I've used Master Jewelers for several repairs over the years. They are always professional, reasonably priced, and timely. A few months ago I had the need to liquidate a fair amount of jewelry from a family member who passed away. Mike was just fantastic to work with. He spent several hours to help me determine what was real and what was costume, as well as tell me which pieces were worth keeping. After disbursing some of the pieces to grandkids Mike purchased the rest for a very fair price for the gold and silver. I took my gold chain here to he repaired. I was met with extremely nice and welcoming staff members. I was told my chain was going to be soldered in spots. I was a little concerned because I typically use Moyer jeweler but Chose Master on a referral from a friend, but assumed they knew what they were doing. But ...never again I paid $130.... It came back with Silver spots where it was soldered in 5 different places. My wife was very upset with me and demanded I take it back. I didn't say anything my bad, on me to employee because I was frankly embarrassed. I have worn it for less then a week, and now there are shards or parts of my chain coming apart where they soldered it. I need a completely new chain now. My $600 dollar chain down the drain, because of my stupid decision. Please I would like to save anyone else the time and money. DO NOT use them for Jewelery repair. read more

I dropped off my watch for repair and was given a written estimate of $50-$60. I was told I would get a call in a couple days with the exact cost and the date the repair would be completed. A week passed and no follow up, so I called and was told that the repair hadn't been done yet and an exact cost couldn't be determined. I affirmed my desire to know the exact cost before approving the repair. However, the next week I was called and told that the watch was ready to be picked up and the cost was $82. No apology was given. This strikes me as dishonest. I will not go back or recommend them to anyone. read more

I took my antique diamond ad sapphire ring to have it repaired. The ring that was returned to me looks worse than when I took it in for repair. Thay have ruined it. It was a ring belonging to my great-aunt that now looks nothing like the ring I brought in for repair. On top of that they tried to charge me twice the amount they originally quoted me. I am very, very upset. What should have remained a family heirloom is now a piece of junk. None of the store employees seemed to have a problem with that. They acted like they were doing me a favor by discounting the price they were trying to charge me, which was more than twice the cost quoted when I took it in. Whoever owns this store needs to be held responsible for the damage to my ring. It is now UGLY instead of being a family heirloom. read more

So happy to have found Master Jewelers! It has been a journey. My husband did a wonderful job picking out my wedding set in his small hometown mom and pop estate jewelry store however this jeweler didn't know anything about jewelry repair...little did we know.... After we were married I wanted to have the two bands soldered together so we took the rings back to the estate jeweler to have this service done. After several months of wear the rings came apart. This happened twice, and as this service from the estate jeweler was outsourced, I would wait 4 weeks at a time to get my rings returned. The third time we took it to a different jeweler in Indianapolis, same thing happened. The forth time after seeking recommendations we found Master Jewelers. Thank heavens! At Master Jewelers, thanks to their knowledgeable staff, I discovered my rings were from the 1920's and I probably would have never soldered the rings together in the first place if I would have known they were vintage pieces. I also discovered the previous jewelers were using white gold instead of platinum (my ring is platinum) to repair the shank of my ring. Master Jewelers had to go in, remove all of the white gold and rebuild the shank with platinum. They did an excellent job with the repair and my ring was finished within the week. It has been 6 six years and I haven't had any issues with my band. I have also taken my ring to them to fix damaged prongs and replace a small pave diamond. My ring always comes back looking beautiful. They really do an exceptional job, their pricing is very reasonable, and they can get repairs done quickly. Their staff are also super friendly, very knowledgeable, and helpful. Other notes: They source Fair Trade diamonds for their jewelry. The have a team of craftsman & gemologists on staff that are certified master bench jewelers. This means you can feel confident they know what they are doing. They won't outsource your repair. My one regret is that I didn't take my ring to them first as it would have saved me a lot of trouble and money. So, if you are in the market for an engagement ring, jewelry, a custom designed piece, or repairs I would highly recommend checking them out. read more

I am really disappointed at the service I received here. I have had to have a watch redone now 3 times due to their extremely poor and incompetent work. I have never experienced such a complete lack of understanding of watches and jewelry. This jeweler was recommended to me by a friend and I will not be going back - ever.
