This is what fast food should be... local, quick, friendly service of hand-held delicious food! I had the Chicken Avo Wrap as recommended by another Yelper, and it was fantastic! ALWAYS when traveling, I use Yelp to find local shops. Before driving through Little Rock, I checked Yelp and decided to take the loop around the north of the city to go to this place... and I'm glad I did! Worth the extra 20 - 25 minute drive. Best freaken grilled chicken I've had in a long time. We're from AZ and pollo asado in Little Rock, I'll take it! I normally post pics but when I tell you we tore it up we didn't even have time for pics. We even had flan and churros and it was all under $40 which is great for a family of 4! I was in the mood for chicken and was going through reviews for chicken restaurants I've never visited. After reading the reviews from this restaurant I decided to take the drive and see if all the 5* reviews were accurate. I arrived a little before 3 and walked up to the counter and was trying to decide what I wanted. The young men at the counter could tell I was confused, he gave me a complete description of the menu items. I settled on the 4 piece bone in with roasted potatoes and beans. The grilled chicken arrived hot and quickly. It had that grilled flavor I haven't tested for a very long time. The chicken was juicy and tender, the portions were actually larger than the chicken I buy in Kroger. The beans were really good, the potatoes were also very good. The restaurant is immaculate and the manager came out to ask how everything was and we had a brief but pleasant exchange. He told me of their other location in Bryant. After having a meal here I agree with everyone that this place is amazing, the staff is outstanding and the chicken is like no other I've tasted since I was in California. This is my new place in Little Rock for chicken. I give them a 7* rating. You have to try their chicken!! read more

This was my first time to try Grill Pollo and was very impressed! I had chips and cheese dip for an appetizer and the three piece chicken dinner for the entree. The chicken is delicious! The owner told me that all the chicken is marinated for 24 hours before it is cooked. The service is very friendly and prompt and the atmosphere is spacious and quiet. I gave them 1 star because the chicken barely had flavor, NO grilled taste, an unappealing look and texture, I can tell they buy cheap ass chicken and probably not from a vendor, or it was old as hell because they don't do FIFO. I was highly disappointed to say the least. I bought an 8 piece and 2 smedium sides they call a large, girl bye! For just that alone I spent $27.75 which ain't shit, but damn not for no bullshit. I used to be a restaurant GM holding a ServSafeManager certificate and being in California you can't get hired handling food unless you're ServSafe certified. I want to point out only 2 states are currently required for all employees to be ServSafe certified, and one is not California. Most businesses in every state won't hire you if you don't have that's certification because you don't know shit about food handling food. In addition, I can tell whose ever in charge of running that place don't know what the hell their doing. It's pathetically sad, I don't do long reviews or shit on businesses, but if you aren't up to par in many ways in the food service industry it REALLY pisses me off because it's not right what they're doing. Someone's young child with a weak immune system can get food poisoning and their little bodies can't fight the bacteria and they die, even adults can. On top of that give quality to the customers, that tough ass chicken was outta pocket. Arkansas is the chicken state they GOTS TO DO BETTER! WTF!! Employees were crowded in the kitchen, 2 came out didn't do shot but look at went back to the back. 3/4 of the place was empty I'm surprised when I was ordering it didn't echo. I was the only take-out customer and I saw no orders out for DoorDash deliverers to pick up. That was crazy to me, because when it's slow you cut labor, period. They're cutting costs in the wrong place. Come to think of it I didn't smell cooked food at all, hell I could've walked into a nail salon, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Anyway I can tell they keep their chicken on hand precooked and for too long; no telling what else. In the food service industry we call it par. I bet the chicken sit it in some old reused foil or in the oven to keep it warm to cut cost. Nevertheless, if they don't know or apply the basics, they don't have par equipment. Cooked chicken must be kept par at a minimum of 90 degrees and only for ONE hour. After that they're supposed to (waste it) throw it away and count it as waste, otherwise, a customer could get food poisoning, and that's a lawsuit. None of their cooked food is being kept properly because my order came out in less than 5 minutes. My mom literally stays 2 minutes away by car, I went straight to her house and we began eating it. I was so embarrassed I told my mom I'm trashing it and go somewhere else. None of the food was at the right temperature, barely warm, and the kitchen better not microwave it to heat it up; that's not keeping the food industry standards. On top of that with a 8 piece take out order with sides they didn't put napkins in the bag or utensils. What part of the game is that??!! I'll tell you a con game. I can go on but I'll only be giving them game, because I know they're reading this, game is to be SOLD, not told. FYI, Just because a place that serve food look clean and neat with a friendly cashier that shit don't mean a thing. They can start by keeping that fake shit to themselves and focus on serving some seasoned chicken hot off the grill, along with a lot more shit. I wasn't there but less than 5 minutes but I can read things quick from being in the food serving game as a waitress, a cook, an assistant manager, a front of the house manager and as a General Manager I know my shit, and they ain't it. read more

More people should know about this place! Excellent grilled chicken. I'm not sure if we even have another grilled chicken place here, but if so, there's no way they could rival this chicken. Always moist, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. On your first visit, you MUST either order a chicken dinner or at least add a piece of chicken to whatever else you order. Do not leave the restaurant until you've tasted the grilled chicken. I'm not even a big grilled chicken fan, but this is legit. And try the chicken fries (think loaded French fries with all the stuff plus chunks of grilled chicken). The prices are so reasonable. The owner and all the staff are super friendly and helpful. If you've never eaten here, the owner takes the time to tell you all about how they cook their chicken and he will even make suggestions. And let's talk about the cleanliness of the restaurant. I've been in surgical rooms that weren't this clean. I'm not exaggerating. Tonight I was waiting on my takeout order and just for fun, looked around to see if I could find anything that was at least a little dirty (inconspicuously, of course, because I'm not a crazy person). I couldn't find ANYTHING. I even peeked back to glance in the kitchen, specifically at the floor. This place is pristine. This is most definitely a place that deserves local support. Think of all the various fried chicken dishes, like salad, nuggets, tenders, nachos, wraps, etc., but made with fresh grilled chicken. They do NOT use chicken patties or ground chicken.
