You might drive right past if you didn't know it was there! But the locals know. The modest exterior on Highway 70 belies a spectacular hidden gem that lies behind these walls. Thankfully, the glowing online reviews brought Chassy's to my attention, and I'm glad I found the place! The lemon pepper wings are stellar, bursting with flavor and properly tender and juicy. The fried okra might be the second best I've ever eaten in my life! They also feature very good catfish and pork chops! Millions of motorists drive down I-40 less than two miles north, sadly unaware that a freeway exit would take them to Chassy's in minutes. So I suppose we'll just have to keep this little secret among the locals.

First, we were excited for so much variety in one place We ordered shrimp and frog legs. I believed it was a 2 item combo. They give you plenty of. It started... The staff cashier was friendly enough. Our drink lemonade, serve yourself, began with a bug spewing out. Ok, no aplogies, but we got a new cup. We asked for salt - they had none? Hmmm odd. The place had chairs so as not to go into the dining area, we asked, as we did not want to sit in the car again and eat. She said no problem. It was clean, but things were kind of old. And the place was smelly. The food was ok. Kind of bland. I needed salt. We threw half away. I am glad we were traveling through. I don't think I would make effort to go looking for it again.

We are travelers coming from out of state and landed in Little Rock for an evening…read more When we asked a local we ran into for their favorite joint, they recommended Waldo's. When we arrived it was late and instead of glaring at us for coming in near closing time, we were greeted with kindness. We asked what their favorite was and we ordered it. Had the Foul Mouth sandwich combo and cheddar biscuits with some chicken nuggets. The chicken was absolutely delicious with a spiced crust perfectly fried. The chicken was moist and when we added the sauces, we lost our mind. The biscuits are amazing too, but with the honey butter they were divine. If you are a food critic or just a casual diner the cook was perfect and the flavor on point. The staff were phenomenal and deserve praise too. Thank you Little Rock! Arkansas, we love your people!

I took my 96-year-old mom here for the first time on St Patrick's Day 2026. I wasn't sure what to…read moreexpect because I'd driven by the place numerous times and it always struck me as a fast food place (which I don't do), but the "& BEER" always made me pause since crappy fast food places only serve children's drinks. So for St Patrick's Day, I was looking for place with inexpensive food, inexpensive beer, and FREE parking. This Waldo's met all three requirements. We went there with no expectations and we were not disappointed!! My mom ordered the rotisserie chicken sandwich and ate the whole thing which she rarely ever does with any sandwich anymore so it must have been good! I ordered the small chicken nachos, thinking I'd get served a tiny plate of food, and the SMALL was so large, I ended up taking half home with me! This will be dinner as well as lunch, especially after I smoke some St Patrick's Day green. ;) The beer was decently priced too, because they basically have happy hour all day. The only drink that was full price was the draft cider, but I can forgive them for that since they say that all draft beers are half price and technically, cider isn't a beer. Waldo's has a choice of three types of service: drive through/pick up service which is perfect for people under 21 and tee-totalers; counter service where you can still order alcohol but you have to do all the work and pay as you go; and full service at the bar where someone else does the work for you for a tip like a regular restaurant. Best thing at the end of the meal was NO STICKER SHOCK!! I estimated $35 (pre-tax&tip), and the actual bill was $35.57 (with tax). I always think I'm lucky if I estimate within $2 of the actual bill, so I can't beat that!! I will definitely eat and drink here again, and I recommend it to everyone!
