Windsor will always have a special place in my heart after helping my fiance and I pick out and build the perfect engagement ring for me! Located right off the circle, and a family owned business that's been around for 100+ years, the staff at Windsor was nothing but helpful throughout the ring shopping process and we were so happy to support their small business. As a visual person, I decided that before sending my fiance to pick out an engagement ring that I wanted to see what I had been envisioning for a ring actually on my hand. I'm so glad I did this because not only was it really fun to try on a bunch of shiny, beautiful jewelry, but that is also how I learned that Windsor can custom build a ring for you! I walked in and was greeted right away by the very helpful sales associate, Kin, who we ended up working with through the entire process. Kin asked what I liked and pulled out some bands they had at the store based on what I told him. I then showed him pictures of what I liked and he told me that while I couldn't try on that exact ring (because they didn't have one with all the components I liked in the store already), they could build the ring I was envisioning and provide me with a digital 3D CAD file so I could see what the final product would look like - this was SO COOL! I was so impressed by this, because I had assumed that because Windsor was a small shop that I'd only have a couple stock options of ring to choose from, and boy was I wrong. Once we had a ring style picked out, my fiance went back and met with Kin to talk about the 4 C's of a diamond and talk budget with him. He brought out diamonds of different shapes and sizes for us to compare and choose what we liked best. Through this whole process, Kin was never pushy. I never felt pressured to buy our ring from them (which is how I knew we wanted to work with them). They were also very willing to work with my fiance to make sure the ring was priced at a place he was comfortable with and a payment plan that made sense for us. Kin took down the information of the exact things I had tried on in the store atmnd that we had talked about so the process was quick and easy for my fiance when he went to pick out the ring. The icing on the cake of working with Windsor was when they gave my fiance a small, discrete box that would fit in his pocket when he was ready to pop the question and make the occasion truly a surprise. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was to work with Windsor and couldn't recommend them more. We did not purchase my engagement ring from Windsor, but they have done maintenance when the stone was loose, including recommending switching the rose gold head for white gold for more security and changing the head for us. I found this lovely jewelry store on Yelp because my center stone on my engagement ring got loose. I live in downtown so this store was within walking distance. They were so gracious to open the door for me because I arrived even before they opened in the morning. They took it after I filled out a claim check and had the jeweler inspect it after I left and called me to communicate what was found. They even had me drop off my wedding band to get the same rhodium treatment so the look is consistent. They ended up tightening the prongs, tightened the loosening stones in my wedding band too. It looked as good as new 10 years ago when I picked it up. The price point was reasonable as well. The personal touch is what this century long establishment is all about and this customer sure appreciates it! read more

He graciously worked with my fiance and I on pricing and options, ensuring that we would get the piece we want without compromising the integrity of the design. I had a unique vision in mind and Jeremy sat patiently with me over several hours and several visits to understand the vision I was trying to create. He worked with the designers on creating iteration after iteration until it was perfectly what I wanted. After receiving my engagement ring, I wasn't sure where to get it resized. The antique store my fiancée purchased from (in CA) did a pretty poor job (you could see a line where they took gold out and the shape was off), so I was nervous to get it down to the proper size. After reading reviews and hearing this shop had experience with antique jewelry, I decided to give Windsor a try. I'm very pleased with the results! I was able to work with the staff to find my proper size, and had my ring back in 2 days. They also told us about a couple if minor issues and quoted us reasonable prices to get it fixed, but did not pressure at any time.
