I recently came back and realized this place is now called Space City Bites instead of Wings 87. Apparently, there's new management, which explains the changes. I noticed they now advertise 50 flavors, and the specials have changed as well. Unfortunately, just my luck, my usual flavor, Spicy Lemon Pepper BBQ, is no longer on the menu. I decided to try Spicy Lemon Pepper Honey instead, and it was actually really good. I'd definitely order that flavor again. My friend ordered the same flavor, but her order only came out as regular Spicy Lemon Pepper, so she was understandably disappointed with that mix-up. I also ordered two separate 6-count wing orders ($10.99 each) and was only given one ranch sauce. Mind you, these weren't part of a wing special. If I had ordered a 12-count with two flavors, I would've understood, but ordering two separate 6-counts made me assume we'd each get our own sauce. Maybe I should've been more specific, but honestly, I didn't think that would be necessary. The other odd part of the experience was requesting the wings to be fried hard. The cook came out from the back three separate times to confirm that's what I wanted and kept emphasizing that it would take 20 minutes. I was a little confused because, yes, that's exactly how I ordered them, and I was perfectly fine waiting since I'm paying for the food. I even asked how long they normally cook them because all the repeated confirmations started making me concerned. The reason I requested them fried hard in the first place was because during a previous visit, the wings were soft and borderline undercooked. Overall, the wings were good this time around, but the multiple service hiccups made the experience a little frustrating. I'd probably come back, but maybe on a Wednesday for the .99 special because there are other places in Houston with better wing deals at this price point. The food has potential, especially with all the flavor options, but consistency and attention to detail could definitely be improved.

I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of wing flavors they offer here. There are a lot of options on the menu and it honestly took me a minute to decide. I'm a pretty big wing fan, so I was excited to try this place out. They have a list of their top flavors posted right in front of where you order, which made it a little easier to narrow things down. I ended up picking two from that list. I went with the garlic parmesan wings and the lemon pepper buffalo since those seemed to be two of the more favored options. I was slightly disappointed because with the amount of flavors they have, the sauces and rubs were good, but the wings themselves were not cooked crispy. They were a little on the softer side and slightly undercooked for my taste, which is why I ended up deducting a star. If the wings had been fried a bit longer and had that crispy bite, this probably would have easily been a five-star experience for me. I ordered inside and the customer service was really good. The staff was friendly and my food came out pretty quickly, which I appreciated. Flavor-wise everything was solid, so the potential is definitely there. I also snapped a picture of the menu because they run different specials throughout the week. Unfortunately I came on the weekend, so I wasn't able to take advantage of any of the weekday deals. The wings are a little pricey, but honestly that seems to be the going rate for wings these days. If I come back, I would probably just ask for the wings and fries to be cooked a little longer so they come out crispier. I'd also be curious to try more of the flavors since they have so many. I may stop by on their $0.87 wing day just to sample a few more and give them another shot. Overall, not bad

These are easily the most delicious wings I've had in a LONG time. 87 flavors is ridiculous but I want to try them ALL. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman at the front but he was super easy going, professional and patient with us while we decided why to get since it was our first time. The inside reminded me of a place in Austin where there's signatures from everyone who's visited on the inside, it's small and not a lot of place to sit there's like 5 seats but it's still chill to eat there if you fit, will absolutely be back!

They truly live up to their name... trying to figure out which flavor to get out of their 87 offerings was a struggle! I ultimately opted for the garlic mango habanero with waffle fries. The wings were cooked very well. Super juicy on the inside. The mango habanero sauce was tasty, but it was a bit too sweet. I didn't get much habanero heat. The garlic was a nice touch though. The waffle fries were very crispy and had a good seasoning. My eyes are on their garlic buffalo sauce for next time.

Definitely check them out if youre in the area!

We ordered wings for takeout. They were super nice and helpful on the phone and the order was ready in about 25 minutes. The wings were large in size, and were a bit variable - some were more juicy and some were a bit dry. The boneless ones had an amazing garlic parmesan sauce, but was a bit tough. The buffalo sauce is a bit more of an oil-based sauce, which brings some nice heat, and is different than a typical buffalo sauce.

Great workers and fast to get my food would recommend if it's your first time and they have a lot of selections of different foods

I tried this place for the first time and was disappointed, especially after reading great reviews. My husband and I ordered honey BBQ wings and Buffalo garlic wings, respectively, and asked for them to be extra crispy. Although the wings were juicy and fresh, they lacked flavor and crispiness, which was a letdown. I wish I had opted for Popeyes instead.

My cousin and I saw this place on yelp because we were wanting wings and definitely not from a big-box place. The fact that they have 87 wing flavors (sauces/rubs/dry-seasonings) is AMAZING so there's going to be something for everyone. If you order 14+ wings then you can split up the flavor choices to mix it up. The waffle fries were fresh and amazing too - probably the best I've ever had. It is a small mom & pop place so there's a few bar top seats for you to sit at but I think the AC unit was out so they had an oscillating fan facing the register but not enough air circulation to keep the waiting area cool. (I'm guessing) the owner took our order and she was super sweet and patient as we stared at the list of flavors trying to decide what to get. She let us know it would be about 10ish minutes for everything to be ready - once it was, we hopped back in the truck and enjoyed them in the parking lot.

First things first, the owners are absolutely delightful. Second. Those wings are phenomenal. After multiple visits I've settled on hot lemon pepper as my go to but I'm happy with all the hot flavors (I, personally, don't care for sweet wings). Very generous sauce helpings and I've never felt cheated on wing girth or quality. The fries are also really good. Be forewarned though you can expect them to be soggy if you're driving back home over 20 minutes before eating as your food will be hot (made to order) the condensation will do condensation things. I'm always full with a medium order. There is a tendency for the wings to be fried hard which is my preference but may not be to everyone's liking. There is a discount for first responders, I can't confirm military discounts. It's also cheaper to call rather than order via chow now or another app. Next time I go I'll take pictures. read more

I had heard of this place for a while and kept passing it when I make a trip to Costco. The wings ARE AMAZING! I am very picky about my sauces and how my wings are cooked and this place delivered very flavorful wings. The spicy lemon pepper - hot delivered the right amount of citrus and heat that you want in a wing. I got boneless this time and they did not disappoint. They were cooked just right and crispy. Only thing that I would complain about was I did not get my ranch but that's okay. Despite that the service was great, they were quite busy the night I stopped by with to go orders but I got mine in a timely manner. I definitely have recommended this to my friends since I've gone and will continue to go back. I'm glad I have a local wing place that I can become a regular at rather than going to big chains. read more

I highly recommend this place - not just for the taste and quality of the food offered (particularly the large variety of sauces/flavors), but because of the generosity and kindness of the owners. Despite being locked out of their property due to rent debt during the COVID-19 crisis, the owners still prepared and donated food on multiple occasions to support frontline workers at the Fort Bend COVID-19 Testing Center. Additionally, the owners donate 5% of monthly proceeds to a domestic violence shelter (see below article). This right here is a prime example of the small local businesses that we should frequent and support during these tough economic times. I never leave reviews even when the food is great. But I have to show some respect! These wings taste so delicious, unlike Wing Stop and Pluckers -- no feathers on this chicken! Clean, juicy, flavorful & hot (temp) chicken wings. The sauces are delicious! I've had hot lemon pepper and minced garlic wings! Awesome. This is my new place to get my "gametime" wings lol. They literally have 87 flavors. I haven't tried them all but all the ones that i have tried are amazing!!! AND they will give you all flats or drums! They promptly answer the phone for orders so the service is good. This is more of a to-go place though so don't expect to go there and sit and watch the game or something. But they do have a tv and about 4 barstools. read more

Wings87 is so yummy and amazing! The Garlic Parmesan wings are my favey!! And they only have 60 wing flavors. #humblebrag Everything is so fresh: the wings, the burgers, the salads, the cheese fries, the fish & chips, the grinders, the cheesecake....oh my! This small business understands the assignment: fresh, great quality food, great service and to be consistent. I go pretty often and the owners are super nice which is an added bonus. This place is mainly for takeout, delivery and/or catering as dine in seating is limited but if you are open to supporting a small business with great quality food, all signs point to Wings87. This hidden gem is located inside the loop, down the street from Central Market, between Weslayan and Timmons. You can't miss it. (And don't mind the construction in the nearby area but it is Houston, right. I think we are all, sadly and unfortunately, used to all this darn construction.) They are located next to a Goodwill so if you have a donation to drop off during their working hours, drop off your donation and pick up your to go lunch for the family and they will thank you for it = a win win. But fair warning: if you go once, there is a 99.99999% chance you will get addicted to this delicious food and become a repeat customer. It happens to the best of us. And I normally post photos but once I get home, I scarf the food down so quickly there is not photo op time. Next time though. read more

It was okay. The spicy wings were was to saucey like they were just Smothered and hot sauce and the lemon pepper was way too salty the only thing that was good what is the occasion but I didn't even taste like chocolate occasion it was just kind of normal salt and pepper seasoning. read more

Soooo glad I came across this hidden gem! Some of the best wings I've ever had, so far the hot lemon pepper has been my favorite. Generous with the sauce and they don't charge extra for all drums or all flats, which I feel like I don't see much. Very decently priced and good sized wings. Definitely a little mom & pop shop, the owners are extremely kind and personable. Down the street from both a Wingstop and BWW, highly recommend skipping both of these and supporting this small business as it's significantly better than both of those locations. 10/10 highly recommend read more

Stop going anywhere else for wings and ONLY come here! The wings are amazing, great size, and the sauces are endless. You can tell the owners care about their business unlike the big chain wing places. The obvious human touch makes the product all the more worth. The wings were great , SO MANY DIFFERENT FLAVORS! It was my first time going there and whenever I'm in that area I will only be getting my wings from there from now on. Have only ever ordered takeout, but the restaurant has a very friendly atmosphere. I usually get the Cajun & lemon pepper. You can tell the sauces are made fresh from scratch and not just from a pre made bottle like other Buffalo wing franchises. Definitely will keep coming back for more. read more

Have tried both their wings and their marinated chicken sandwich and both have been super tasty. The honey hot sauce had a small kick and a little sweet so that was awesome. My roommates enjoyed the garlic parmesan and medium buffalo as well. They have given a 10% neighbors discount each time. read more

However, I was given two small leg quarters and an extra piece of white meat--which I didn't ask for--all of which were extremely dry. The portion size has noticeably decreased as well. I was also very concerned to see them using spray cleaner near the food, which poses a risk of chemical contamination. On top of that, the Tequeños were extremely dark and tasted like they had been refried, nearly burnt. Adding to the poor experience, one of the girls behind the counter was playing around and massaging her coworkers while customers were being served. That level of unprofessional behavior is not something anyone wants to see while waiting for their food. I've always liked this place for its fresh rotisserie chicken, but it feels like DoDo's has started cutting corners on both food quality and cleanliness. Paying $19.52 for this meal just didn't feel worth it.

Unfortunately, room temp wings are not something I care for. I return to the office, reheat my wings and realized there were no fries?! Check my receipt and realized not only did she forget my fries but she nickeled and dimed me for sauce flavors and wing add on? Per the menu, to add 5 wings to your order is $7.50, a bit pricey but I was hungry. What the menu doesn't say is you'll be charged for add ons!!
