I can't believe I haven't been to this restaurant. It took a girls pre-Christmas dinner to bring us all together to this adorable place and I'm so glad. We came just in time for happy hour so we were able to try a few things that I didn't get a chance to take a picture because we ate it so fast. First the potato pizzetta was incredible! I wish it had been bigger because sharing with 4 other gals meant we only got 1 slice each - ish. So def order more than one. Then calamari was crispy, a must try as well. I loved my kale quinoa salad and added salmon on the side that was cooked perfectly. Our server was so attentive, she kept going around our table asking what we needed, giving suggestions. Loved how well taken care of we were on a busy holiday week night. I can't wait to come back for a date night with my hubby. Parking is killer though. Super small area. I've had everything on the menu, my kids brought me to dinner here for Mother's Day, sometimes I'm here 30 minutes after they open, what I'm trying to say is don't miss it. It's such a lovely restaurant. It's intimate, beautifully decorated, and everyone that works here is incredibly genuine and so welcoming. I love seeing them. The drinks are impeccable and consistent. The food is out of this world. The fried chicken and collard greens... there aren't words for me to describe how absolutely delicious this dish is. Fondue Burger was a sleeper entree as it was so good. Delicious flavors and you can tell burger and salad were from scratch. Could taste the beef while the cheese, jam and shallots all worked well together without overpowering one another. Ambiance of the restaurant is nice and quaint as you can make your dining experience as casual or formal you want (casual as in jeans and tee shirt not gym or swim clothes). What a cute little place in a tiny strip mall right off the 5 freeway. They open at 4:30pm and have happy hour until 5:45pm. Excellent wines on happy hour, the Sauvignon Blanc I had was definitely a great one for happy hour prices. The slider meat was so juicy and delicious with the garlic aioli and crispy onion ring. The ambiance at the Wineworks is elegant and comfortable with a medium amount of noise. Our group arrived without a reservation, but we were seated fairly quickly and were pleasantly surprised to find we could order from the Wineworks menu or the pub menu from next door - so fun! We started with crab cake and Brussel sprouts (recommend both!) and moved on the lamb and pub burgers - all excellent! Drinks were great and service was fantastic - highly recommend! read more

I don't mind dropping a couple hundred for dinner for my wife and I but this did not measure up. The tables were very small and jammed together, preventing privacy. With the exception of the beet salad, the food was a miss. While the wild mushroom appetizer had nice flavor, I kept getting some sort of gritty substance that reminded me of sand. Please clean your produce properly before making the dish. My wife's salmon was not good. She barely ate a third of it. My steak (a New York), was satisfactory but not worth the price charged. I will say the potatoes on the side were tasty. It was very kind that we were served a complimentary dessert (Basque Cheesecake) for our anniversary. I should have taken the waitress' advice to try the budino or bread pudding instead. The cheesecake was nothing special. The parking situation is awful. Overall, we don't plan to return. read more

Randomly came across this on Resy while searching for a last-minute girls night out! Valet parking was $7.50 which was reasonable and the parking lot is quite small. It's a small wine bar tucked in a little retail plaza. The wine wall is so pretty and it's fun to see all the wine they carry there. We love wine and were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the food and wine selection! It exceeded our expectations. We ordered: Appetizers: Crab cakes - A hearty piece of crab that was well balanced with the arugula. Brie fondue - omg this fondue was to die for! The fondue was heavenly and delicious with the pear and bread. Cheese & charcuterie plate - A bit smaller than expected but all of the cheeses, especially the goat cheese was a total hit. Would've preferred crackers and/or other types of bread served with this. Entrees: Potato pizzette - surprisingly delicious! Never had potatoes on pizza but this was savory and full of flavor! Brussels sprouts - omg these were to die for! Perfect amount of char with succulent pieces of chorizo and not too sweet, we all loved this so much! Short rib - a generous slab of short rib that was melt-in-your-mouth amazing! Loved the rainbow carrots and mashed potatoes. We also shared a bottle of the Napa valley Teeter-Totter Cabernet Sauvignon which was just perfect. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. First time here! Great, cozy ambience and delicious food. I love Dublin next door, so I knew this place wouldn't disappoint. I ordered the calamari and brie appetizer. Both were good, as expected! Our server was so attentive and friendly. I wish the menu was a bit different than Dublin. It might attract a different audience, which would be good for business as Dublin seemed busier and I was there on a Wed. Maybe offer a few homemade soups, with a totally different happy hour menu than Dublin. Different apps with a suggested wine pairing would be awesome! read more

Last night we had an incredible birthday dinner at the only large table they have in the restaurant it's perfect. It's right in the middle and it seats 10 to 12 people. First off, I have to say Sophia our caretaker, for the evening was divine. She was just so spot on with all of her attention. She really made our evening flawless with her impeccable service to us girls.. The food is always so amazing here and of course, I don't have to mention the quality of wine . We all enjoyed different dishes from the quinoa salads to the grilled salmon and beat salads. The pork chops were great and one of the ladies had the burger which all of us were just dying to try... I really recommend that you come to wine works for everyone either on a date or a celebration or just a family get together. It's such a great time at the restaurant is just gorgeous. read more

Went here for dinner on Valentine's Day and were greeted by the owners, who are the same owners of Dublin 4 Gastropub (located next door) and Fable & Spirit (located in Newport Beach and received a Bib Gourmand rating by Michelin in 2021). It was awesome to to see them interact with their customers and manage the evening workflow. Keep up the great work and keep feeding us because we are hungry! THE FOODS | The kitchen is shared with their restaurant next door, so many of the menu items are similar, if not identical. For this visit, we decided to try some items seen on their sister menus, as well as try a few new items seen only on this menu... - Steamed Prince Edward Island Mussels | Incredibly tender mussels covered in white wine, butter, garlic, and lemon with a small pool of this sauce concoction settled at the bottom of the bowl. We used each mussel shell to scoop up some of the sauce and loved every bite. At some point, we ran out of mussels, but still used the empty shells to slurp up the remaining sauce; it's that amazing. The dish also comes with a small tower of thyme frites, which were lightly crispy with earthy flavors. This is a must try! - Heirloom Beet Salad | Soft, slightly sweet red and golden beets, topped with toasted hazelnuts, wild rocket (arugula), Humboldt fog (a type of goat cheese), and smoked salt. The balsamic reduction is diagonally slashed across the plate; a perfect indirect way of letting the person you're sharing with know, "that's your half and this is my half." It's a refreshing and lively dish to try out. - Prime Beef Duo | Buttery tender wagyu beef on one side of the plate and sweet braised short rib on the other side; it's the best of both worlds. A rich truffle pomme purée (fancy mashed potatoes) is generously smeared across the plate and buttery asparagus sits on top. Cabernet reduction sauce is served on the side for dipping. Highly recommend ordering this dish; it is ridiculously phenomenal. - Prime New York "Manhattan Cut" | Ordered medium rare, the New York steak is juicy and tender. It comes with a creamy side of sauce au poivre that immediately caught my attention and left me feeling like I just experienced magic. The dish also includes parmesan herb potatoes, haricot verts, roasted bell peppers, and pickled shallots. It's a well-balanced dish with engaging flavors and textures. Highly recommend this dish as well. - Callebaut Chocolate Budino | We shared this dessert composed of silky chocolate budino (pudding) with sea salt sprinkled on top, banana brûlée (torched with caramelized sugar), and a side of crunchy hazelnut streusel. Vanilla bean cremoux is poured on the base. It looks like a deconstructed banana creme brûlée of sorts; sweet and crunchy. Another dish I recommend for its decadence. THE DRINKS | We should've probably ordered wine, but the cocktail menu was too appealing to pass up... - The Pirate Queen | Rum with crème de banana, maraschino, and angostura. This cocktail is sweet and a little bitter, but the egg white foam layered on top helps balance everything out. - The Hooligan | Whiskey with a little cinnamon spice, clove, and citrus zest. The end result is a smooth cocktail... and my favorite. - The Perfect Pear | Gin with pear, lemon, and cinnamon. Subdued botanical notes contrast the zest and spice. Nicely done. - Forgive and Fernet | Bourbon with chocolate notes and a little zest. It's bittersweet with a kick. THE WINEWORKS FOR EVERYONE FEELS | I love the way this place makes me feel like I'm dining in a fancy living room. It's a charming space with communal tables, bar seating, and stand-alone tables. Be prepared to sit comfortably near other parties (I see you, introverts). See it as an opportunity to make new friends. THE PARKING SITUATION | Parking is rough due to the small shopping plaza it's located in. You may have to do valet parking. Luckily, we found a parking spot right in front at 5PM on a Tuesday. THE ORDERING LOGISTICS | We dined in. THE RESERVATIONS | Make reservations! It's a small establishment, so secure your table ahead of time. WOULD I COME BACK? | Yes! I love their food and atmosphere. When I dine out, I look for a balance between the ambiance and the quality of the food. Unfortunately, this restaurant fell short on both fronts. The atmosphere felt more like a casual bar--no white tablecloths or upscale touches--yet the pricing reflected that of a fine dining establishment. We spent around $50 for two glasses of wine and $100 on main dishes, bringing the total to $190 with tax and tip. For that price, we could have enjoyed a much better meal in a more refined setting elsewhere. read more

They also have a busy favorable happy hour, wine tastings and large tables for large parties. We loved the Brie fondue, brussel sprouts and mushrooms as appetizers. The quinoa& Caesar salads with salmon were delicious. The salmon large and cooked right. My son loves the fried chicken and jalapeño cornbread. They have a kids menu with the usuals. Lots of drink choices! Our server went above & beyond, ambiance was good with winery vibe. Staying at the Fairfield Marriott is just a hop and a skip away from this place. Went for a nightcap and snackie - ordered a bottle Tre Leoni and the Brie fondu. It was a good bottle of wine, without too terrible of a markup. Also, they have large wine glasses, which is always appreciated. The Brie fondu was melty cheesy goodness. It comes with 4 slices of bread and half of a pear. My girlfriend has celiac so we asked for extra pear, they obliged without huffing and puffing and without an up-charge. The service was lacking, but they were pretty busy and didn't have much wait staff available. They are available for outdoor dining. They have a nice little make shift patio set up in the parking lot. read more

This was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. It had a very large selection of wine and the food was off the charts. The happy hour was pretty well priced and we were able to order from not only this restaurant but the one next door, Dublin 4 Gastropub. Our table shared a few appetizers including the wild-caught white shrimp, D4 Ruben rolls, roasted sweet corn pizzetta, and more and they were all delicious. The service was also lightning fast and we were able to continue ordering apps and dinner throughout the night. The Lamb and Filet were cooked perfectly and the sides were just as good. Their food was a bit on the pricier side but definitely worth it if you're looking for a nice dinner out. The owner even welcomed us in and even stopped by the table to check in, the staff were also very attentive and helpful as well. I was really impressed by this little spot. I had pretty mediocre expectations for food going to a wine bar, but was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. We went with a large group of 8 and ordered appetizers to share. The apps we got were the Brie Fondue, Oven Baked Wild Mushrooms, and charred brussel sprouts. All were great and I recommend all of the dishes! We did have to ask for more bread a few times because the slices given were just not enough for all of the brie fondue. The server obliged with no issues. For my meal I split the salmon with another girl. What I loved is that they actually split it for us. We didn't ask for it to be split but it was extremely nice that we didn't have to do it ourselves! The salmon was really good and I am glad we got only half so that we could split so many different plates. For drinks I got one of their craft cocktails - I can't remember the name of it but I know it had egg whites in it. The drink was very good and loved the presentation of it. If you're very rich you need to come here. The flavors are great... but expect some execution errors. The biggest problem was... Everything was overpriced (and the food was not perfect.) This must be a destination restaurant for the Coto de caza people. If you're advertising rack of lamb for $50, I expect a rack of lamb, not three lamb chops. And the mushroom risotto was overcooked and not al dente. The $40 piece of halibut was overcooked although I asked for it medium well (it was dry). sauteed kale was extremely bitter. Probably our favorite restaurant in town with Dublin 4 next door. The pork chop is amazing. Maybe one of my favorite dishes at any restaurant. The burgers are crazy good (lamb and the beef) as our the fries. The fried chicken is our friends' favorite dish and we've had that as well. Upscale restaurant in a small space. We had a Happy Hour here. I was able to leave a message for Wineworks to reserve our large group. I received a confirmation voicemail and text message. Be prepared: the parking is limited with option of $7 valet; carpooling is encouraged. Located adjacent to the Starbucks, Wineworks offers expensive food but really good drinks (wine, beer, & hard alcohol). Their HH is only for an hour: 4:30pm-5:30pm on the weekdays. Our server was attentive. She already poured cold water in fancy glasses which was much appreciated since it was very warm outside. The calamari is very light and scrumptious. It became muggy due to the weather so they opened the front door. Would have been nice if they pulled down the shades or cranked up the A/C. Overall, our party had a great time. read more

Wines from all over the world ranging from $40 and up. As for the food, so much to choose from. We started with fancy tater and the ultra yummy Brie. As for entree we had the chicken and salmon. We celebrated a Birthday on Friday with some dear friends. We had an AMAZING dinner. The service was exceptional, not to mention , the sauces were spectacular!!! Here's what we had!!!!! To start Mussels served with fries on top, the mushrooms, crab cakes, and the beet salad. Not 1 bite left over!!!!! Then for main courses we had the pasta, short ribs, lamb chops, and fried chicken. This is when we started feeling full. Next the birthday dessert with lemon blueberry.sauce on bread pudding & of course with coffee. To die for.
