait for hubby to park, but I had time to look over the menu. All the choices sounded good. Hubby wound up with a Spinach Benedict with Roasted Tomatoes with nicely Crispy fries and a lemon Benedict sauce to die for. I got a Avocado Toast with Goat Cheese and Caramelized Onions on whole grain toast. The Arugula salad that was also on the plate was covered lightly with a lemony dressing. I added Cholula Sauce and it was so good. Another point I'd like to make is that the bottles of hot sauces were clean with no cruddy tops. That turns me off so good for them. I would definitely go back.

The staff is very welcoming and the ambiance is very up and jumpy. The music is played very loud, so if you don't like that then...RIP. My friend and I then got the Gumbo and Louisiana Shrimp and Grits, I couldn't get enough. It's delicious! Parking is a little tight but worth to go try it out!

While enjoying our comped beers, scrolling through social media noted that Big Daddy's had the King Cobras playing at 630! We had previously enjoyed the band in the same setting over a year ago, and I was only this years old when I realized the harmonica player is from another favorite band, Blue Roots! Made a reservation and off we went. When we arrived, I noticed seating to the right of the bar that would give us pretty much a front row seat for the music. Lisa was hesitant because it was not truly in the dining room, but acquiesced. So glad we did because we ended up staying for 3 hours, enjoying both sets. We also got to hang with family members and friends of the band, which made for an extremely intimate and enjoyable evening. We both started with sazeracs, which had too much ice to make it the classic that it is. We shared the barbecue plate, some of the meats a hit, some a miss. Pulled pork and brisket a little too fatty even for me , and of the 4 ribs, 2 were meaty and 2 kind of forlorn! Next time will choose more carefully, as previously enjoyed a grits dish and Lisa a salad with grilled shrimp. After dinner, a generous pour of Wild Turkey 101, sipped while swept up in the sounds! Overall a fun evening, music and hospitality being the 5th star, food and drink a 3, so overall a 4 star evening. Definitely will return for this band!
