We came here after the farmers market to enjoy a beer and thought about getting some food. While…read morewe were sitting outside there was a group of young teenagers also in the outdoor seating area and they were being absolutely obnoxious. Why there was a group of teenagers sitting at an area where they serve alcohol without a parent around baffled me. Because they were so obnoxious, we decided to just finish our drink and go somewhere else to eat. As we were getting ready to leave, one of the teenagers threw their drink out onto the walkway right in front of a couple walking past. The couple made a comment, something about them littering. Well, these feral teenagers then proceed to yell obscenities and be completely disrespectful and disgusting, Telling the woman that she's hella old and calling the man a P*ssy". I couldn't believe what I was watching. These kids wanted to fight this couple who were just trying to walk on the walkway. Why are these kids allowed to patron a bar and grill without parents around?! But then it got even more disturbing when a large man from the tattoo shop came out and also began yelling at the woman. Telling her that's his nephew and to leave the property. The woman tried to explain what happened and he just continued to bully her and yell at her just as the disrespectful teenagers were doing. Not one time did this couple say or do anything to deserve being yelled at! What has happened to Hollister? Why are these businesses letting kids act like this in their establishments and defending such horrible behavior? We will not be coming back to this place and I do not recommend the tattoo shop next door.

The bartender was very chummy with them, but she was also friendly to me and extremely professional. I sat outside because the inside vibe from the other customers had been so weirdly unwelcoming. The front outdoor seating area was very pleasant and well done with the sun shades and umbrellas. They seemed short staffed, no waitstaff. The bartender juggled covering the outdoor dining area and the bar fairly well, so kudos to her on that! I got a steak sandwich ($19). I was expecting sliced steak, so was a bit surprised to receive a solid slab of steak on a bun. It was good -- steak was tender enough, cooked to the specified level of doneness and seasoned appropriately. Wish the bartender'd mentioned during ordering that side salad was an upcharge ($1.50). Side salad was about what I expected, for a bar. Basic, no-frills, solid American food. If it weren't for the other customers, I'd come here again.

Our food and drink was PROMPTLY served by Ms. Amy!!! When I say our food looked AMAZING...oh my goodness!!! I was so ready to dig in, I forgot to take a picture. Large portions, a self-serve BBQ sauce station, and plenty of beers and NA options to choose from make for a great visit. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome patio space, great for groups. The brisket and tri-tip were the shining stars here. Tender, juicy, and meaty. Good cuts of meat, and it's clear they put time into their processes. Really enjoyed both of their BBQ sauces, and the baked potato was also very well done. Pretty good service. Order at the counter, and they bring it out to you. Bus your own table; I'm sure it helps keep prices down. My dad said he wanted to come back here every day of our vacation. Certainly worth checking out!

But the owner was nice enough to let me order lunch anyway. Got the large rib sandwich with extra garlic bread. The rib was slightly dry. But nothing too bad. I can smell the smoked meat. I can taste the tenderness. So I enjoyed that. They took time smoking it. But the large sandwich is impossible to hold. Cut it into thirds please. The biggest downside for me was. The meat has absolutely no rub. It needs black pepper, peppercorn or something. It needs spice. The bbq sauce didn't compliment it well. Maybe slather in sauce and let it cook for a nice glaze. Pouring sauce onto the rib only made it taste like sauce and you lose all the smoked flavor.

There is also a pool table and few arcade games! The menu is extensive with plenty of traditional bar food options and some Irish staples. Everything sounded delicious, but I opted for the Pop"s Pub burger. I figured that would be a good starting point to get a feel of how good the food is. The burger was good, but not $21.00 good. The fries were tasty ,and I really enjoyed the side salad that came with it. The burger itself came with lettuce , tomato and a house sauce (thousand island blend). The burger was cooked perfectly , and tasted pretty good. However, when you add a $10.00 IPA to the equation and throw in a tip- I was out $41.00. I didn't like my meal enough to spend that kind of money. For a burger to be this pricey, I needed more. This place seems like a cool place to chill ,watch a game, and enjoy a cold beer. I may just do that next time and skip the meal. The service was poor. Once my food was dropped off , I never heard from the lady again to check on me until she dropped off the check.

I hadn't ate all day so I finished my food, but nobody else in my party was happy with their orders. I ordered the BBQ tri tip sandwich and subbed the fries for a side salad. My relatives got the cheeseburger and the oak fired 16oz ribeye. My BBQ tri tip sandwich was so difficult to eat as a sandwich since the meat was tough and the bread got soggy super fast. I ended up taking the sandwich apart, slicing the meat, and creating a makeshift steak salad. My aunt did not like her cheeseburger at all. My uncle's ribeye was cooked more than he had asked for. The meal was not worth it at all. I will say that I do like the decor and music played here but that's about it...
