With that, she prepares a quote giving me suggestions on what can be added or removed to stay within my budget. Ordered a grill to be delivered curbside off the truck with a lift…read more I live in a remote area with no access for semi-trucks, which was spelled out with the manufacturer when I placed the order. They said that the SE freight had different sized trucks so it would not be a problem. I could have purchased the items in the closest city (100 miles), for $200 less, but picked it up at my convenience and when I had help. I chose to pay more to have it delivered. When they called to schedule delivery, they said they could only use an 18-wheeler to deliver, and when I said that was not possible as per the order, they laughed, and told me to call the manufacturer and refuse delivery. The manufacturer was on the phone with them for hours to no avail. They offered to meet me 6 MILES from my house and load it into the back of my pick-up truck, but they won't deliver on Saturday when I would have someone able to help unload it. So, the pallet has to sit in my truck for 6 days while I wait for the weekend. I can't drive anywhere, etc. Or, I can pick it up in the city, even though I paid extra to have it delivered. The manufacturer is partly to blame for not making sure this delivery was possible, but they said they have never run across this problem with SE Freight before, and would be pulling their business. SE was rude to them also. Unbelievable! Who ever heard of a trucking company that cannot/will not actually deliver what they were paid to deliver? If you own a business, and are looking to ship items, I would stay away from this company, or face losing sales. I will never purchase from this particular manufacturer again, nor any company that uses this method of shipping.
