I was interesting in a Mercedes E63 wagon they had in stock, so I sent them a message through their…read morewebsite and the owner, Moe, promptly called me. He told me it was a car he bought for his wife, thus it was in excellent condition. Since I lived far away and would have to fly in to see the car, I asked him if there was anything else I needed to know or any issues with the car. He said no, the car was excellent. I applied for a loan at the bank recommended by him, right across the street from his store, and flew to San Francisco. After almost an hour in an Uber in traffic I get to his shop. Right away I noticed rust on the wheel bolts. When i looked underneath there was rust on all bolts, brackets, suspension parts. At that point his secretary probably gave the owner the heads up and he didn't even show up to meet me. I asked the secretary if they knew a place I could put the car on a lift to check the undercarriage better. She turned pale. After being on the phone with the owner for a while and telling me they couldn't find a place available, she allowed me to take the car out and look for a place myself. Well, a few blocks away there was a tire shop and they lifted the car up for me. Not only there was rust everywhere, the front bumper as broken. This is the kind of business that give car salesmen a bad name. Btw, when I was outside his shop waiting for my Uber I saw him approaching the store in a Mercedes CLS, and when he saw me he took off. So beware of this business, I wouldn't buy a bike from them.

Pre sales was amazing, can't fault them. However as soon as anything goes wrong it takes months to…read morehave anything sorted. I paid £6995 for a car which was not fit for purpose. I ended up getting a full refund 6 months after purchasing the car. This was only achieved by going to trading standards and sending 2 letters, 1 stating i was taking small claims court action and then taking the car to a specialist. No sorry no nothing. I would not recommend this garage to anyone.

So I bought a car from Andy last year which seemed really good at the time. Decent price, good…read morecondition and a nice guy to deal with. I had the car for a few weeks from memory and then I had an issue with the car breaking down. Took it to a garage who said it needed a new valve on the engine. For some reason I just started to get a bad feeling about the car but I didn't think I would be the victim of something like that so I said to Andy that I would keep it and see how it went. Andy did say that he would take it back which I felt was a sign that he was being genuine and that the car would be ok once I had the valve replaced. The car was fine after that...until I had another issue a while later where the engine stopped and I had to have a new engine fitted. The cost was nearly £2000. I was told that the cam belt had gone which was very strange for a car of this age and this mileage. I contacted Andy who offered a token gesture. I have just tried to sell my car and I have found out that the car was bought from a salvage yard where it had been rebuilt after a crash. Dealers who I had approached all said that it had been stripped and been involved in some sort of issue and they don't want to have anything to do with it. Understandable considering they want to sell cars with no hassle. I spoke to Andy to offer him the car back at a price which would be attractive but he said he wasn't interested, no matter how cheap it was. I said I knew that it had been stripped and he told me to F off... my advice to anyone is to stay away from his company at all costs. A year after I had bought the car I have now sold it to someone who knows about it, and I have lost over £4500. But peace of mind and safety is a price worth paying. Whilst not being 100% sure, I was told that the new owner ( in the car trade) was almost certain that Andy had bought the car directly from the salvage yard a few months before I bought it from him. He would expect to see another owner (not by name but some sort of additional purchase history) if the car was sold from the salvage yard prior to gateacre motors taking ownership. Absolute coward and the morals of a swamp dog. I would never ever have anything to do with them if they were the last place on earth. Avoid avoid avoid!
