Windtraders is the only gift shop you'll find in Pandora - The World of Avatar. But it's a cool~as~heck gift shop and may just be the coolest in all of Disney World. Even if you don't make a point of coming to Windtraders you may find yourself here as the Flight of Passage ride exits into this gift shop. #sodisney The gift shop is full of all things Pandora and really well themed to fit that niche. You won't find any of the standard Disney gift shop fare here. Oh no no no, sir! It's full of exotic items from the Valley of Mo'ara! You'll find ancient Na'vi cultural items, tons of real life & fun plants which apparently are fine to take on the plane home with you, Avatar related clothing & costumes & ears, even! They have tons of unique and fun toys for the mini explorer in your life like binoculars, passport toy, kites, navigation tools, bow & arrows, & little lanterns. Na'vi & Banshee plush, picture frames, lamps, a levitation set, light up flip flops!, mugs, pins, figurines, playsets and even hand carved Pandora animals! Items are all displayed in baskets, on wooden tables, using nature elements giving the whole shop a distinct Na'vi feel. The main draws besides all these other items are the shoulder banshees and creating your own avatar. One section of Windtraders is called The Rookery and this is where they will connect you with a special banshee to be all your own. I think they took a cue from Harry Potter over at Universal because these banshees are interactive moving their mouth, head & wings completely controlled by hand and you pick one to be your own. You can buy a perch for your banshee or cradle them or have them sit on your shoulder. Your own special screaming banshee will cost you $50. Creating your own avatar will run you $75 but apparently it will look just like you. You sit in some sort of scanning machine that takes your features into account & personalizes a figurine that resemvles you in Na'vi form. Not gonna lie, this is a super cool momento and if I had money to burn, I'd be all over it. Not only is all the merchandise and the décor at this shop great, but every employee was friendly & eager to tell us all about the unique items. Actually, the best Cast Member of all was the security guard! I was looking through the cool plants and he came up to tell me all about them, about the place they get them from & other fun facts. The security guard!!! Haha #sodisney2 This completely unique gift shop is worth stopping in while you're at Animal Kingdom. Even if you haven't seen the movie, the items are all so fun & cool, it's truly a one-of-a-kind little shop!

A shop devoted to the new Pandora area of Animal Kingdom. A very neat item they offer are customizable avatar action figures. You have your face scanned and they create a 3D model using your face type. They said it takes about an hour to make it so if you get it you'll need to come back to collect it. Other than that you can make your own avatar style necklace, get a stuffed animal, get magnets and other small collectibles, or simply buy a smart water to rehydrate. Staff was abundant and friendly. They were answering questions from guests and greeting everyone as they come in. This location is an exit for a ride, so foot traffic is pretty heavy here. Be ready for a crowd. Overall: A A fun location to pick up avatar merchandise!

This is a beautiful, & well stocked two story store located in Disney Springs!…read more They have sizes for everyone, men, women, & children! Highly recommend this store!

If Uniqlo ever wants to sponsor my impulse control, I am available…read more I walked into the Uniqlo at Disney Springs just planning to browse and maybe grab one cool shirt. That plan lasted about thirty seconds. We do not have a Uniqlo back home in Georgia, so I usually shop online and hope for the best. Seeing everything in person felt like discovering a secret level in a video game. The store itself is a two level playground of fashion. Clean, bright, and somehow calming while also whispering you definitely need that shirt too. The collaborations were next level. Disney everywhere, Sanrio everywhere, and suddenly I am standing there holding multiple Hello Kitty shirts like yes, this makes sense. I ended up buying my niece a couple of Sanrio shirts as a honeymoon souvenir from my husband and me after Universal and Disney World, which feels both wholesome and slightly dangerous for my wallet. The selection was incredible. Basics, fun pieces, stuff you can wear to the park or back home pretending you are still on vacation. I absolutely spent more than I planned and I regret nothing. Staff was friendly and helpful without hovering, which is the retail sweet spot. The self checkout kiosks deserve their own applause. You just drop your clothes in and the machine magically knows what you picked. It felt futuristic and a little like stealing, but legally. Bottom line, Uniqlo at Disney Springs is a must stop if you like clothes, characters, or the thrill of accidentally spending too much money while smiling the whole time. Five stars and a promise to myself to come back with a budget that I will again ignore.
