He was very polite and work began in May. Him and his team showed up exactly the time he said they would. Those guys were amazing. They worked so hard on a very hot day, accomplished all tearing out and 3/4 of replacing that wall. Finished the next day and put the fence back up. It looks great. I highly recommend Doug and his team, the quality of the work and their work ethics are commendable. Greatly appreciate them.

Then they cut down a handful of trees that were not marked and we're not in the power line right or way. They came back to speak to me once I complained and told me yeah, you could have trimmed that tree just fine but we cut it down so too bad. Tried to claim I was being sensitive for being upset they cut down a tree that blocked the headlights from the road into my bedroom and on my property. And told me to go pound sand in no uncertain terms. Complete lack of 'integrity' and I would never hire them or allow them on your property for trimming ever. BEWARE!

As a customer of Polar Seal they need to be recognized for their quality windows and patio doors…read more  Their sales representative was very knowledgeable and the installation crew was exceptional. It's difficult to find a company that will stand by their product from the point sale and years after with their premium warranty.   Every product they sell is the highest quality and I know they will stand behind their warranty. I am so very happy with Polar Seal we had them replaced all the widows in our house last year. We had two patio doors installed 18 years ago, last week while mowing the lawn a rock broke the glass on one of the patio doors.  After a call to Polar Seal customer service, they came out and replaced the glass in two days at no cost to me.  I don't know of any other company that would be so responsive to a former customer's needs.

(He made it clear that he does not work on water heaters as an example or other things that require a license to work on) The process was straightforward and simple: a written contract outlining the scope of work, payment structure, and details specific to the project. I highly recommend this company and would definitely use them again in the future.

I had to stop this contractor just one hour into a wood door installation project because the…read morequality was completely unacceptable. He actually cut the finished edge off a door to force it to fit (check the photos). His intention was to cover the cut edge with contact paper. He admitted he didn't inspect the doors before purchasing them and knew it wasn't quality work. I had him take the doors down and take them with him. I did not want to be responsible for getting rid of them. (see all photos). Although he agreed to return my deposit, I didn't hear from him for weeks. I then offered a generous $300 for his hour of labor installing the doors. I received a communication from him telling me he had too much money into materials and cited some random Michigan law about not being able to change your mind, despite poor workmanship. I then sent a last attempt certified letter to the address on his proposal, which he ignored. I am left with having to file a lawsuit to recover my funds. I would never trust this business or this owner. I have since hired a licensed contractor to do the job. What a night & day difference!! Spend the extra money to hire someone skilled & do your research. I never imagined I'd be in the position:(

Had an excellent experience with GLGW. Marcy and Dawn in the office were accommodating and great…read moreto deal with. I would categorize their installer's work as precise, detailed and competent. They premeasured our kitchen way in advance and created templates for the new granite tops. When the day came to install the granite top, it went like clockwork. They also made the backsplash so its thinner than the counter top. Very nice to look at. This may be a minor detail but its important. I thought their price was fair for the quality of the work. One thing noticeable was that they color-matched the adhesive they applied between the backsplash and the counter. Because of the cost of putting Granite (or quartz), we took our time (about 8 mos) selecting a contractor. We shopped at 5 places plus attended the Parade of Homes where we could see the installed work. The parade of Homes is a great way to get ideas and see work of various contractors. IMHO, selecting a contractor to do granite, quartz or any solid surface work cannot be rushed. And price should not be the sole basis. Best advise - ask to look at several of their work. I have seen work of other installers that made me feel really good that I went with GLGW. There are cheaper alternatives out there but as they say "you get what you pay for". I highly recommend them.
