Oyster creek lies on the other side of the levee. Where it is well maintained and perfect for fishing or just relaxing and listening to the sounds of nature. I was delighted to find out about the covered spots. What a relief from the Texas heat, and to be able to comfortably sit outside during a nice rain storm. I'm lucky enough to work at the beach, which is a very short yet beautiful drive down levee rd. The owner Rodney can be seen riding through the park checking on various things and visiting with the guests. You can tell he really cares about the park and I'm so thankful that he shares his small slice of heaven with myself and others. Green acres is the place to be, trailer living is the life for me. Employees at the RV park were all very nice. It's also pet friendly. We loved camping within walking distance from the beach and the bar and grill which has live music at night Thursday through Saturday. It was also awesome that we could leave our tent set up on the beach to save our spot each day!

The lady who showed us the cabin and runs things is very punctual about setting up a nice cabin and knowing her stuff. What I really love about the cabin is not only is it in a good location, but it's also fully furnished. Beds, recliners, pots, pans and everything you need. They even give you a bottle of dish soap and toilet paper to start off with! My only advice is you should get a 2 bedroom cabin and have a roommate to save money. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

We were sent home last Thursday due to the hurricane approaching... thankfully; as we all know what a disaster it has been. We all stay at Kountry Ranch RV Park in Oyster Creek where we usually pay rent on the 1st of each month. The plant we work at has informed us not to come back to work until Sept. 5 due to so many roads being inaccessible and the job site being under water. So the RV park calls us and tells us if we don't have our rent paid by Sunday they will have all our campers towed. Keep in mind there is a 3 day grace period on rent. We would be back on the fourth to pay... one more day than they allow... in the wake of a disaster and the Rv park wants to tow our campers. Apparently the owner isn't from Texas and doesn't realize that in times like these we try to help one another; not hinder and burden loyal customers.
