Arrived on time. Very pleasant to work with. Did the job for less than the original quote. Highly recommend!

My insurance company recommended me going to Safelite but after reading their horrible reviews I felt like if I went and something bad happen to my car it was my own fault. After searching around and comparing google and other fellow Yelper reviews I discovered Coastal Glass Works. I explained my situation and how I needed to have my front windshield replaced and a possible recalibration and that my insurance would be covering the cost and would they be able to help me. The lady on the phone was super helpful and friendly and let me know the process I first needed to take with my insurance before they could take the job. After contacting my insurance CGW reached back out to me the same day to set up my appointment for that Friday. We ended up having to move it to the following week due to Ian. Gotta love hurricanes! I'm busy during the day and don't have the availability to do a drop off or wait at home for them to come out to me. Which would be a bonus for someone else that may not be able to make a shop visit. They had told me 8-8:30 for Friday morning. I arrived on time and was greeted right off by a wet overly excited brown lab and the owner. There was one person in front of me but I appreciated that he acknowledged that I was waiting and let me know he would be right with me. The front room is small but roomie with seating to the left and a DIY Pinterest desk... I ended up waiting for them to complete the install. I enjoyed learning more about the owner and his sister and I had puppy kisses and snuggles while I waited. The back shop area where the restroom is located is clean and organized. They had me in and out in about 2hr and three other people came and went while I was there with small repairs or fixes but I never felt like they weren't taking care of me. The end result... I no long have a U shape crack in my vehicle and it looks great! The owner went over the paperwork with me which wasn't much considering my insurance was handling it and showed me my new windshield and explained care instructions everything to me. They vacuumed all the glass out of my car and clean my windows. Bonus considering I haven't washed my car in weeks! Lol I highly recommend them for their customer service, follow up and work. I did get a quote on what it would have been if I paid out of pocket. And considering that if Ian hadn't come and they could have gotten me in the same week. It was a overall great deal!

I can highly recommend Pro Tint…read more Pro Tint is a little hole in the wall place tucked away on Skidaway Road across from the Savannah State University Stadium. Reid quickly responded to my inquiry, gave me a base quote for tinting the front driver side and passenger windows, plus a tint strip across the top of the windshield. I asked for an appointment where I could wait rather than taking a Lyft home and back again. He gave me an appointment for a couple days late I arrived for my appointment and they checked me in. Reid went over what level of tint was legal in Georgia and showed samples as various levels of tint. I chose the maximum level legal in Georgia and I also added a UV option to cut down on heat. They got to work immediately, and I was out of there in about an hour. It might be a little hole in the wall place, but they are very busy and run a high energy shop. Pricing was fantastic, it was less than half of what they wanted to charge me at the new car dealership. It was a brand new car which I had had for less than a week. They work really clean, and the car was returned to me in pristine condition. Since the tinting has to cure, they put a piece of warning tape over the window buttons to not lower the windows for a few days. It has been a month and the tinting has cured to perfection, no bubbles, no issues!

My advice is to make sure you know what you need ahead of time, and understand your insurance…read morecoverage! That way Misty does not need to get involved and come to your rescue! My windshield cracked on a Saturday morning. I called my insurance (Progressive) immediately, expecting everything to be 100% covered. Well, my plan does not include comprehensive glass coverage as Georgia does not require this (most other states do). I would have to pay my deductible for the windshield, and they would cover the balance. They put me through to glass claims, which is run by Safelite. I was told I had to go in person to a shop to get this fixed as my car is new (2021 Honda), and the safety features had to be recalibrated. Progressive sent the referral to Auto Glass Now, who called within the hour to schedule my appointment. They give you an appointment date, and the time is up to you. The work is completed first come first serve, so you might have to wait a while if there are other cars ahead of you. This is my only gripe here as I spent hours waiting for my car to be done (twice). Thankfully there is a Dunkin Donuts directly across the street with Wi-Fi, so I was able to post up there for a little while. I'm sure Auto Glass Now installed whatever my insurance company referred them to do. There was a very obvious sign at the front desk stating this shop does not do recalibrations. I asked about this, and was advised to go to the dealership for this. They also explained that Safelite disconnects all the safety feature wiring when they do replacements, and Auto Glass Now only dismounts the camera from the windshield, so I might not need the recalibration. (and at the end of the story, it did not need to be recalibrated). The next day, I went to Grainger Honda on Chatham Parkway (see my review on their page if you want to follow my saga along *eyeroll*). They told me the safety features were not going to work because I now had an after market windshield. They gave me a quote for how much the Honda brand windshield and the recalibration would cost (over $1,800!). At this point, I was so distraught and my fiancé took over my situation. Somehow he and Misty worked some kind of magic where Progressive would pay for Auto Glass to replace the new windshield with a Honda brand one. It was ordered immediately and installed on the next business day, with no additional cost to me. I cannot thank Misty enough for being so patient and flexible with my situation! These kinds of car troubles can be really difficult and she made this such a smooth process.
