As a current resident of roy city , I will no longer be going to winegers it is heartbreaking because my Grandma loved the store so much.But because of recent events involving an elderly man who simply forgot to pay when he thought he did they refused to show empathy compassion and decided to charge him for theft. Pleasant staff. Great produce. Love their packaged fruits and juices at the front. About as affordable as a Smith's. Their self-checkout is a little tricky. Great place to stop by if you just forgot something needed for dinner at home. read more

Zero stars for today. I shop this store at least 4 times a week, some days I get great food at great prices, and some days I get okay food at slightly inflated costs. Today today they failed me on so many ways. First let down was dinner rolls at 5.99 a dozen. Must be some mighty fine dinner rolls to rate that price. So good you could probably make them the main course. Then I got let down number 2 at the deli. At 9.99 and 11.99 a pound I thought it was a bit high for turkey or chiken loaf, but I was hoping to get something from the deli. My first 2 choices were out of stock, even though they had a perfectly good display loaf on hand. My next to choises turned out to only be available in long skinny wedges that looked like they expired at least 3 months ago. So I checked on the cordon blu only to hear that they were 4.99 each, which would be about $20 a pound. I gave up on the fresh deli, and headed over to the lunch meat section for my next disappointment. When i checked to ready to heat turkey and gravy I peeked inside the package to see a quarter pound chuck of turkey that looked like it was used as a substitute hockey puck, for a semi pro game, soaking in 3/4 of a pound of brown gravy. My final let down was when I went to check the frozen chicken patty section as a last option. A couple of weeks ago while I was in shopping, I noticed that the cooler for the chicken patties wasn't working properly, so everything was unthawed. I let the service desk know. Today when I opened the case, it had a smell like freezer burned food, and the package I pinched wasn't totally frozen, I could be wrong, but I got the feeling that they just kept the food that had unthawed. I really didn't want to have to shop elsewhere, but today they didn't give me much choice. read more

Talk about unprofessional. One of the cashier's had a head wound in a massive bump that looked absolutely disgusting I mean if you're going to show up to work with a major and nasty looking injury cover it up with a bandage or a hat or something especially in a place where people are shopping for food that's both unsanitary and just revolting and again unprofessional. I think it's going to be a while before I come back because I definitely don't want to see that again anytime soon read more

I just got back from buying a "Califorain Garlic Mealdy" and i have never been so disguasted with a chicken before. slimy NO BREAST it was just bone. I'll never buy a chicken from any winegars again. Please have some standard. i'm gonna be hungry tonight. read more

Great home town store! Close to home with friendly staff and an awesome bakery! Have called ahead of time and placed large donut orders with the bakery for work and everytime they have them ready to rock at 6:30 am; I'm in, out, and to work on time with donuts everyone raves about (and way cheaper than Krispy Kreme). Glad to have Winegar's in our community! Their grocery prices maybe be a little higher, but would rather spend a little extra to support a local business than save a few bucks giving my money to Walmart. read more

I've reviewed Winegar's before back in 2018. I think they have improved some, especially in the produce department. I don't know if they saw the reviews, or if they just decided to up their game. At any rate their produce has been better the last year or so. I really want to brag about their deli department. They always have fresh food in their deli, and I especially want to talk about their barbecue ribs and their scalloped potatoes... OMG they are delicious! For about $25 dollars, a full rack of succulent spare ribs and a large container of scalloped potatoes will provide about five or six meals at home. Their full rack to go doesn't come with barbecue sauce, so make sure you get some of that if you like. YUM! Their other fresh foods are good too. If you shop at Winegar's and you've never used their deli you need to try it! I also know people who don't shop at Winegar's but only go to their deli for lunch. Way to go deli people! read more

So overpriced on a community that is probably average on a socio economical level. Deli folks were amazing. Maybe sales prices are good but a community which may be limited with stores, prices are absurd which to me reflects the integrity of the company. read more
