I'm sorry to be negative, but there is little to recommend this place to anyone. The machines haven't been changed since they were installed probably thirty-odd years ago. There are about eight standard load washing machines and four large double load ones. Half of them are usually out of service, going through various stages of disrepair. Smaller machines will need 3x£1 coin to operate, while the bigger ones need to be fed with 4x£1 coin. You have to be in the know as to which machines to use, or your washing will come out covered with tiny dark spots. You can dry your clothes too in one of the clothes driers, which can be operated with 20 pence coins. Each coin will give you around four minutes of drying time. You have an option of doing your laundry yourself, or paying for service laundry, which comes at extra cost. They advertise dry cleaning too, but it is done at another place, as I've often seen it delivered in a white van, usually at the end of the day. No need to worry about the right change, as you can exchange your coins and notes for smaller change in the launderette itself. The staff range for disinterested to downright rude. Doing your laundry here is never a pleasure.

Good cleaning and alterations service although experienced a prob with faux fur trimmed garment which was cleaned using their external service. Repairs were offered after a push. The wife provides most of the alteration and repair service and is very friendly...and very good. There's a small changing area (curtained) to try on garments and be measured for alterations. Nearby parking is awful. There is a choice of metered spaces or using the nearby Tesco car park with caution.
