So we take 2 grandkids to Windsor pub. They order cheese pizza.....the pizza is served not cut , what eating place serves food not ready to eat? The wife had baked potato and steak bites, worst steak bites she's ever had. I enjoyed the robot service for drinks. The service overall was a little bit lacking. The waitress had other things on her mind and had some difficulties remembering some of the requests that we made. Some of the drinks were a little bit slow and getting to us. However, the food was very good. We had the appetizer platter for our group of eight and I actually ordered two of them and it was very good. And then I ordered two desserts and they were both fantastic everyone love them. read more

I never leave reviews and I'm super sad to be leaving this one! A friend recommended Windsor's Pub and I was super excited to try it. We were sat at 6:51pm, ordered by 6:55pm, and were told at 7:38pm (almost an hour later) that our order was never placed. We had to completely reorder because it had been so long that our server had forgotten what we had even ordered. We were very understanding, reordered, and asked to speak with a manager about the bill. Our server told us she would grab the manager for us and that she placed the order. Another 15 min later, we still did not have food and had not seen a manager. I grabbed another server to ask again to speak to a manager, and we finally told there was not one there. I told this server the situation and asked to find out how much our bill would be comped prior to bringing our food out because we did not want to pay full price after waiting over an hour for our food (had been at the restaurant for over an hour and a half). After speaking with the manager, the server came back to tell us that they could only give us 25% off because it was a "busy night" and they "ran out of things". We reiterated that the reason our food was over an hour late was because the server never placed our order and not because of the restaurant being busy or running out of ingredients. The server then got an attitude with us when we said we would instead be eating elsewhere (at 8:30pm after now waiting 2 hours for food). We would love to have this issue resolved, but will be highly recommending against going to this restaurant until then. read more

Late posting this. A friend and I had lunch in this surprisingly upscale pub in a very small town in south central Illinois on October 4,2023. There seemed to be lots of beer on tap and nice atmosphere . A bit dark but not in a bad way. She had a burger and fries and I had a pulled pork sandwich and fries. No alcohol for us just soft drinks as we were driving that day. Both meals were very good. The buns were exceptionally soft and big. The burger fully cooked and juicy. The pulled pork abundant and topped with just enough tangy barbecue sauce. The fries were typical, I don't think hand cut fresh probably frozen. Our waitress was efficient but not overly attentive. The place had only a few(3) other tables seated. My one negative critique would be that while we asked if they took credit cards we decided on cash after seeing that they added a service charge. But the SC was not removed from the bill. Both lunch cost $12.99 each. Soft drinks about $2. read more

This place is amazing! I used to like the long branch in Shelbyville until it caught fire. The new one is kind of lane. We happened to walk in here after we heard about it and it's definitely worth the trip. The menu has an awesome amount of good food on it. The beers and other drinks here are extremely plentiful. These thieves are selling 4 oz filets for 35.99 and calling it an 8 oz. When I called them on it, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and said it was probably 5 ounces they sent the cook out who said no no it's a 6 ounce fillet that we got shipped by mistake. He gave me a really thin piece of another one to make up the difference, which made the texture all wrong... And I paid $36 for the steak so I didn't cut it and waited till I got home to weigh it on my food scale and guess what it was a under 4 oz steak! He should have given me another one the same size cover what I paid for not that thin little paper like oh I had to cook it in a hurry thing... and I still didn't get the full 8 ounces I was charged a 35,99 for! They offered me a six dollar discount. I explained that when you're charging five dollars per ounce and you're at least 3 ounces short you should be taking $15 off. They only gave me a six dollar discount and still I did not get an 8 ounce steak. Basically I pay double for what I received. I don't care how good your food is but if you're gonna rip me off, I'm not coming back. If you're going to eat here stick with their over priced appetizers. read more

Oh my! We just recently started to come to Lake Shelbyville to camp (our 2nd trip) and found this little gem! Food is excellent! BBQ brisket was fantastic; the fries are great; mozzarella balls are great as well. Steak bites are equally terrific! The bloodys are very good (especially if you ask for spicy - they did it up just right! And the service! Both servers (9/6 & 9/7/22 ~ sorry can't remember names!) we're so pleasant and friendly!!!! Wait time to be seated was originally 15 minutes. It took over an hour to be seated. Once seated we placed our order quickly but we're told that what we wanted was out of stock. Order something else only to be told later it was also out of stock. Very disappointed in this visit. read more

Our favorite place! We are there weekly. We always order FRIED PICKLES which are THE best. Seriously. So. Good. Love the Blue Devil Chicken, only on the menu after 4pm. Oh, and the margaritas ... Service is always great. They have a great group working there. read more

First time at the bar. Pretty empty but it is a Thursday. Special is all you can eat ribs. Those are pretty good. They are pork and that is the type I like, but I did not choose those. My boyfriend did. I chose the country fried steak. All I can say about that is don't get it. It is a thick hamburger patty that is breaded and fried. The crust is so hard I could not eat it. The waitress is really nice and attentive. I would come again and try another dish. But the odd part is the ladies bathroom locks from the outside. Wish I had a scratch my head emoji. Lol. And the handicapped toilet they need to make the door open outwards. Hoping they read this and fix those issues. Would give another half star but it won't come up that way. read more

I got a steak sandwich (which they gave me the wrong one since there is 3 different ones on the menu) and it was still mooing, that's how bloody it was and how gross it tasted. I took my husband here for the first time and unfortunately he got the taco salad. The meat was one big lump and cold and the lettuce was in big chucks and even the shell was cold so he won't be back. He won't let me send it back. My mother had the boom boom shrimp and I had the brisket sandwich which was very good. I have always had good food here and would not recommend the taco salad though. An amazing find in a very small town in the middle of nowhere! it looks like a typical bar from the outside and frankly inside too but their menu was very broad (and we were thinking how could they do all of this) and the beer selection worthy of any pub in a big city. Food price was ok. Food had no flavor zero seasoning. The waitress yelling at each other in front of customers turned me away from this facility . Very unprofessional needs to be handled privately. We never we asked for a refill of our drinks. Alcohols services starts at 12:00 pm. We ordered at 11:50, the waitress poured the beer and left it sit out for ten minutes prior to attempting to serve the now warm beer. We let her know we no longer needed the drink. We were there for the grand opening and everything was great. The appetizers were delicious and filling. We had a good size group with us so we tried the pretzel bites, the onion petals and the loaded nachos so I barely had room for my meal. We tried burgers, the grilled Reuben, and the Horseshoe and no one was disappointed. After our meal we played some pool and darts and even tried our hand at the Snooker table.
