The shop was full of curtains, cushions and interestingly, wallpapers - custom made wallpapers - did you know you could order such things? I didn't! ...the drapes? nope, I failed miserably, she had to go herself!

Sure the astronomical costs for delicate steel-ribboned chandeliers and huge, dripping front hall-bling pitched most of the stock far out of my budget. But it was fun to stroll through those forests of designer lights, poking at architectural lamps and structurally inspired porch lights.
