To be avoided.
Took a black and white Hobbs top there to be dry cleaned and when I went to collect it the white area had turned a grey / insipid colour.
Spoke to the rude manager / owner who tried to make out that the jumper was like that to begin with!!
So as well as being a useless dry cleaner - he also lied to my face. I sent the top off to Hobbs who said the dark area 'had run' due to being boiled on a wash TOO hot for the top.
This top wasnt dry cleaned at all, it was boiled alive.
When I went back he said I was irritating him witj my complaint and offered me two shirts to be ironed and press for free. WOW. Having damaged a £55 top.
Since sharing my experience with a few other locals, I've heard similar stories of poor cleaning and damage from this rude mans 'dry cleaning' .
Best to avoid. There are many better places to get your clothes cleaned locally - where they do a GOOD JOB and DoNT LIE. read more
