Lots of carrots and celery. I love this
    Carolyn L.

I pre-ordered my wings on a Friday night, and as expected, the place was packed with both dine-in guests and a high volume of carryout orders. What I Ordered: * 10 Wings with Celery and Carrots + Tater Tots (5/5) * 5 BBQ, 5 Garlic Parmesan - Both flavors were delicious and cooked perfectly. * Kids' Burger with Onions and Fries (5/5) * A solid meal, and the portion was just right. Overall Experience: This is a great spot for wings and more, but it does get busy, especially during dinner hours. If you're looking to dine in, be prepared for a wait. However, their online ordering system makes carryout a breeze. Just keep in mind that placing an order at peak hours--like 7 PM on a Friday--means you'll need to be patient. A solid choice for a satisfying meal, especially if you plan ahead!

Club sandwich win!! Just huge and tasty

Nice friendly staff! Super busy, we were a large group and seated in just 15 minutes! Cocktails came fast. Wings were epic crispy, great sauces. Onion rings were big and crunchy-so yummy, with a nice sauce with horseradish for dipping. Super kids portions. Biggest most delicious club sandwich.

Being from Buffalo, like to think we know wings. The wings here came very close to perfect in comparison. The wet spicy lemon peppers wings were my favorite. You can order all flats for the flat wing crew(which I am not)! Also tried a party melt which was very flavorful, cooked to perfection and juicy. The spot itself is a hole in the wall, but we know some of best food comes out of those. We ordered to go. They are a very busy spot. Even so the wait was not long at all.

This place is a hole in the wall restaurant, but it definitely has some great wings. They have a wide variety of wing sauces. I got 15 wings with them being split in hot, hot garlic parm, and Ming Wing. The MingWing was a hoisin marinated wing served with a honey sauce. It tasted "burnt" without the honey sauce, but once dipped it was overly sweet. The "hot" tasted more like a normal buffalo which was great. And the hot garlic parm was easily my favorite of the three. It combined a buffalo with garlic and parm. Service was lacking a bit, but given the hole in the wall nature I didn't mind it. Overall it was a surprisingly great experience with great wings flavors to choose from. Food(50%): 8.0 Staff/service(25%): 5.0 Value(25%): 7.0 Overall: 7.0/10

Very good food for dine in or take out. Not necessarily a family place, but a good sports bar. Food is excellent!

I can't believe I have never reviewed what is my favorite wing spot. When I say we have driven from Columbia to Charlotte just to get our wing fix because there is simply nothing better! They didn't get best wings in Charlotte for 3 years in a row for nothing! Everything is delicious but my favorites are the Hot Buffalo, Honey Hot and Spicy Cajun Garlic. I also appreciate that when you ask for extra crispy wings you are definitely going to get it! Plus the entire staff is awesome! Be sure to get extra Ranch as well because I could bathe in it!

Service is falling off been going there 18 years but the last year they stopped answering the phone for to go orders for me. So now I have to place online orders . They don't have items sometimes , they give blue cheese instead of ranch . And it's like they don't start making the order until you arrive even if it's not busy . My wings were extremely dry last time and I tried to tell management but seems like he doesn't care.

Receipt of order placed 6:32pm and I came to pick my food up and didn't get it till 7:35pm
    Joe H.

Order my food online at 6:32pm and said it would be ready by for PICK UP 6:52pm. Cool no worries I show up at 7:10 to PICK UP my food.....it wasn't ready and waited till 7:35pm to get my dam food.

Wings are always great! Service here is always on point and well worth the drive! Very few places I go out to eat at for wings.

small portions and high prices. The size of their chicken fingers are very tiny. As if one decent finger was cut into four pieces. Ugh.

It's a hole in the wall. But it's all the kinds of yummy, fried, homemade and delicious. Service was homey and comfortable.

Flights from Guatemala would arrive, and passengers would walk off the plane carrying bags of Pollo Campero. The aroma was unforgettable. Ever since then, I've been curious about what made this chicken so special. Fast forward to Charlotte, and now I finally understand the hype. I stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the four-piece roasted chicken meal with sweet plantains, coleslaw, and a roll. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The chicken was juicy and packed with spices that set it apart from your typical fast-food chicken chain. It's hard to explain until you try it, but the seasoning has a distinctive flavor that makes Pollo Campero uniquely its own. The sweet plantains were excellent. Soft, caramelized, and sweet with those slightly crispy edges that make plantains so addictive. The coleslaw was cold, creamy, and crunchy, which paired perfectly with the chicken. The service was friendly, the value was excellent, and my order was accurate. I always take a moment to check my order before leaving the drive-thru, and everything was exactly right. If your fried chicken experience begins and ends with KFC, Bojangles, or Church's, give Pollo Campero a try. It's a delicious taste of Guatemala and a reminder that great chicken comes in many forms. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte.

Several excellent local restaurants, too. So I had high hopes today for Pollo Campero. PC was clean when I arrived at 12:30. Quite busy with about a third of the tables in use and the remaining were clear of dirty dishes. Surprising because they don't have a trash can that I could see - the staff bus and clean tables, clearing them swiftly. I ordered a three piece at the counter and it didn't take long until a running found my tent card and I was able to start. The chicken was thoroughly cooked, still moist. Not much for flavor in the skin today, it needed some hot sauce to bring out the taste. The cole slaw was creamy and crisp. Still good but also a little bland. The small dinner roll wrapped in plastic was fresh and fluffy. Overall, it's a nice little fast food spot. If you're looking for something in a known quantity along South Boulevard near the light rail, this will work nicely. [Review 728 of 2025 - 4162 in North Carolina - 24288 overall]
